A girl Evelyn Blackwood who's 21 comes to the City from the village. She is a fashion designer who belonged to a rich family. Her dad married her mother and inherited the business of her maternal grandfather. He later cheated on her mother. Her mother being a woman of principals valued her self respect and left. She was abandoned by her family. She had to raise Evelyn all alone. Evelyn came back to the city after 20 years to seek revenge from her father. She crosses path with Cole Garrison. Cole watched as Evelyn walked away from there. He watched them with a raised eyebrow. Before entering the place Evelyn looked back at him with a glare, rolled her eyes and entered the place. Cole's lips curved and his handsome face was adorned with a smirk. "I am supposed to get angry but why am I not?" He said smirking while looking at the direction where Evelyn disappeared. "Ahem Young Master Garrison?" The old man who was standing beside Cole said "where would you want to go for lunch?" He was his dad's assistant who worked there for many years.
His name was Harrison Lane. He knew even if Cole looses his temper and looked down on others, he still respected him. He spoke again as Cole was getting zoned out again and again. "Young Master! Your father asked for your presence. Would you go and have lunch first?" In reply Cole just smirked and said "Let's go Mr. Lane. I have something else important too!" Saying this, he is started to walk towards his car. They sat in the car and left the place too. Meanwhile Evelyn were sitting at a neat looking table with your mother and friends.
She watched as Cole left. She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Arrogant brat" she thought. "Evelyn! Where are you lost? Place your order!" She heard Cara's voice and snapped back. "Uh- oh- ow I want some spaghetti with marinara sauce and meat balls please" She said politely. The server nodded and walked away to get their order. They were waiting for the food while having small talks. "Tomorrow the interiors of your place would be finalised and in two days your office would be ready" Liam spoke while sipping his Mimosa. Evelyn replied "That's nice I get to come here"
On the other side in the Garrison house, Cole was getting restless and zoning out thinking about the girl who for the first time caught his eyes. He chuckled remembering her challenging eyes. He got home after having lunch. He had to go and see his father. He was about to leave but suddenly his father walked in. "Hey dad! You asked for me?" He chimmed seeing his dad. His dad Victor Garrison was the most wealthy man having a net worth of $173B. Cole's net worth was also a whopping $937M. To sum it all up they were RICH.
Victor Garrison was a friendly man. He was 61 years old but he maintained himself well. He had a strong body and impressive physique for a 61 years old! The Garrison industries were big names in the Iron and Steel market. Cole was arrogant and egoistic. He acted cold to everyone but was very close to his parents. He always had a nice environment growing up as his parents were always present in his life. His dad never stopped flirting and loving his mom. Victor Garrison walked into the living room and smiled at his son. "Cole I have something important to tell you. Sit with me son" He said with a warm smile, sitting on the couch. Cole looked at his dad curiously and sat beside him. Victor started to speak "You know Dominic Wells?" "The owner of Wells Automobiles?" Cole asked while frowning. "Yes yes him" Victor smiled and leaned on the couch. "His daughter Olivia went to the same university as you" He said with his eyes closed. Cole still had the frown on his face. He asked "I see? So?"
Victor looked at his son and said "You're 25 now. Soon you'd take the charge of the company." Cole raised his eyebrows guessing which way the conversation was going. He said "Dad get to the point!" But then, "What are you both talking about?" A deep womanly voice was heard making both the men smile. It was Cole's mother Lila Rose Garrison. She was a powerful woman. She was a social worker and very famous. Seeing her come down, Victor dramatically placed his hand on his chest and said "Oh my dear God! The love of my life is here!"
Lila looked at her husband in disbelief. He got up and hugged his wife, pecking her lips. "Our 25 years old son is here you shameless old man!" She said with wide eyes! "Ah baby why do you worry? Even our son would be doing all that soon!" He said while hugging his wife tightly making Cole chuckle. Lila looked at him frowning and asked "What do you mean Cole would do it soon?" Victor looked at them and said "So as I was saying Dominic Wells's daughter Olivia went to same university as our Cole!" He paused a little.
"Dominic hinted at Olivia is interested in our Cole. So I was thinking what if we talk about Cole's marriage?" He suggested to which the mother and son rolled their eyes. "Olivia Wells wants to marry my son?" Lila asked? "What does she do apart from partying?" She added. Victor thought for a while and said "Mr. Wells did mention her daughter completed her Bachelor in Designing. She is a fashion designer. She plans on having her own fashion line" Lila rolled her eyes again "If she managed to marry Cole watch her opening the store after marriage" Victor frowned.
"What do you mean?" He asked getting curious. Lila looked at her husband with a side eye and said "That girl is one of the most destroyed girl in the city. All she does is party. She never worked a day in her life! What do you mean she would open a fashion line?" Victor looked at his wife taken aback. "How do you know this?" He asked. Cole said "She was dating Will in University" his jaw clenched as he continued "As you know Will comes from a humble background but was good at his work. Olivia dated him"
Victor went silent after hearing this. He remembered that boy. He was a cheerful person but suddenly something happened due to which he became silent and cold. Cole continued to speak "She dated Will for a bet and then kept dating him because he would get her works for her course done" he sighed as his jaw clenched more. Victor asked "then?" His voice was a little shakey. Cole continued "One day Will found out Olivia was cheating on him with multiple random men. She laughed at his face and told him she only dated him because he was stupid"
Cole took a deep breath and looked at his dad. "She just wanted to get her works done through Will" Lila felt pity towards the boy. "Oh poor thing!" She said in a low tone "No wonder he got so silent" Cole looked at his dad and said "Even if she is the last person in the world I'd never date her not to mention marrying! Instead I have someone better in mind" He smirked!
