Thorns of Promise

Alleyson opens her eyes and looks around.

A room she's never been here before.

Anxious she looks for her hairpin.

Alleyson: No, no ,don't be lost !! How many days has it been?!

Kareem: You've been here for two days.

Alleyson: ( gets startled and falls off the bed) *stops *

Drew ...he...he's -

Kerem :Shh! Shh! ( walks to her and carries her to bed) You need to know what you will become, but I worry if you can't handle the truth.

Alleyson: You are scaring me.

Kerem: What we are is scary ,I happen to go through it ,as the first born.You will be the last one but we will tell you now.

Drew enters the room

Drew : Amy what we are is something we can't run away from. We are hunters out for a sort of blood.

Alleyson: Wait we are hunters ? For a certain blood type ?

Kerem: Yes and we are lucky that this certain blood is being mass produced.

Alleyson : Why does this hunter have to be careful?

Kerem: If we get caught we get hunted down.

Alleyson: So then which one of you attacked Alois?

Drew : Wait you liked the kid ?! If you do ...you could like him your food bank.Well for now I leave you .

Drew leaves the room and closes the door.

Alleyson: I don't want to be this hunter ,you can't make me ...

Kerem : You've been living this whole time through the sacrifices ,not in vain by our parents.

Alleyson: Let me have my hairpin ,please !!

Kerem : Fine you can have it ( gives hairpin in her hands) .

Alleyson : Why wouldn't our parents tell us this ?!

Kerem : They would if you came to them but by then youd probably already killed someone. Drew just did ,it wasn't Alois though ...it was another person.

Alleyson: You can go now I need to process this.( looks at her hairpin) I'm going to be a monster ...

With Orion and Celestina

Celestina: What's wrong Orion ?

Orion : The promise is broken and I'm going to be punished for it . ( spits out blood) Ah man did she die ?! I was supposed to be there with her.( falls to his knees).

Celestina: Because you were promised to her ? but she didn't go for the promise.

Thorns suddenly stab Orion from his heart going to his arms .

Orion : Damn it, Wilbert you were suppose to go first ,so I could keep my end of my promise. Celes stay back !!

Celestina : Wouldn't your blood call for the hunters ?! I can't let you be taken from me.

Orion : Don't do anything -

Heiji : I heard a scream ,dad?!

Orion : Don't try anything this is only because the girls mother has passed away , before her time ...I broke the end of my promise....

Heiji : What girl!?

Orion : Kaine... her mother ...Annie ...( spits out blood and faints )

Heiji : Dad ?!?* walks to him and looks at his mother* There's so many questions I want to ask ,need to ask .

Celestina: I don't know what to do....He's never been like this...

Heiji :I need to go to her house,see if she's really dead .

Both Heiji and Kaine bump into each other. Heiji quickly reaches for Kaine's hand before she hits the ground.

Kaine : (Stares at Heiji) Heiji I'm sorry ...

Heiji : No need to apologize, I was going to go to your house and see-

Maralis:No need to kiddo , yes I look like her mother ,I'm her twin sister she forgot.

Heiji : Sounds like our parents kept things away from us.

Maralis: Let her go now , if you don't let her go the pain will remain.You have time , Wilbert didn't ...

Orion : How was he not there with her in her final moments?!

Maralis: Do I even have a saying ?

Kaine : My mother was killed we couldn't save her, that's why this promise was for nothing,let her go Orion.

Heiji : Dont let yourself be hurt by her ,what did you promise her?! Why can't you let her go?

Orion: You won't understand...but I wished it'd kept the promise.( closes his eyes).

Orion in his sleep

They are not wrong you know ~

Turns around to face Orion.

I know you are a man who keeps his promises, why my choice was tough for you.

Orion : You were promised to me ,and yet you chose Jensen but then he died and you chose Wilbert.

Annie: It was his blood that made me chose him ...

Orion : I knew it, when they told me you ...cut your wrist , I knew he'd be there. I'm always late .

Orion talks in his sleep

I promised I'd be your final love ....( tears going down eyes).

Celestina: Wait what is happening to him ?

Back to Orion's dream

*Annie standing next to Orion , Orion looks around sees they are in her room.

Annie : You don't have to complete it anymore,Orion...

Orion* : *You don't understand ...I am madly insanely in love with you.

Annie : Even when I chose Jensen!?

Orion : Even when you chose him ( reaches her chin and lifts her face to face his). Annie you promised me you'd wait for me . ( sniffles)

Annie: That day you were jealous of Wilbert did you mean it ?

Orion : I told you that my words are final .

Annie : Please just let me go ,Orion you already have someone who loves you deeply. Someone who gave you a family. Who I considered when she asked me to not choose you.

Orion : Wait, she did what? ( squeezes her cheeks)

No she wouldn't dare to...

Annie : Your hurting me . ( tries to escape)

Orion : If only you stayed inside the house and not save him. We have the same blood , me and Wilbert . Celestina who knows if they even have your blood or mine.

Annie : Please just ...Orion ...you have Celestina.

Orion : She told you to not choose me!?! ,did I even have. a chance? Answer me!!

Annie : ( coughing )

Orion : (let's go of Annie and hugs her close ) I'm so sorry when I saw you I just snapped.

Annie: Don't make me say those words ,Orion please for me ,set me free.

Orion: What about the promise ? You expect me to just live with the pain? I broke the promise.

Annie : It was a fools promise , you can't be my last love . I love -

Orion : ( pins Annie down the floor) DONT YOU DARE SAY HIS NAME !! ( looks at Annie )

Annie : ( looks up at Orion's face ) I know the truth hurts ...but you must live on for your family. Celestina is a very loyal woman . ( tears fall on her face* )

Orion : Damn it all!! Annie I love you...(sniffs and cleans his nose) Don't say you didn't love me, or that you couldn't... when I have loved you for so long.

Annie: I feel sorry for you, you can't let me go.

Orion : No !! I feel sorry for you , you couldn't see what i have done for you all this time . I let you go and you chose Jensen he died on you and you go for Wilbert ?!I let you marry them. Have their children and you just won't accept me?

Annie: ( Eyes watter)

Orion : You are a cruel woman, the fact that anyone had ever love you is a fool. Always getting the kiss of death.( forcefully kisses Annie)

Kill me if you must , I'd gladly die with you.

Annie: ( gasps and kisses back but stops herself)

Orion : ( lays his head on her chest )Why couldn't it be me?!

Annie: ( caresses his hair) You would of been miserable right now, don't apologize for that kiss...I know now what I missed in this life.

Life with you ,I wonder what would have happened.To think you'd love me ,all this time.

Orion: It's not just because you were promised to me, when we first met...it was love at first sight. I garentee my son likes your daughter.

Annie: It's her choice for sure...take care Orion...

Orion: I told you what I felt , goodbye Annie.

Annie: ( kisses his cheek ) You were my first crush too...

Orion wakes up

Orion wakes up to see Celestina holding his hand.

Orion looks at Celestina asleep.

Orion : ( sniff) You were right Annie , she'd stay with me no matter what. Why did she love me ,I don't know...but my new promise to you is to love Celestina.
