The Mercenary guild

After a long nice nap I went out to the municipal building to get my ID I knew that as long as I didn't go and get my ID I would constantly get in trouble in this world so I stopped being lazy for a bit and went to get my ID.

Inside the municipal building the moment Angelica saw me she waved and said.

"Alperen your ID is ready you can take it now."

I went to the desk where Angelica was and took my ID from her

"Thank you"

She blushed and said

"No problem, ow yeah one more thing you said that you were new in the city right are you by any chance a mercenary? "

"No, but what exactly is a mercenary ?"

"Do you really not know, they are the people who subjugate those magical beast for coins"

"Ow so it is like renting soldiers out"

"yes something like that, anyway are you by any chance interested in that kind of work?"

Ok I need to invastigate those magical beast eventually and my Level is way too low so maybe going to the guild to work as a mercenary would be the right thing to do now

" Euh yeah yeah I am interested do you by any chance know where the guild is?"

"It is near the central shrine."

"Ok thanks I will be at the guild then."

" All right take care "

I waved at Angelica before leaving and walked to the central shrine like its name it was in the center of the city so from there I started looking for sign of the mercenary guild and eventually I found it. It was a 3 floor tall building where many heavily armed people went in and out I entered the building and I immediatly felt all the gazes at me from all the men I was obviously not from around here, but even though everyone gazes were on me I went to the front desk and ask if it was possible for me to become a mercenary to the old man and he said.

"That depends on you kid."

"what do you mean by that ?"

"You will have to pass an exam to become a mercenary at the guild so unless you pass that exam you can't become a mercenary."

How troublesome I really hate exams well it can't be helped I expected there to be some annoying stuff on my pad eventually.

"Ok where can I take the exam?"

"You will have to go to the training area in the back of the building all the mercenary exams are held there by mister Riser, just go to him and tell him that you want to take the exam, but don't forget this don't lower your guard while asking."

"oh ok I will keep that in mind."

I didn't really think much about what that old man said but I could more or less guess for what he was warning me, anyway I went to the training grounds of the guild and asked to some people there where mister Riser is and they pointed at the muscular tall middle aged man in the back of the training ground I went there and called out to him.

"Mister Riser can I have a minute of your time ?"

"Yes what is it young man ?"

"I came here to take the exam"

Of course I kept being on guard due to what that old man told me.

"Sure, then fight !!"

And on that moment he threw a punch at me from the left, I emmediatly dodged it and took his arm and got him on his back. and when everyone noticed this happening out of nowhere everyone started to look my way with surprised looks as if I defeated some monster.

"Well young man I wanted to test your strength but to think you would win against me."

Some of the people came and said

"How did you even do this mister Riser is a B ranked mercenary how did a newbie like you even win ???"

" Well I just found an opening when he was on the offensive and used his momentum to throw him on the ground."

Everyone was surprised at how easy it sounded even I was not sure how I did this but for some reason it felt like my body had already fought many battles before and I just did what felt right to do on that moment.

"I am surprised that you even thought about that young man anyway you passed the test, come with me."

We went after the test to the old man at the desk and got my status recorded and on that moment I saw why it felt like something was odd during the fight.

Martial arts Lvl 2: How higher your Martial arts level get more you can anticipate your opponents next move and counter it. Gives also more fighting experience, the user will be able to fight as a martial arts master.

No wonder I was able to counter him with stats like this of course I would have been able to counter someone as strong as mister Riser when he lowered his guard while focussing on attacking me, but for some reason my MP was really low now it makes sense why I got exhausted after using create for the first time, but still what am I happy that this skill is something only I can see who know what kind of trouble could happen if they knew about this one, I should really thank that goddess for this one.

"wow kid you were a hero and what is with these stats usually people would be with lvl 5 at max 60 with all their stats how did you manage to do this with just level 1?"

"Well you can see my blessing right thanks to that all my stats get a boost so that's the only reason why I became a bit stronger than the everage anyway when will my guild card be ready I need to level up as fast as possible?"

"Young man I think that you could get your card in around 2 hours."

"Ow ok thanks I will return in a couple of hours then, later."

"Take care."

I went out to walk around in the centre of the city to see how these parts of the city looked, but after walking for a while I saw some shady people taking a young woman with them to a back ally and even I could feel that these people were bad news.
