I’m still sure its a dream. Even if it isnt, it is.

~~Ajax~~

Ajax arrived back in his room and instead of frantically looking around to gain a sense of his bearings and align himself back into reality he just laid down on his bed facing the still dark ceiling and forcefully ignoring the green and white boxes of text that appeared before him.

'That didn't happen.'

'None of that was real'

After 30 repetitions of each line, over and over again, he reached out to one of the many pill bottles on his bedside table and with trembling hands brought one close to himself. He squinted in the dark to make out its red cap and twisted it open then carefully counted out 5 large pills, then began to pop them into his mouth, one by one.

As he waited for the blissful calm that usually came afterwards he was only greeted with a sharp ding that he was now all too familiar with.

A sense of dread and panic arose in Ajax as he read the garish white text on the neon green background. He frantically reached out to his large array of bottles and started to pop them into his mouth, growing more and more desperate by the minute.

For every pill he took another text box appeared in front of him and until his vision was completely obscured.

Once again he ignored the notification and switched up the combination, muttering to himself as he did.

" Red cap for sleep, blue cap for irrationality, green cap for suppression, pink cap for stress, yellow cap for anger...What else?"

As he listed them off he pushed each one into his mouth and chugged them down with water but almost like a physical funnel he could feel them being drained from his throat into something else.

The last box suddenly switched from their usual green and white combination to a stronger Red and blue. Ajax paused his frantic behaviour to observe the contrast and read the text on the new boxes.

[As the Judge and enforcer of the law, one can never waver and must have strong mental resilience in order to maintain peace and order.]

Ajax awoke in a dark room, with only himself and his own shallow breathing for company. He quickly deepend each breath as preparation for the Shock that would come as a result of missing his pills…..and kept preparing.

After continuing the deep breaths for what felt like an eternity Ajax realized that not only did the shock not show up, but it seemed as if it never would. For the first time in his life Ajax felt...calm.

'Now I'm sure.'

The young teen muttered to himself.

' It's totally a dream. There is no way I could actually be okay.'

Since he was young, panic and anger were the only emotions he could actually remember feeling..well that and the flush of pride he had gotten earlier from putting those criminals away. But since His panic had been forcibly culled he was now completely uninterested and unattached to his surroundings.

Ajax untangled himself from the fetal position he had rolled himself into and began to speak out loud, not quite expecting a response but wasn't exactly surprised when he got one.

" So where exactly am i?"

[Host was continuously causing harm to itself. As a result host was isolated until he calmed down. As well, to prevent it from ever happening again, Host will have to raise mental resilience stat.]

The sudden gaming term threw Ajax out of his apathetic state and propelled him to ask,

" Stats? Like a Stat sheet?"

[Opening Stat sheet]

[ As the old generation of the enforcers of the law aged and weakened ,crime flourished and the law was put in danger of being overthrown. Realizing this they gave up their powers to the system in order to chose worthy successors to uphold.

Ajax stared at his pitiful stats for a few minutes and felt a new emotion that he was unfamiliar with. It bubbled up within him slowly and carefully and he felt his eyes start to water.

" Hey, since you diagnosed my addiction, can you also diagnose what i'm feeling right now?"

[ Only with Hosts permission]

" Then tell me, what is this?"

All notifications disappeared into thin air and the room went pitch dark again with the exception of the faint light emitting from the single stat sheet that only served to put Ajax in a worse mood the longer he started at it.

A new textbox finally pinged itself into existence and Ajax could finally look away from the stats screen.

[ Analysis completed. Host is currently feeling: Embarrassed/ashamed]

"Embarrassed or ashamed? Of what?"'

[97% chance of cause: Stat results. Would host like anymore information?]

Ajax considered it, he really did. But decided to let it go for fear that his mood would only deepen.

" So what do I do to raise the mental resilience stat?"

[In light of Host's role as the Judge, host will be given multiple difficult trials to solve. This will also help in raising host's skill levels, which are the weakest out of the three]

Ajax scowled, feeling the tight muscles of his usually emotionless face contort themselves and was put into an even worse mood.

Having gone through so many emotions in such a short amount of time Ajax subconsciously reached for his to-go pack, which he always kept on him the few, few times he was ever allowed to leave his house.

He reached deep into his pocket but came up empty. Hsi attention was quickly distracted by yet another notifications pound.

[Host will not be able to depend on such substances in order to deal with these cases. IS host ready to begin?]

This time Ajax didn't even bother to try to reject.

"Fine let's get this over with"
