Interrogation Of Patricia

"Why didn't you save her?!"

Christopher holds Kenyon's collar so tight while glaring at him while Kenyon remains staring at him.

"I should have kept her within our grasp, only if you didn't do such a stupid thing," Kenyon grasped Christopher's wrist, "let me go or I'll cut your hand."

Andres arrives while dragging Patricia whose body is wrapped in chains.

"Where did you get that chain?" Kenyon asked.

Andres turns his eyes at him. "I found it around the university."

"Hmmm," Kenyon aimed his hand at Andres, "I suspect that you're a shapeshifter."

"Well! I am not!" Andres retorted.

Kenyon looks at him from his head to his feet, and he inhales deeply. "I hate knives, they are dull and only for the kitchen."

His words cause veins to pop on Andres' forehead and he quickly pulls out his knife and aims it at Kenyon's neck.

"You truly are Andres." Kenyon inhaled deeply.

He looks at Christopher. "We need to leave you here."

Christopher shakes his head while staring at Kenyon. He drops his bamboo sticks and clenches his hands.

"What?! You can't just leave me here! I need to go with you and find my sister!"

"You're tense," Kenyon said, "and you don't have any ability or experience against those monsters.

"I can't even take a break from protecting you from your sister's strikes."

Christopher grits his teeth. "So, are you referring to me as a heavy load?!"

Kenyon nods. "I hate lying and I don't coat my words with lies so yes, you are a heavy load."

Christopher points his finger at Andres. "What about him!"

Kenyong points an ice katana at Christopher's neck. "Look, I don't value you, and I hate those who speak trash about those who I value."

"We don't need to be harsh here!" Andres stepped in, "Look, I hate Christopher too but he became our decoy.

"So, in token of our gratitude for him being our decoy, we take him with us until we rescue her sister."

Kenyon remains serious, and he swings his ice katana away from Christopher.

"Look, those creatures, especially those masters that they serve," Kenyon sighs, "they are ruthless, merciless even with their allies and servants."

He glances at Christopher. "Especially even with those experiments of them.

"As of now, that fool's sister might have been punished or worse killed by them for being weak against us."

Tears flow from Christopher's eyes, and they hit the ground. He closes his hands and shakes.

"No, that can't be... she is all that I have."

Andres furrows his eyebrows while looking at Patricia's unconscious body.

"I think we need to bring you along with us to our base."

AT KENYON'S ICE TEMPLE (TIME? DAY? UNKNOWN)

"Welcome to my humble house."

Kenyon pointed his hand at the gigantic dark temple having some ice pattern embedded in its walls and windows.

The three of them head inwards the temple, and then, all of them sit on the chairs surrounding the round temple.

Andres is standing while looking at Christopher while Kenyon is glancing at Patricia's body tied to a chain which is wrapped around a metallic pole.

Andres clears his throat. "Your sister, she might not be able to live as a human being again."

"I don't care!" Christopher rubbed himself while shaking.

Kenyon brings out a coat from the drawer beside him and tosses it at Christopher.

After wearing the coat, Christopher looks at his hands.

"What does it mean when she loses her humanity?"

His questions lead Andres to close his hands while staring at a corner while Kenyon is sitting calmly while listening to their conversation.

"If she would lose her humanity, she would not remember who she was and live as a beast for her entire life."

Hearing those words, Christopher only sat on his seat while shaking.

His voice speaks in his head as darkness covers his head while tears flow from his eyes down to his chin.

"What?"

"What am I going to do? Without Snow, my life would be nothing."

"Sister! I-I must save you."

His thoughts are cut off by the loud feminine scream coming near him. Christopher shakes his head and looks in a certain direction, there, he sees Kenyon standing in front of Patricia.

"Now, tell us, what's the plan of your master!"

Kenyon slashes his ice whip at Patricia, every harsh contact of the whip results in Patricia's skin opening and bleeding but it ends up having purple marks and less bleeding.

"They are planning to utilize the captured children to build an empire that will take over the entire–!"

Patricia coughs and all of a sudden, blood flows from her mouth but that doesn't put Kenyon to a halt.

Andres says, "Be careful with her, we will bring her back to her mother's arm."

All of a sudden, Christopher kicks Patricia straight to her face but before his kick reaches her, Andres holds his ankle and tosses him aside.

"Did we tell you to intervene?" Andres asked Christopher.

Christopher puts his hands on the cold tiles, then, he pushes himself up until he is standing straight.

"My sister! Where is she? Where is Snow?!"

Patricia turns her eyes at Christopher. "You are her brother."

Christopher's eyes grow wide and he nods.

"Before being experimented, she called your name every time, hoping that you would save her."

"What?!" Christopher shook his head, "When we were together, she didn't want me around."

"The food that the shapeshifter gave her," Patricia told him, "contains a drug that changes our personality, turning us into a worse version of ourselves."

"I didn't know," Christopher shook his head while looking down, "if only I am aware of her condition."

"But you know that is not her usual behavior, did you try to stop her?"

Her words result in Christopher shaking his head again, and he falls to his knees while shaking.

Fluid fills his eyes as they fall into a gentle stream down to his chin.

ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN

The man wearing the mask who captured Snow is standing in front of a small old woman.

He lends her a golden hair strand which she gently grabs from his hand.

Therefore, she starts to enchant random words while yellow flames are covering her.

BACK AT KENYON'S ICE TEMPLE

Andres is sitting beside Patricia while sharpening his knives with a solid ice block.

"Andres."

Andres glances at Patricia while rubbing his knife against the ice block.

"What?"

"Why did you save me even though I hurt you and your ally?"

"I would say that it's the right thing to do but it's not considered as a proper answer."

Andres stops rubbing his knife, he moves it closer to his eyes; examining its sharpness.

"It was because you're our main leading clue to save those youngsters."

"Patricia, I won't lie... I hated you at that moment that I desired to kill you."

"Why did you hesitate, Andres?"

"I want your mother to smile, to have her strength back. When you said those words and acted like she's nothing, I was furious."

Patricia looks at Andres. "So, you don't want her to suffer?"

Andres nods to her question. "I envy you."

"Me?" Patricia asked.

Andres smiles bitterly. "Because you have a mother that cherishes you.

"I envy the way she looks at you because if I were to compare how my mother looks at me, in her eyes, she would look at me as a monster."

He looks at his closed right eye through the blade of his knife. "You're lucky, that you have a mother like Maya."

"When I die at any moment," Patricia said, "I want you to do me a favor."

Andres hums and looks at her while waiting for her next words.

"Protect Maya." Patricia smiled.

Her body begins to tremble as her eyes are turning white. She is coughing while strains of saliva are falling from the corners of her mouth.

Her body completely turns into the body of a horse with brown skin as she grows into a giant. The chains bind her whole body on the pole burst apart, and she punches Andres before he can make a move.

Andres hits every part of the temple until he is out of the temple, and he crashes into the ground covered in thick snow.

Meanwhile, Kenyon and Christopher step out of the temple, there, they witness a giant tikbalang jumping out of the hole in the temple.
