Chapter 27- First Day at Magic Academy

After their private entrance tests, the man led Kazuki and his team to their rooms and introduced himself as Helgard, Griffin's brother. He is also the headmaster of this academy and he promised that he will keep their identity a secret. After he left, Kazuki opened his room and to his surprise the room was very luxurious. It was like having a noble's entire house as a room. The place was spotless and the golden furniture was sparkling. He lied on the bed and he almost fell asleep. Just as he was about to close his eyes, someone knocked. He opened the door and saw Sakura and Maggie outside.

Sakura rushed in followed by Maggie and slammed the door shut. " What's with our rooms?!" she exclaimed. Even Kazuki can't be comfortable with this living environment. For them, the palace is better because the deign was simple and the place was peaceful but the academy's room was a tawdry show of money.

The door suddenly opened and 3 maids entered the room. " Good morning Mr.Hashima, Ms.Amulet, Ms.Earthwell, we are your assigned maids." the simultaneously said while bowing their heads.

Sakura facepalmed. It was bad enough to have luxurious rooms but maids? They're not her type. She always find maids irritating because you can't move freely when their around. It's good that they are of service but, following you around is too much.

Sakura calmed herself and asked " Why are you serving us and what's with these luxurious rooms?"

" Madam your privilege depends on your results on the entrance exam. Since you will go to S-class, this is your special privilege" the maid replied politely.

Kazuki who noticed Sakura's cramped face tried to change the conversation. " By the way what's your name?" Kazuki asked the maid with short hair.

" I'm Coppelia your assigned maid Mr.Hashima, the one with vermilion hair is Afret. She is assigned to Ms.Amulet, while the one with short purple hair is Mishidia. She will be assigned to Ms. Earthwell." the maid politely replied.

" No need to speak formally" Kazuki replied.

" Agreed" both Sakura and Maggie nodded in agreement.

The next day,

" Kazuki. Wake up" a girl's voice whispered into Kazuki's ear. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Coppelia standing beside his bed. He was reluctant to get up but he can't do anything since it's the first day of class. He got up, change his clothes and ate his breakfast together with her. At first she insisted that she already ate but her stomach rumbled exposing her lie.

She tried to follow Kazuki to class but he asked her to stay and guard the room. She opposed that idea at first but later agreed when he started begging her to stay.

He walked towards the S-class room but encountered 2 bastards hitting on Sakura and Maggie. Judging by their actions, they are both nobles from rich families. Kazuki stepped in their conversation " Oh Sakura, Maggie fancy meeting you here." his words were simple yet both of the girls understood what he meant and hid behind him.

" Hey don't you know who I am? I'm the first son of the Phenel family and my father is an earl" he proudly said.

Suddenly, a man with black tapped his shoulders. " What seems to be the trouble here Mr.Phenel?" he said in a calm tone.

The student's face paled " H...headmaster! Good morning."

It was Helgard. He released a powerful aura that displays his anger. It made both the boys tremble. Kazuki who was watching them stepped forward and explained everything.

" Oh I see, then why not have a duel. If they win, you just let them be but if you win they'll be expelled. The battle will be 2 vs 1." Helgard winked at Kazuki which he immediately understood.

" Fine by me" one of the boy said. He was confident that Kazuki was at a disadvantage in numbers so he accepted the challenge.

" Very well. We will meet in the arena after class. Don't be late." Helgard said as he walked out of the scene.
