"No... You can't go inside." Naysa stood before him, spreading her hands to secure the door.
Jemmy didn't actually want to force his way inside but he was curious, why doesn't she want me to go in? What's in there?
"Why?" Jemmy asked.
"That's my bedroom and it's private. You're a man. You can't get in." Naysa looked at him.
"Huh!" His black eyes shone and his pink lips curved curiously. He took a step more ahead and Naysa reacted quick by taking a step towards him to decrease the distance between them but what happened next made both of them freeze. The towel fell down, exposing her smooth skin, her curves, her soft breasts.
Naysa wanted the floor to just open and swallow her alive, while Jemmy felt the site before him was so breath taking. He held his breath as he swept a quick glance at her before holding out the towel.
"Am sorry." He said.
Naysa closed her her eyes and walked to the seat where she sank in the soft cushion, burying her head in her arms and roughly brushing her hands in her hair. "Umm....am just.... It's not what you think, I never intended anything to happen, all this was a mistake... Don't..."
Her voice was sad and Jemmy looked at her, suprised by her reaction. Though he wasn't sure what he would do if he were in her position, he thought she was too emotional now. He took slow steps to her. Naysa raised her face and their eyes met. Jemmy felt like his heart was stabbed by an arrow as he saw the teary eyes.
She's crying? Just because a towel fell off?
"No... Don't come close... It's not like j want to seduce you, please am sorry for everything." Naysa quickly stood up and ran to the bedroom, locking the door behind her. After a while of crying and cursing nature for making her feel this bad, she got dressed in a simple yellow dress with black flowers and half opened the door, thinking Jemmy was by now gone, but to her suprise, he was seated there, going through the lyric book she had left on the seat. When the door cracked, he looked up and their eyes met.
"Can I come in now?" He asked.
"Why do you so much want to get into my bedroom?" She asked.
"Am just curious." He said, standing up and walking to her.
Fearing that another awkward encounter can happen, she stepped aside to let him in.
Jemmy walked past her, avoiding any physical contact with her least she gets emotional. Looking around, the nineteen flowers were still there, and something more, the copy of each photo was neatly framed and arranged on the table. So, this was why she didn't want me into her bedroom?
"Am sorry I took the photos." She lowered her face and said. "I just... I just can't explain,I don't know but... Am sorry I took them."
"Is that why you didn't want me to get in?" He asked, looking at her closely. Like an obedient child, Naysa nodded.
"Aren't you angry?" She finally looked up.
"No... Why would I? The photos are of you and I, you have all the right to have each copy, ok?" Jemmy said.
"And... Have you forgiven me? About what happened earlier?" She looked away shyly.
"Mmh." Jemmy nodded. Her reactions were just too cute. She was too childish that Jemmy found it hard to believe she snatched Stenson's gun and shot at his feet. She looked fragile and young, blooming in the orange sun rays that penetrated the room. Her eyes ran over him widely. Jemmy could see her innocence in those wide eyes. She was a few inches shorted than him. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"Because I want to take you home. I hired new maids so next time you won't ask me why their is only one woman at the Castle." Jemmy said.
"You're too straight forward," Naysa complained while smiling.
"Don't you like it?" He asked.
"I do." She replied with a shy smile.
"I have a question for you, if I love you, will you love me back?" He asked.
"Didn't you say you love me already?" She asked.
"I did say yes, so, do you love me back?"
Naysa's mouth dried as she looked at him. This was the same question Marina had asked her and she didn't have an answer. Now, Jemmy looked into her face and with a sincere face, he asked the same question.
"Naysa, do you love me?" He repeated, this time, moving an inch closer...
