Who are you?

In the office room, an old man was seated comfortably opposite to Principal Ren... with a slight slime on his face, he called himself Enigma. Just like his name, he was a complete mystery to Principal Ren. It had been more than a minute after the old man introduced himself but Principal Ren could not figure out the other party's level of cultivation or basically anything that could lead to understanding who this person was or where he was from.

When he was unable to figure out where this old man had come from, Principal Ren became even more serious as he recalled the first thing Enigma had said to him... Something was going to go very wrong with the student training camp.

"Hello Mr. Enigma. I am Martial General Ren Xiyang, and with my status come some quirks. I have a lot of information about a lot of things that happen around in my country... which includes tackling special people, but consider me surprised and a little rude but I have never heard of a personality such as yourself to be present here. Due to the various positions that I hold, my foremost priority is that anything that could be harmful to my nation be neutralized with extreme prejudice. So, before we discuss anything, I would like to implore Mr. Enigma to be clear if my country needs to be vary of something or someone..."

Meng Tian was very clear about how his senior brother was trying to show his status, authority and power to a certain somebody who had come barging into his office whose power level he had no clue of. The threat was very clear from his words, however Meng Tian could not just reveal himself even if he was with people that cared for him. The best case scenario is that no one finds out about his extraordinary abilities unless it was an absolute life and death situation. Hence, he just smiled a little and took out a small storage ring from his pocket and kept it on the table without saying anything.

Although Principal Ren was going headstrong into the conversation with Enigma, he was almost sure that the other party had no intentions of being enemies with him, at least not right away. So, he was showing some of his authority but when he saw the old man put a hand into his pockets, he immediately got ready to summon weapons from his storage ring and fight it out. Fortunately, Meng Tian did not make any extra movements and just took out a storage ring.

Enigma's relaxed actions led to Principal Ren subconsciously lowering down his guard a little. He carefully observed the ring for some time and probed with his spiritual sense to see what was in there. He saw piles of neatly stacked uniforms, some tokens and books inside but when he observed closely, he was given a brief shock as the items were related to the notorious Green Devil Cult. Principal Ren instantly understood that the enemy was planning something untoward again. Nonetheless, he was not in a hurry to reach any conclusions as he looked at the mysterious old man who called himself Enigma to speak.

The storage ring given to Principal Ren was one of the many that he had acquired from killing his enemies. Using the convenience of the connected consciousness space with all his clones, the main body in the training camp relayed all the items to the first clone back at home. This ring contained all the miscellaneous stuff that he got from the Green Devil Cult members. Their organization had a strict military type administration and hence the corresponding uniforms. Their members had carried the cult related items including but not limited to authority tokens, uniforms, cult battle techniques, and so on.

Now that Meng Tian's clone calling himself Enigma was sitting in front of Principal Ren, he slowly began to reveal what he knew.

"Thank you for exercising self-restraint... I am impressed by your mental faculties that allow you to assess your situation clearly, however you must understand that somethings cannot and should not be trifled with. Anyway, let's get back to business. I am here on the request of a friend who seems to hold you in high moral regard. Although I am not so sure about your character or moral principles, I will relay the information as is... which completes my part and you can deal with the situation as you see fit."

"As I am sure that you can make some guesses already, the Green Devil Cult has some plans to attack a couple of training camps that are currently being held for all the outstanding high school students all over the country. To be precise, twenty of the entire 900 district training camps are going to be attacked within a week. Although the strength of the enemies is insignificant compared to someone like yourself, it would be more than enough to crush the cultivators that are present at these camps."

Principal Ren had no idea how true this information was but looking at the old man's eyes in front of him, he was reluctant to entertain the idea that the other party would be lying. He had enough experience at least to see that much.

"Mr. Enigma, please be advised that such things can't be just said randomly. The security provided to the students is very clear for everyone to see and the locations of these camps are not public knowledge. So, it is impossible for anyone to even think of targeting them. However, I believe that a personality such as yourself should have no intentions to try and deceive anyone. But you need to have a definitive proof that such an attack is going to happen. And although this ring contains many items related to the Green Devil Cult, it is not enough proof for the statements you just made."

Meng Tian was quite clear that Principal Ren was fishing for information on 'the friend' that he just mentioned, but he had no intention to make things more complicated. He just looked at Principal Ren and continued...

"Principal Ren, I have no intention to prove anything but fortunately for you, someone saw a batch of these cult members camping at a far away location from one of the training camps... and decided to eradicate the threat once and for all... the result of that is the contents inside the storage ring in your hands. But the remaining nineteen camps are still in danger and it is in your best interests that you do something about it. Alright, bonus information... you can find the destroyed enemy camp south-west of the training area where your own school students are currently present... with your speed you can probably find the location within an hour, you can collect your clues there although it is questionable from the destruction that guy usually causes."

"Now that I have relayed all that... it is time to take my leave. Goodbye Principal Ren."

Meng Tian disguised as an old man was about to get up from his seat and leave when Principal Ren suddenly created a water sword pointing towards the old man's neck. Meng Tian who had just stood up looked at Principal Ren and just with the tap of a finger the water elemental sword was completely disintegrated... although this was not the main body, his level of control on the qi produced by the runes on his chest was at a much higher level than most of the people in this world. The runes were basically ancient... so it was understandable.

Principal Ren wanted to try and extract more information from this mysterious old man but never expected his attack to be neutralized with just the tap of a finger. He understood that the man in front of him is not someone he could defeat, at least without putting a lot of effort. He was unsure about the cultivation level of the old man and couldn't make further judgements.

"I am not the enemy you should be worried about, Principal Ren. It's best that you keep your antiques to yourself. However, I have no enmity towards you... and considering my friend that has a high opinion of you, I won't pursue your actions any further. Clock is ticking and you better use the time or the precious students who are supposed to be the future pioneers will fall..."

Just as he finished the last sentence, the entire body of the old man vanished like a cloud of smoke. Only then did Principal Ren understand that the mysterious man named Enigma had left gone right in front of his eyes and he couldn't even see it.

Meng Tian's purpose for having made-up such a personality for his clone was to preserve the mysteriousness and make sure that nothing about his behaviour could lead back to him in any way. Although his behaviour was rude to his senior brother, it was all but an act and his conscience was clear about that.

Principal Ren stood in his place for some time and finally let out a sigh, "Who are you?..."
