The Main Tournament Begins
We three who advanced to the main tournament gathered in a waiting room overlooking the arena. Participants are called one by one from here, but with time before the matches begin, we huddled in the corner to examine the bracket.
The bracket doesn't list names, so it's hard to tell, but that guy's participant number is... There it is. Block A. Oh boy, I'm matched up with him in the semifinals if I make it that far.
"Though the matchups aren't too interesting, this is probably best for the boss's request,"
"That's true, but I was hoping not to face that man in the finals," Kiril said, referring to the cloaked man.
"If getting the Victor's Mark means winning the tournament, then we just need three of us to make the semifinals, right? Our chances will go way up if we can do that!" Kyle said.
