Chapter 4-Egg

The crowd was astonished at what was happening.

No one expected that with Dwight's appearance and short speech, the ladies would go crazy and cheer for him.

David immediately stepped forward and coughed, "Ahem, please enjoy the party. We are now also accepting gifts for Dwight."

After he said that, the crowd started to line up to give their gifts to Dwight.

Dwight could see that they were here to show off by giving luxurious gifts or treasures and to gain favor with the Starlight Clan.

The party went on, and everyone gave their gifts to Dwight.

The gifts were so grand that many people were drooling over them.

"Wow, is that the 100-year-old golden mushroom that can make your physique stronger?"

"Look, is that an ancient ginseng?"

"There is also a 9-star treasure."

"That sword is a famous item forged by a 9-star blacksmith."

"Wow, that gem is big. I bet it's precious."

The crowd went crazy as if any of these treasures could change their lives, but they were just given as gifts to a lazy brat with no motivation for cultivating.

Many could only envy Dwight from afar, but they didn't know that Dwight viewed these treasures as garbage.

Dwight had many treasures sealed in space, ready for when he needed them.

His treasures were so precious that even gods would drool over them.

None of these gifts could be considered treasures in his eyes.

They were just a waste, but he only smiled at them while hiding his disdain.

Suddenly, the last to present a gift was the Emperor of the Fire Empire.

He walked toward Dwight and smiled.

"Dwight, this is my birthday present to you."

He took out an egg from his spatial ring, and everyone was shocked.

The egg was 15 inches long and had a fire symbol on it.

Anyone could feel the tyrannical heat the egg was releasing.

"I found this egg when I accidentally entered a cave at 17 years old. I kept it and tried many ways to hatch it but to no avail. Until now, it has shown no signs of hatching, so maybe it wasn't meant for me. I'm giving it to you as my birthday present."

"Even now, I don't know what creature is inside this egg, but I'm sure it's a good one."

Dwight scanned the egg and was astonished because he didn't expect to see this kind of creature in a mortal world.

Back then, he had many beasts and pets, but as he got stronger, he freed them all to give them their own freedom.

He knew every kind of creature and race in the whole universe, so he was sure, even with his power sealed, that this egg was a Phoenix egg.

With his power, he could immediately see how this egg ended up here.

He could use fate magic and many skills, but he didn't want to use his powers because he had sealed them and didn't care about the egg's origin.

"Thank you, Emperor Alfred."

Dwight thanked him, took the egg from him, and stored it in the spatial ring given by his Uncle Lucas.

The emperor smiled but was a bit reluctant to part with the egg.

He didn't leave immediately; instead, he called out his daughter Lilia.

"Lilia, come here immediately."

Lilia looked irritated but followed her father's words and approached them.

"Why did you call me, Father?"

The emperor smiled, then looked at Dwight and said, "This is my daughter, Princess Lilia. I hope you two can become acquainted. Lilia, greet him immediately."

Lilia was stunned and wanted to shout at her father, but her royal family had the rule to maintain their image in public as they represented their empire.

She didn't want to shame her empire or provoke a strong clan like the Starlight Clan.

She endured, looked at Dwight with a charming smile, and extended her hand toward him.

"Nice to meet you, Young Master Dwight, and happy birthday."

She smiled and immediately looked away, feeling an inexplicable force drawing her to stare at him.

Dwight could see that she didn't mean it.

He was confused as he didn't know how he had offended her, given that he rarely went outside and interacted with others.

He wasn't the type to offend others, as he was lazy.

He shrugged his shoulders, didn't shake her hand, then stretched and yawned, "Heh, nice to meet you."

After that, he immediately left and went toward Tessa, who was eating in the corner and talking to other maids serving the guests.

Everyone was stunned, but they already knew how he acted, and it was not new to them.

He was known for being lazy and seeming like he didn't have any goals at all.

Even the gorgeous princess of the Fire Empire was nothing in Dwight's eyes.

Despite this, Lilia was angry.

She felt disrespected because many would have tried to hold her hand even for a second, but she saw a hint of boredom in Dwight's eyes.

It was as if she wasn't even a woman in the same place.

Known for her beauty, many had tried to court her, but Dwight only looked at her plainly.

She stomped her feet in anger and murmured, "Hmmph, I'll get back at you one day, just wait."

The emperor scratched his head and looked at David, who was also speechless at their interaction.

"Please forgive my son for his behavior; he just doesn't like to interact with anyone,"

David said immediately, not expecting Dwight to act that way toward a beautiful lady.

The emperor replied, "No, you should not apologize. My daughter is also at fault because she didn't want to come here, and I only forced her to come with us."

They apologized to each other and then talked about some things.

They had equal status and were both respected by many people.

The party went on, and many tried to talk to each other to form connections while Dwight sat near Tessa, eating happily.

Many girls tried to approach Dwight, but they could not get near him because they felt inferior to Tessa's looks.

Tessa was shy at first but became used to how others looked at her because she was gorgeous in her dress.

As they were eating, Dwight suddenly heard a shout behind him and saw a woman rushing toward him.

Dwight was stunned when he was suddenly hugged by a beautiful woman with long black hair and a huge chest.

"Hey, I miss my little brother."

Dwight recognized her as his older sister, Samantha.

She had been on an adventure but immediately returned home to celebrate Dwight's birthday.

"Big sister!"

Dwight hugged her back, as he missed her. She rarely came home because she traveled a lot.

Behind Samantha, two handsome men were looking at Dwight with smiles.

"Hey, Samantha, don't squeeze him so much; you could suffocate him to death."

Dwight recognized them as his oldest brother, Jacob, and his second brother, Steven.

Samantha immediately stopped hugging Dwight, afraid to suffocate him.

"Look, brother, this is my gift for you."

Samantha took out a bunch of treasures from her spatial ring and gave them to Dwight.

The onlookers were stunned at her generosity.

Dwight accepted them with a smile. He appreciated his sister, so even though they were nothing to him, he would keep them.

His two older brothers also presented their gifts to him, and they were equally generous, giving him many kinds of rare herbs and treasures.
