Chapter 36: Misunderstanding
In a largely furnished chamber was a tall rack of books that ran from the top to the bottom. A daunting chandelier hung up on the ceiling with candles. There was a fireplace at the back side of the room, cackling loudly as the man added more wood to the fire.
Sebastian sat on the chair. The mahogany table overlooking the window in front of him, on it were several parchment papers stacked. He was too busy to glance at all of them.
And on the same table was a cup of green tea- his favorite, oozing out smoke as it had just been spewed out of the kettle.
His hands flipped through the pages of the book and his eyes scanned through them frantically.
"Your tea is getting cold, my lord" Derek spoke up, his feet padding across the marble tiles to settle by Sebastian's side.
Without letting go of the book he was reading, his hands grabbed the cup of tea. He brought it closer to his lips and gently blew air on it. He drank it afterward.
"My lord?" Derek started.
