Fateful Night V

The ominous blood-red moon looms on the horizon, casting its eerie glow upon the window. It is the sole witness to the heinous bloodshed that occurs within the dark and foreboding black witches' lair.

With a swift and decisive strike, Chaos plunged Xavier into the wicked witch's stomach, silencing her words before they could escape her lips.

Crimson liquid scattered hither and thither, painting the floor with its vivid hues. Some of it sprayed his arms, staining his precious armor with the enemy's blood. His eyes were filled with a deep sense of revulsion as they fell upon the stain.

"O-our queen will seek retribution for our d-death." The witch spoke barely audibly as she gasped for breath.

His head jerked to the dying witch, surprised that she was still alive.

Eyebrows scrunched in displeasure, he drew the gleaming sword from her stomach, and a crimson tide burst forth from the grievous injury.

Once more, he plunged Xavier into her frame, but this time he struck at her chest, splitting her heart into two without mercy.

Blood flowed from her pale lips as she contorted in excruciating pain, ultimately surrendering to her death.

As the beads of perspiration trickled down his brow, he pulled out the sword and watched as the lifeless form dissipated into a dense cloud of obsidian smoke, until nothing remained but ashes upon the floor.

Black witches who trade their soul for greater power fade into smoke when they die. They lose not only their body, but also their soul to the demon they made a pact with.

However, despite the additional power bestowed to the witches by the demons, they are but feeble in comparison to his sword, Xavier, the magnificent sword fated to vanquish the monstrous beast whose ominous destiny is to bring ruin upon the magical realm.

The very sword he wielded was imbued with the darkest of magics, rendering it impervious to the forces of shadow.

Even the mightiest of witches cannot withstand the deadly poison from the tip of this enchanted blade. A mere ordinary sword would be powerless against such a formidable foe, but Xavier can vanquish even the most wicked of witches with ease.

Chaos averted his gaze from the pile of ashes scattered on the ground.

Adrenaline still coursed through his veins, igniting a fiery passion within him to pursue and hunt for the elusive black witches with even greater zeal.

His memory had failed him when it came to the exact number of witches he had slain, but he was quite confident that the tally exceeded a hundred. Yet, the quantity failed to satiate his insatiable desire to hunt more.

With unyielding determination, he shall not cease his pursuit until every last of the black witches has met their demise.

The gentle rustling of footsteps caught his ear.

Guided by pure instinct, he raised his trusty sword in defense. With a powerful swing, he cut through a ball of fire hurtling towards him, threatening to reduce him to mere cinders.

"That's so fast, lover boy." A woman's voice spoke from the shadows. Her voice was soft, but Chaos felt a sudden chill crept through his spine.

His keen and observant eyes snapped upon the shadowed nook of the room, where he sensed the presence of the witch who was veiling herself from his sight.

"Forgive my impertinence, but I simply must inquire, have you missed me Chaos?"

The sound of her high-heeled shoes reverberated through the hushed and confined space.

As his eyes wandered through the darkness, they suddenly came to a halt on her countenance, leaving him momentarily frozen in shock as the moonlight washed over her revealing her face.

Before him stood the witch queen, the very same woman who callously took the life of his dear mother with her wicked poison.

A tumultuous surge of fury overtook him when he witnessed the mocking smile from her lips.

It's been a long time since he last saw her, yet, that face was vividly etched in his memory. Eternity might pass but he will never forget the face of the culprit who took his mother's life.

It took him so long to find her. Now that she's within his reach, he will never let her escape again.

"We met again, Eris." Chen's fists tightened on his side. He gazed deeply into her obsidian orbs, his eyes burning with a fiery intensity that could only be described as the desire for retribution.

"Took you so long to find me." Eris grinned, revealing a perfect set of pearly-white teeth.

She moved across the room, her luscious locks of fiery red cascading in a mesmerizing dance behind her.

With the utmost elegance, she settled herself upon the plush cushion of the chair. As her ebony cloak gracefully parted, a glimpse of her alluring bosom was revealed, delicately adorned by the sheer fabric of her gown.

She gracefully crossed her lithe and supple legs, and then bestowed upon him a bewitching smile that had ensnared the hearts of innumerable men, leading them to their fateful downfall.

Eris was obviously making her bold attempt to seduce him with her charms, but her deceptive ways were proving to be futile to captivate his interest.

She wasn't just his type. He is not into oldies.

"You're not my type, Eris. You're old enough to be my grandmother."

Eris' beautiful smile disappeared. Resentment took over. "I'm not into young men either. If we can't talk things out, then I have no choice but to resort to violence."

In a snap, she's on her feet, a burning fireball twice the size of his fists danced on her palms.

Chaos readied himself for the impending attack With quick, long strides he moved closer while holding Xavier with a firm and tender grip.

"What a waste of a fine man." Eris let out a wistful sigh, her gaze sweeping over him from head to toe. "You could have been my ally and lover, but you chose death over me."

"I'd rather die than be your lover, Eris."
