The Scars on You

   I never wanted to be involved in another person's life. I've had such a bad experience with my mother. Who wanted to protect me but risked everything to save me instead. My mother's name was Emélie von Heron. I was very young when I lost her. I was six when my parents were fighting, and I stood up against my father . Shielding her from being stomped on one day.

Kaveh: STOOP THIS, SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING !!

Alvero: Didn't do anything ?! Look at her and her clothes !! Did you see her enter the house late ?

Emélie : I was cleaning up...and you -

Alvero : Talking back at me !!? You got some nerve.

Emélie : You shouldn't kick me nor Kaveh...I am... having your child ... I'm -

Alvero: GO TO THE ROOM !!

Emélie : Don't hurt our son, that's all I -

Alvero : I WON'T REPEAT MYSELF WOMAN, NOW!!

*I hate myself so much,I look like my father, and he hurt her that time silently in the room, because I went close to the locked door but couldn't hear anything. All I could do was silently cry. My theory was he covered her mouth.

By morning, she was covered in bruises they couldn't be hidden ,they were in her face and arms.

Emélie* : Listen too me Kaveh...you don't talk back to him ever. I want this baby, maybe it could change him...

Kaveh: Change is what you want from him?

Emélie caresses Kaveh cheek.

Kaveh: I don't want him to hurt you anymore, your scars not to mention your bruises.

FEW MONTHS LATER

She had so much hope this baby would change my father. But it only made him more jealous. Jealous that I was defending her. Her pale skin, her red hair and bruises. I failed her every time he came back.

I wanted her to stop wanting him, and pay attention to me. So I told my father to stop hurting her, and he snapped and threw me out of the house.

The following morning

I was too late , I ran to that room to find her in the pool of her own blood. He cut her open to get the child. She reached out to me ...

Emélie :See...he…got...the ...baby...my...son...don't blame yourself...this was...my...fault. I'm sorry...

Kaveh walks up to her, stepping on her blood.

Kaveh: This ...is... cruel...(sniff) why ...did…you -

Emélie pulls Kaveh closer to her and says : It was a girl. Stay here until I go on ... I just don't want to be alone on my final moments. (cries out)

I stayed by her side until the end, embracing her. I wished I was stronger. Like I do right now, see Kaede in my arms lifeless . I never wanted to get involved for, so I said, until now .

Kaede coughs out blood and looks at Kaveh.

Kaede : I saw it, your painful past, your childhood.

Hugs him tightly and cries out.

Kaede: Losing your mother so violently.

Kaveh: Don't be so nice to me and -

Kaede kisses Kaveh on the lips.

With Kaine and Heiji at the meeting room

Kaine : Thank you for having my back there.

Heiji: You know, you don't look at me when you say "thank you". Why do you avoid me!?

Kaine : I -I just don't want to see the scar...

Heiji: What, you thought she would heal me ?

Kaine :( looks at Heiji) Well, she does look like me.

Heiji: Don't assume, things I mean, I told you that I love you. Why I became your guard .I promised -

Kaine: No, you promised Kaede on my name.

Heiji : I can do it again, for you!

Kaine walks away

Heiji looks at Kaine walk away, runs after her and stops to hug her from behind.

Kaine: No, let me go!!

Heiji: Now you are being unfair too me . Don't you know how worried I was? That day we got separated !?

Kaine: Don't forget, I am commander here-

Heiji quickly smooches Kaine.

Kaine: You...you ... can't just do this too me!!

Heiji: Hit me then, or slap me if you think it's too soon to heal me. Your heart beat is very loud.

Kaine: (Blushing ) Don't think you're the only one who worries. Seeing you was a relief and when I see the scars on you I, I couldn't help but feel guilty.

Heiji: Then accept my confession of love for you.(kisses her neck)

Kaine:That tickles me (steps back)

Heiji:Is that a "No?" or what do I -

Kaine interrupts and kisses Heiji.

Kaine: If we are together, I want no secrets, (cries) I have to show you mine.

Heiji kisses her and pulls her close .

Kaine kisses back and both stop.

Heiji leaves his mouth open and tells Kaine.

Heiji: Just heal me ...that's all I want.

Kaine: Don't get mad at me.

Heiji: I have nothing to hide.

Kaine keeps kissing Heiji, and he makes her sit on his lap.

Both stop and she stares at his lips.

Heiji: Do you want to keep going?

Kaine: How do ...do you get the courage to do this ?

Heiji: You could say I've been patient to wait. That kiss he gave you, I'm not mad, but I'm disappointed I wasn't your first kiss.

Kaine: You look like you're mad ...Heiji...your scar is at least gone.

Heiji:( closes his eyes and kisses her palm)I won't deny it...I am ...It only makes me want you even more.

Pins her down on the bed.

Heiji: It's not fair Kaine you gave him a kiss, but what would you give me ?

Kaine: Don't even start, Heiji...I wiped off the kiss, it doesn't count -

Heiji : ( traces her lips and kisses her)Don't be afraid, Kaine ...I just want to be one with you.

Kaine: How about I give you a feel . Will that do for now ?

Vira: That would be great...( stabs Heiji from the back with her dagger)Heiji then falls back only to be impaled more.

Kaine : Heiji...this can't be happening...( looks at him being on the floor)

Heiji : ( spits out blood from his mouth) Kai..ne...

Vira : ( laughs ) How unfair of you Heiji, I wanted a kiss from you then. Now look at you...

Heiji: I've failed ....you....

Kaine : Stop talking, your losing blood !!

Vira : You little wench, you stole the kiss from my Drew...and you said you wiped it off?

Kaine: I don't love him ...

Vira: Well you know I can heal him, let's be even you kissed my Drew ,I kiss Heiji .

Kaine : I'm already his first kiss, so it won't-

Vira takes another dagger out.

Vira : YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I HATE YOU !!

Kaine: Please just let me heal him. You can do what you want with me.

Vira: No, please just die Heiji !! (Laughs )

Kaine walks up to him only to be stabbed also.

Heiji's eyes widen on impact of her being stabbed, his eyes water.

Heiji in his mind : No one will ...help us... she's she's cold....no....

Vira: Being hopeless is great to see, Kaine's no fun, she went and died already. You Heiji please die…

Heiji: I've failed....her...(faints )

A guard passed by in the morning and finds them .
