~~Iovis~~
Alasotor flashed the two a small but grateful smile before she disappeared into the executioners room, and the room was quiet as only the two boys were left.
Now that the case was over Iovis felt all sort of righteous rage seep out of him like a flood and he regained curiosity of the courtroom. He began to walk around here and there, completely ignoring the awkward Jadon who had long lost all of his previous might and regal bearing.
Feeling the awkwardness Jadon quickly began to gather the papers around him and turned to Iovis to speak,
" Well….See you next time?"
Iovis absentmindedly nodded,and waved goodbye as Jadon left. He intended to stay for awhile longer but was swiftly cut off by the now familiar ding in the air and the bright screen that popped up in front of him.
[ Due to the absence of the judge all others will be ejected from the courtroom. ]
[forced removal in 5s]
Without any other choice Iovis looked around the large room one more time and committed it to memory then closed his eyes to prepare for the ejection from the room. A strong nauseous feeling arose in his stomach as the rancid smell of the alleyway he had been in before the transport
When he opened his eyes he was back in the alleyway and found that only a few minutes had passed since he had left.
He hurriedly rushed to pay off the bills, realizing that they often closed earlier than listed on their opening and closing hours and after that gathered a strengthening breath and headed over to the fish market.
Iovis smiled brightly as he thanked the old man for the extra amount and bore with the humiliation of being felt up by someone old enough to be his grandfather.
Unlike the other two, Iovis didn't have much time to process the abnormal occurrence that he had recently gone through as he was busy figuring out how stretch 5 peoples worth of food to feed nine.
it was only till he lay in the cot he called a bed that he finally processed how odd what he had just experienced was.
Although the whole experience was odd it was definitely a good feeling to lock those idiots up. As well Iovis definitely enjoyed the feeling of power that came from doing so.
He snapped his eyes open and quietly said into thin air.
"I have a question"
[ Yes?]
The unisex mechanical voice rang out from no particular source, filling the air and the room.
"You said that you would choose the most suitable option for the titles but why me? Why would you choose a kid born in the Recrwer to be Accusatoris? Wouldn't it have been more efficient to give this power to someone who could stop the villains before the were thrown in here?"
[ You, as well as the other two were carefully chosen out of over a 1000 suitable candidates through series of events and deliberations in which we took both your current skills and potential into consideration.]
"…..It wouldn't happen to be something like a lucky draw would it?"
[ Luck is a skill as well. And a very useful one to have as well. As well your point does stand. We will get you out of this 'Recrwer' into the real world.]
Iovis slightly frowned at the cop out response of the mechanical voice but didn't let himself get caught up and continued with his questioning.
" Then who were the other two? The apathetic dude and the Ma- girl with the scythe?"
[ Information is classified at your level]
" Level? I have a level?"
[ Of course. As a member of the system you are given levels in order to gauge how much of the power you get at once. If the host was given all of the powers at once they would either go mad with power or self implode]
It sort of made sense but Iovis's attention had fully been caught by the sudden game elements that had invaded his life and didn't think much more of it.
" Am I allowed to check my level?"
[Requesting permission to show host level]
[Permission granted]
A grand screen, much bigger than the others sprang in front of iovis like a virus alert on an old computer and shoved the other text boxes into the background. Ipovis squinted to read the white text against the bright green background and finally asked.
" Is there a way to change the color of the screen? It's kind of difficult to see"
[ Options for screen appearance:
{Green and white}
{red and blue}
{ black and purple}
{Black and white}
Please select one ]
With each choice more garish than the last, Iovis quickly chose the last of { Black and White] and blinked as the screens suddenly changed colors.
[ To activate please say 'stat sheet']
As quietly as he could Iovis followed the instructions.
" Stat sheet."
[ As the old generation of the enforcers of the law aged and weakened ,crime flourished and the law was put in danger of being overthrown. Realizing this they gave up their powers to the system in order to chose worthy successors to uphold.

Iovis stared at his representation in the eyes of the system and felt conflicted.
" Wait, Why is my Physical so low?"
[ Due to hosts lack of proper nutrition as well as regular exercise routines it has taken a rather drastic take on hosts health]
At the perfect answer, Iovis had nothing else to say and was about to close the stat sheet when he noticed the levels of his skills and items in comparison to his own.
" Why are my skills levels higher than mine?"
[ due to the drastic conditions of Host's environments and high metal resilience you were granted these skills ahead of time in order to work more efficiently. It will be impossible to raise the levels of these items until Host has sufficiently leveled up]
" oh. But how is the experience calculated?"
[ Depending on the rank of the criminals put away, they give points to host. Each rank 1 criminal is worth one point. Since host put away 5 criminals, Host got 5 experience points.]
Iovis digested the mass amounts of information he had just acquired and wanted to end there for the night, but one question kept bothering him as he went on.
"... Where do the criminals go? Once they've been found guilty?"
[ That information has been locked by: {Classified}. Only the [Executioner] has permission]
" So The only way I can know is by asking Alasotor?"
[ That is correct]
Iovis thought back to the impactful woman he had met earlier, who wielded the scythe like another arm and the chilling expression on her face after hearing the verdict. He quickly reconsidered ask her for anything until he was sure that he would not be in immediate danger.
