After resting my head for a few hours I began to hear screams coming from the hallway. The atmosphere in the dorm turned tense as I walked towards the door to peer into the hallway. I noticed a few Law Enforcement Officers dressed in white suits advancing, systematically visiting each dorm room. They managed to force their way past the Residence Hall Receptionist and security guards who tried to escort them off the premises but failed to remove them.
These men and women in white suits seemed to have an eerily glow to them in the dimly lit corridor, their movements methodical and precise. They were silent except for the soft rustle of their protective clothing. As they drew closer, my heart began pounding in my chest, the adrenaline erasing any traces of sleep. Their arrival marked the harsh reality of the chemical exposure we were trying to ignore earlier. Every knock sent a wave of dread down the hallway, as one by one, each dorm room was visited, and those exposed to the chemicals were escorted away forcefully.
The scene was uncannily surreal, eerily punctuated by the hushed whispers and stifled sobs that echoed through the tense silence. My eyelids were heavy, but sleep remained a distant memory amidst the whirlwind of fear and uncertainty that the men and women in white brought with them. They approached each dorm room with a small list in their hand. One of the men approached my dorm room with some questions.
"Excuse me, we have reason to believe that you and your fellow classmates might have been exposed to a dangerous chemical. We need to take all of you in for immediate medical treatment," he explained as he and his fellow Law Enforcement Officers forced their way into each of the dorm rooms.
That's when they grabbed me by the hand and escorted me out along with my fellow classmates into the hallway. Before I even had a chance to react, multiple government agents burst through the back door, their stern faces filled with sharp contrast to the calculated calmness that had preceded their arrival. With authoritative voices and swift movements, they began separating individuals from each dorm room, citing the need for immediate medical attention. The forcefulness of their approach with the supposed benevolence of their mission.
As they escorted several individuals towards the medical vehicles, the tension in the room was palpable, casting a somber shadow over the events unfolding. Despite the mismatch between their words and actions, there was an undeniable sense of urgency in the air– a feeling that something much bigger was at stake. As we watched them lead a few classrooms worth of students into the medical vehicles, we could only hope for the best from this strange and sudden intervention.
"Calm down, Henry, I'm on your side. We received word about this small incident involving vials from one of our abandoned facilities and rushed here to assist the local law enforcement. I need you and your classmates to follow us outside. We have some medical vehicles stationed just outside the building. We need to hurry up by the way you can call me Aiden and I'm also from the Eliwood House just like the three of you," explained Aiden of the Eliwood House as he led the three of us outside to the vehicle which was labeled G.B.I. on the side, and we knew right away that we were in serious trouble.
They must have been alerted by the university after they discovered the broken vials in the science lab. If that wasn't bad enough the government agents have refused to answer any questions remaining tight-lipped not offering any more information other than they have come to run tests on us. As the crowd in the distance slowly dispersed, each person returned to their own dorm room with an unease that lingered in the air like a dark cloud.
It was clear that something strange and sinister had occurred that day, something we would never have expected. Whatever the truth of the matter was, it seemed unlikely that any of us would ever see the light of day after this incident that occurred. For now, all we could do was hope for brighter days in the near future.
Only time will tell exactly what will happen to us until then, all we can do is remain vigilant and be prepared for whatever comes our way. In these uncertain times, only one thing is certain: we must stay alert and continue to stick together. It is only our collective effort that a brighter tomorrow can be achieved.
"Alright everyone, we have successfully gathered all three classrooms into the back of the medical vehicles and now it's time to commence the second phase of our plan. Project code named Alpha Children derived from the formula labeled Alphus and children because of their age now let's get on the way and returning to our new Headquarters in the CampBell District for further testing before sending them off to a separate Detention Center until we can properly determine its effect on each of the students in question and work towards reversing any unwanted powers received from the formula," said Oceane of the Ramirez House as she whispered to the men driving the vehicle.
"Commander you now as well as I do that it would be impossible for us to remove their powers. Even knowing this you would still give them false hope? After we have processed them they will have to remain in our custody indefinitely," whispered another one of the Law Enforcement Officers before closing the doors to the armored vehicles.
Shortly after that they gassed us with some sort of sleeping gas through the vent, and then they turned on some strange neon lights in the back that were clearly not intended for decoration.
