The Hidden Attunement - The Shadow

Ian, Vyrella and Bavery are on a quest to find Samantha and they found him on a secluded cave near Mindrax's place.

"Is that creature nuts? Why did he bring your honey here. I didn't dropped any sweat finding them." Bavery said to Ian.

"Maybe this was just a trap, we should still be very cautious upon entering." Ian replied.

"Ian's right, we should not let our guard down yet. This is the first time I sensed someone who is stronger than Kratos. I really feel that creature is way stronger than all of us." Vyrella said with tension building up.

"I will get Sam from that creature no matter what. I need to save her." Ian responded.

The voice of the creature talked to their minds saying "Ian is just permitted to enter this cave, if you will not follow my instruction, I will make sure you will not see Samantha again."

Ian, Vyrella and Bavery followed the creature's order and Ian decided to enter the cave alone. The creature casted a cursed barrier that prevents any Titan to enter the cave.

"Be careful Ian and avoid fighting him, settle it with words as much as possible. You might be walking into a trap." Vyrella warned Ian.

"Let's do it Master, we are here to support you." Heat said.

"Just don't let yourself be killed by that bastard." Zexerav said.

"You are a lot stronger now, you have four titans and one djinn to protect you so just stay focus." Xerath said.

"I will Xerath, I know we can beat him." Ian answered confidently.

Ian reached the area where the creature is lurking. With no hesitation, Ian rushed to the shadow creature to attack him.

"Ian stop!!!" Samantha shouted.

"Sam? Thank goodness you're safe. I was so worried. Did he hurt you?" Ian asked while hugging Sam.

"No Ian, he will not hurt us." Samantha answered while touching Ian's face.

"What do you mean Sam?" Ian asked.

"He just wanted to talk to you. He is Eros, my grandfather." Samantha answered.

Ian was shocked and became speechless saying "What?".

"Yes Ian, I am Samantha's grand father, Eros Winde. I wanted to talk to you privately, that's why I brought you and Samantha here to talk." Eros said.

"But why did you said you'll kill me?" Ian asked Eros.

"My identity shouldn't be exposed as I have no place to live in this universe and dimension. I am an exile, so this is the safest place for me to hide." Eros responded.

"What did you do to become an exile?" Ian asked.

"Nothing... That's how cruel this universe has become. I am going to share my secret to you but make sure you won't tell it to anybody. I know I can trust you and you are my only hope." Eros said.

Ian stared to Eros' eyes sincerely. Eros noticed that he is an honest man so he decided to share his secret to Ian.

Eros took a deep breath saying "A long time ago, my father and the great grandfather of Samantha, Jax has a best friend named Zeo. Zeo, as we all know is the Soul almighty which is considered to be the creator of life. He was sealed by Baron and Thalos in order for them to become the most powerful gods living in this universe. Baron was sealed by the ten titans to the Grand Soul Gem and Kratos keeps on protecting it from Baron and Thalos' bloodline. You are still not aware of the ancient attunements and the most powerful wizardry in this universe. It is not the Sun but they are the Soul, which is the primary attunement of Thalos, Baron and Zeo, and the SHADOW, which is Jax, Samantha's father, and my primary attunement. This is the right time for you to know that Samantha's father is a Titan, He is a Soul Titan with the Golden Lion, Kratos. I am the father of Kratos but I sacrificed my soul to save Kratos from extinction because he is a Shadow attuned. He became a Soul attuned because of my Soul but my essence lies within the Shadow, that's why I still have my identity. Soul attuned beings can take life easily but to counter them, you have to be a Shadow attuned. Soul signifies life while Shadow signifies death. Soul is dark over light, it means the dark attribute overpowers light. That attribute uses light magic but they are one with the dark. The Shadow attribute is the reverse of Soul. We used dark curses, however, we are one with the light.

You are the son of Lara Smith and the grandson of Thalos, you are not just a sun attuned but you are also a naturally soul attuned wizard. Jax on the other hand, was betrayed by Zeo and killed him. That's why I used Kratos to use my soul to fight Zeo and the rest of his disciples, that includes you Ian. You are a disciple of Zeo but you are a lot different from them because you are raised in light's glory. You are the one who can change this universe back to its usual balance including the disciples of Jax. Zeo made an irreversible rule that became a curse that all Shadow attuned must be extinguished. That's the reason why we are here lurking on the Forbes Wasteland."

"Why are you telling me this Eros?" Ian asked.

"It is because I plan to change your Soul attunement into Shadow attunement to regain the rights of Jax's disciples. I will become one with you by fusing my essence to your body. I will not be able to communicate to you but I will give you my power that is linked with the shadow to beat Kratos. You cannot use this power if you are not fighting a soul attuned being. We can't fight back if we keep on hiding. You are the only hope of the Shadow attuned beings Ian. I now put my full trust in you. Please protect Samantha as well Ian, you both have my blessing." Eros said.

"One last question Eros. If Samantha is your grand daughter and her father is Kratos, that makes her....." Ian asked.

"Yes Ian. SHE HAS BOTH SOUL AND SHADOW ATTUNEMENTS. That's why you need to protect her from Zeo." Eros answered.
