Chapter 10 - Laying Foundation 2

The Jade Slip Revealed a shadow of a person who was tall, large, a cape on his shoulders with an axe in his hands. He started to project himself in her mind.

"Don't be startled. I am not a complete soul nor am I projecting myself from a remote place. This is my Remnant soul that I attached to the slip before I left for my future adventures. You must be surprised to see your Soul Realm and Dantian transforming. To say the truth even I was surprised to see that happen when I first experimented with the technique. Instead of energy in my Dantian I saw a little me. I didn't know what to call it and didn't find any such thing in any of my researches."

"Thus I gave it a name myself. I called it Martial Soul Realm. The levels in Martial Soul Realm is the same as Soul Realm, but it is divided in to Early, Intermediate and Peak in each level. As you reach higher Chakras you will see that the little guy in your Dantian is transforming and so is your body. The energy will first transform the little guy and then slowly your body layer by layer.

"I was very surprised to find that the release of energy through spells, refining pills, artefacts or martial arts was more pure than normal Soul Realm Cultivators. It would take only a fraction of the energy required for most things than normal cultivators needed. But be careful not to show it and don't let anyone examine your inner body easily."

"My inheritor you will find as you cultivate that your connection with the universe growing with every opening of Chakras. You will be able to sense much more and I will leave that as a surprise and for you to explore. I will only say this don't be scared to find the universe to be much bigger than you already knew."

"Since you will be practicing my technique and, I am your master of sorts, as a meeting gift I will leave you some of the martial arts moves and a few pill prescriptions that suits you. But know that these moves have a requirement of minimum Chakras opened and trying them anyway will have bad repercussions."

"There are three gates to the self-destruction hell: Lust, Greed and Anger. So condition yourself and your mind. It's a man's own mind, not the enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways."

"In the end all I will say is be bold, courageous and don't be afraid to take risks. Adjust yourself in every situation and in any shape, but most importantly find your own way to flow. Write your own destiny and follow your own path."

The shadow raised his hand and a beam of light shot from his fingers to her head. A number of martial arts moves and pill prescriptions started to appear in her mind.

Seeing the shadow starting to dissipate she bowed respectfully and deeply and said "I will keep your teachings in mind master."

This way Maeisha found her first master, The Shadow. She didn't know if she would meet him again, after all as he said he had gone deep into the universe to begin a new adventure. If possible after she grows stronger she will also go on a new adventure.

Though she didn't get all the answers she needed it was enough. Like Master said it was for her to figure it out on her own and so she will!

The next day not only did Maei have a decent car ride, but she also got to ride in the Air Ship.

The Air Ship artifact was built like naval ships that would sail on the sea. Papa Owen explained to her that the runes drawn on the ship were air runes to aid the ship to float in the air, while a stone called Energy Stone was needed to the charge the ship to fly.

The High Grade Energy Stone's charge lasted for 10 days, a Medium Grade Energy stone lasted for 5 days whereas a Low grade Energy stone can't be used in an Air Ship.

The same for the car. Energy stones were needed to charge and run everyday machines.

The Energy stones were actually Jade stones that were charged using an energy rune circle. The quality of a jade and the grade of the energy rune circle determines the final grade of the Energy Stone.

These Energy stones were the invention of mad academician Sir Guimar. When Sir Guimar invented these stones around 350 years ago, no one believed him. Even after a series of successful experiments, people thought him crazy.

Until 50 years later his apprentice invented the lamp which was powered with the help of the very Energy Stones invented by his master.

After that the Energy stones became a hot commodity and an indispensable item to for day to day items in all continents.

The invention of runes was something completely new to her. Though there were artifact like that n her previous life they were magic artefacts not things that could be run on rune stones.

In her previous life there was no such things as runes. But the interesting thing was that these runes worked in place of Soul power or energy.

There were various spells to use soul power to do different things in her previous life. Like the floating spell, Light spell, fire spell, Cleaning spell, Etc which were important for every cultivator to learn.

Thus even though the people here didn't practice soul power but martial spirit they could still utilize the power of runes by performing the same above spells.

If possible in the future she wanted to further examine these runes to see if she could even turn high level spells into mere one time use rune stones.

When Papa Demaris led her to the ship, she was taken through the deck to the individual cabins that he had reserved for them. There were three classes of seating in the ship. The first class cabins that could seat upto six passengers, the second class which were comfortable individual seats that a passenger could recline on and the third class which were just wooden benches any passenger could sit on randomly.

Sitting next to the window and looking at the blue sky and white clouds. She was stunned and couldn't even blink her eyes. She was greedily looking at the scenery outside the window and was unlikely to move her eyes away until everyone on the ship were already sleeping. Though she had been in a magic ship before it was not as grand as this one and nor was it this fast.

It would take them 1 day of travelling to reach the capital city Azov.

It was enough to broaden the horizon of Helena, although the blue sky and white clouds were rather boring!

She didn't know how long it took for the ship to land. But the ship had already landed when she was woken up Papa Owen.

After getting out of the plane, she was led to get in another car. She was somewhat familiar with the car ride. So when she sat in the place, she moved her small little butt and asked immediately, "How much time will it take to reach home?"

The chief steward of the Demaris family, who had come to receive them curled up his mouth corners slightly and explained patiently, "My young miss, don't worry, since the landing site is outside the city walls it will take us one hour to reach the city gate and from there another hour to reach home."

She nodded and said, "Oh, Thank you."

She found that in Torbay continent the cities and towns were built by being circled with tall walls around them. They did it because of the magic beasts in the wild. These beasts were very ferocious and the common people were like sheeps in front of a lion. She didn't know if other continents also follow the same plan but she had time to find out.

The chief steward found the adult expression on the little young miss very cute. The young miss was just like a porcelain doll and very beautiful . It might have something to do with her grandmother being an elf. The little miss looked like she had taken the best features of her mother and grandmother.

'Our family's little miss is finally back.'

Wanting to talk to the little miss more he said "Little miss everyone in the family are very eager to meet you. When I left your grandparents and your elder brothers were already dressed up and waiting for you in the living room. If it weren't for the fact that master told them not to come they would be the ones to pick you up right now."

Maei could see that the chief steward was kind and trying to be friendly to her, so she started talking to him about other family members.

The car was running steadily.

While they were talking Mama Brianna looked at her husband sitting on the other side. She lowered her voice and said, "When Maeisha arrives, don't forget to give a warning to the second son. Tell him not to bully her."

The second son was always the naughtiest one in the family and was exactly at the age of being mischievous. He would bring them some trouble every day and was even one of the big brothers at school. He didn't really care about his older brother and would always try to have fun with his friends at school. Although he had been expecting the return of his younger sister for a long time, Maei would certainly be in trouble since she was so nice and obedient. (Author :This black-belly? haha)

The old grandma loved the second grandson the most. Normally, the grandma would stop them from punishing her second son whenever they wanted to seriously beat him up because of his misbehaviours. Therefore, the second son became increasingly lawless.

"I've already told Lorcan about it." Mr. Fang nodded and said, "Mom knows what to do."

The old grandma loved her grandchildren the most, especially when it came to Maei, who had been lost for so many years. Being her only granddaughter she was even more loved than her brothers. Before being kidnapped the whole family used to fight who would get to play with her the moment she woke up.

During their leave this time, the old grandma had already called them several times, asking about her situation. Having learnt that they failed to immediately bring their baby girl back, the old lady started to scold Papa Owen. Papa Owen felt unloved.

'Why didn't his mother ask how he was doing?'

Besides, their oldest son appeared to be the victim who was always bullied by his brother, but in fact, the oldest son was not really suffering any losses. He just pretended to be bullied by his younger brother. But his younger son would be certainly suffering a greater loss and might not even realize it.

"That's great." Mama Brianna sighed with relief again as she spoke.

She turned her head to look at her baby girl who was happily talking to the chief steward.

It was not obvious when she was born. But now the girl was growing and was the one who looked the most similar to her, among the three kids.

"I wonder when our baby girl would get close with us."

Papa Owen patted her head and tried to console her, "Maei is not familiar with us at the moment. When she develops her relationship with us, she will naturally get close to you."

"I hope so." Mama Brianna sighed.

She didn't know at the moment but her baby girl who was happily and excitedly talking to the chief steward was slowly removing information about the family from him.....
