THE TOURNAMENT

Returning the saved elves back home, the prince had the chance to meet the elf princess. She was so happy that her people were saved and returned safely to them. Usually, humans would have taken the elves to their kingdom to use as slaves. This was so due to the beautiful nature of the elves. The elves could not easily solve the problem as in terms of military power, they were the lowest among the five kingdoms despite being blessed with a lot of spiritual power. They said their goodbyes and as they were about to leave, the elf princess rewarded them with necklace with a green gem at the bottom of it. This was known as the gem of spiritual attraction and only the elf kingdom had it. With it, multiple spirits can be attracted to a person but only one can be used at a time. They returned to their kingdom and the king was really proud of his people when they reported to him. He congratulated and blessed them then sent his attendants to bring what he had prepared for them. He had prepared a set of bow and arrow for Angel and a sward for Damon. He explained that the bow and arrows belonged to the previous witch queen and the sward was for the founder of the kingdom. It is said that the sward was enchanted by the first witch king and only a worthy wielder who stands for the good of all can unsheathe it. Damon stepped forward and as he stretched his hand towards the sward, it begun to emit an enormous green aura as blinding as the sun's light and when he removed it from its sheath, thick dark clouds covered the whole kingdom followed by a loud clap of thunder and the skies cleared again. Angel also accepted her bow and arrow and they headed to the arena of kings where the tournament would be held. The placed was named so because many great kings emerged victorious from that arena and even the previous witch king was one of them. This was the only place where two or more kingdoms can meet and would dare not to start a conflict as the wrath of the dead kings would befall them. Some time back, people did not believe it till one day, there was a misunderstanding and the kingdoms begun to fight among themselves in the arena. The skies suddenly got covered with dark clouds and a barrage of lightening started striking at the orchestrators of the fight. This was enough to make them believe and refrain from any sort of conflict once they were there. The announcer introduced the kings and kingdoms participating in the tournament. Starting at the top was the Kingdom of Grace which was the kingdom of the wicked king, followed by the Kingdom of Elves, the kingdom of The East, the Kingdom of The West and the Kingdom of Heart which was Damon's kingdom. In the same order, the representatives of each kingdom were introduced to the crowd. They had prince Troy from the kingdom of Grace with his partner being his younger brother prince Hans. Next was the elf princess Agenta and her young general Alana. They had Prince Ray from the eastern kingdom along with young general Ariel. Prince Carl of the west accompanied by his twin sister princess Blaze. And finally we had Prince Damon of heart accompanied by his fiancée lady Angel. The whole crowd was amazed by the astonishing beauty of the ladies in the arena and you could hardly believe that they could wield a sward if you just met them. Princess Blaze was the most eye catching and dangerous as they all believed because she was able to defeat a beast at the age of ten. She was born with intense fire magic and hence the name blaze. The tournament begun and the elf princess attacked Angel first. She blocked it with a barrier spell and summoned a wild wind with the snap of her finger. Everyone at the arena was really shocked at how she was able to do that without casting and even the greatest mages could not do that. Damon walked up to her and told her to let them use only barrier magic to defend and attack them with their own strength. She smiled and they began to walk in the arena with their barrier magic activated. Some time passed and the eastern and western kingdoms were eliminated by the elves and heart respectively. Three kingdoms remained and the elves decided to use their trump card. Calling on the spirit of the fire wolf, they sent destruction to the whole arena which knocked out prince Hans of the Grace Kingdom. He was now out of the battle and the elves were exhausted after that so they were easily dealt with by the angry prince Troy who kept striking at them even when they were down. His anger exposed him of using dark sorcery in the tournament and the official said it was not against the rules to use it so the competition continued with Troy repeatedly hitting the defenseless elves. Angel got angry by the sight and Prince Damon covered the elves with his barrier magic then took them to the elves medical support unit. One of the healing elves recognized him as her savior and was more shocked to know he was actually a prince. Due to the level of their injury, the prince realized none of the elves there despite having remarkable healing abilities could heal them. The prince then healed them himself and went to sit next to his father in the crowd. He leaving the arena automatically meant he was out of the competition. Prince troy turned his attention to Angel and begun to fight her. He kept striking and striking then he realized that no matter how powerful his strikes were, she just cancelled his magic spells so he decided to use magic to boost himself to make him stronger, faster and more agile. For the first time angel was excited to be in a battle. He struck over and over again but Angel could catch them. She deployed her wings and begun to fly catching the attention of everyone. The king of Grace realized she was a witch and asked the official to end the battle but he said he can't. He tried to complain about the fact that Angel was a witch but the official said that no rules prevent the witches from participation. She then summoned a flaming wind fist which caught him off guard. And beat him to a pulp. The tournament was finally over with the kingdom of heart being revealed as the winner. And everyone, even those from other kingdoms were clapping and cheering for them.
