The Offer

“So, what’s your plan moving forward? Are you going to stay here or not?” Clay asked me as he handed me a cup of hot coffee. I took it and sipped it while it was still hot. After taking a sip, I responded to his question.

“Well, I’m going to find my dad starting with going back to our mansion. It was the place where we left my dad and after finding out that I have an elder sister who turned into a monster,” I responded, feeling sad about what happened to my elder sister. It’s such a shame that she became a monster especially when we never experienced hanging out together as normal sisters would do.

“You live in a mansion?! You’re a rich kid?” Clay said, surprised. I could almost imagine his eyes glimmering in joy — literally. I chuckled at his response and nodded.
