The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER SEVENTY: FRANK'S NEW POST

When the new CEO entered the conference room, everyone went silent. Though he was no lokger a young guy, he still had the vigor of his youth. His wide harzel eyes were shiny. All in all, he looked more capable.

"Welcome sir." The staff bowed as the secretary pulled the chair for him. For now, the secretary, Jake had to pull the chair since the new CEO didn't have a personal guard.

"I hope we all are ready to work under the new management of the Haven's company which was formally the Caskeys company. Even though the change was too abrupt, I expect all of you to be ready to work for the success of the company..."

As the meeting was going on at Haven's company, another tension was ta Emerald Castle. After the guards dropping off uncle Tarran, they rode to the castle directly. Jemmy and Naysa had come to castle already to discuss how to enhance uncle Tarran's safety and have people to help him around the home.

Jemmy sat in the living room silently as Naysa went to recieve Marina's call. They had just finished talking and we're going to execute their decision I'm a few minutes time. A Haven's logo has been designed. The designer was none other than Hank who disappeared after his assignment.

"Sweetum, so what do we have to do?" Naysa walked back.

"Follow me."

The guards who were resting and talking about the current news lazily stood alert when Jemmy was out of the house with Naysa. Stenson realized wanted to laugh. They had been gossiping just few moments ago but now looked more serious than ever.

"Madam, tell boss to at least look casual for a moment." Frank joked to ease the tension. Naysa simply laughed.

"Frank, from today, you'll be moving in to the Haven's home as Mr. Tarran's new personal guard." Jemmy said. After all the house was to be renovated and expanded starting from tommorow. He wanted to make sure Naysa's only relative was safe and comfortable. "Take at least twenty more guards with you."

Frank wanted to cry. How could he leave such a lively castle and be a personal guard to Mr. Tarran. He was a bit old and didn't have the same sense of humor as that in the Emerald Castle. Besides, he will miss being with their madam boss and boss himself. He will miss seeing boss throwing a tantrum. He will miss the trouble seeker Hank.

"Of course." He nodded gloomily. He would have tried arguing but no, Naysa was present. Besides, he wasn't in any position to argue with his boss.

"Frank, don't think about it too much. Uncle Tarran will find his own personal guard and you'll come back. We all know the turn of events has been too abrupt and he didn't have enough time to prepare. You'll just accompany him around for now." Naysa, seeing Frank's frowned face, she explained. Frank nodded.

"Will you get ready and drive over to the company now?" She asked. Frank nodded. "Sweetum, I have to go with him. I doubt if uncle can trust him that easily if he sees him alone."

Jemmy was forced to accept.

Naysa, Frank and the appointed guards entered the cars and left. A number of maids were dispatched of to the Haven's home in a different car driven by Adrian. Stenson and Jemmy rode to Red State Company where Jemmy had a dealing for few hours before meeting Naysa in the evening and going over for his introduction. Among the maids that were assigned at the Haven's home was Aunty Wen, Naysa's favourite aunty so far.

Evening...

After the conference meeting, Uncle Tarran had gone back in his office in company of his new guard Frank. As the funny guy that he was, he tried making jokes but uncle Tarran had more to do. He only managed to force a smile or sometimes keep snorting, making Frank very bored and unhappy.

Time to go home, he has entered the elevator with Frank who pretended to zip his mouth. Once they entered the car, Frank cleared his throat.

"Sir... At least don't make our work this boring." He complained. They were a total of three guards here since they ad come here in one car. The other guards were at home already. When they two heard what Frank said, they all agreed.

"Sir, sometimes you have to throw a tantrum, make some small useless dramas so we won't have to doze off the whole day." Another one say.

"I have more than enough to do. I can't leave work to come dramatize with you people. Will you drive?" Uncle Tarran said. He was too tired since this was his first day at work and he had a lot of work to do. Frank swallowed hard and started the engine.

When uncle Tarran got home, he couldn't help but exclaim. The renovation was in place. At the same time, the maids were here doing the work already. He was also told that he should be expecting visitors in a few hours time.

Meanwhile, The president's home.

Clare Winters sat cross legged I'm the living room with a newspaper that read, "THE SUDDEN RISE OF THE HAVEN'S FAMILY."

She went through the piece of new and sighed. "Mmh... What a fortune." She thought.

"Hey mom, aren't you getting ready?" Jace came in hurriedly carrying a parcel.

"Get ready for what?" Clare asked.

"Mr. Griffin, the Mayor is holding a party at Polar hotel today. He invited all the renowned families, including us." Jace placed the parcel on the table. Clare took it and opened it.

"Why is he holding a party?" Clare asked before reading the card inside.

"He really said he has never held a party since the graduation of his son Ridden Griffin. " Jace Said.

"What about your dad?" Clare asked.

"Dad got the news already. He'll be waiting for us at the hotel. We need to be going in a few hours time." Jace ran upstairs. Clare also stood up to get prepared.

Somewhere, someone was throwing a tantrum.

Naysa just called to inform Jemmy that they had to postpone the introduction since Marina had invited her to Polar hotel earlier. Besides, the introduction would take longer which might delay her arrival to keep Marina company. She also said she really wanted Marina to be present during that day sincr she was the only sister she had.

After cutting off the reciever, Jemmy was really angry because he had gotten ready for it. Unaware of what Naysa had told Jemmy, Stenson was surprised to see Jemmy scattering everything near him. So he went to ask where the problem was only to be met at the door step with Jemmy's phone right on his chest. He simply ran out.

Hank arrived intending to tell Jemmy that Larry was in K nation and would drive over to the castle the next day, but seeing him smashing the glasses, he simply assumed him and went to his room.

Naysa arrived earlier at Polar hotel and went to Marina's office where Marina sat with Erin. Being the party girl, Erin excused herself and left.

"I heard that the Griffins are the ones throwing a party." Marina said.

"The Griffins? What good news of they have so far?" Naysa asked.

"I haven't heard of anything. Livia promised to be here." Marina said. It was in time her phone rung. The caller, Livia. After being informed that she was already downstairs waiting, Naysa and Marina entered the elevator and descended.
