Chapter three

"Dragon hunters? Dragon hunters? Why would people hunt dragons? Haven't they suffered enough?" Starblaze asked looking at the dictionary like book sitting in front of her

"uh the question we should be asking is where the thumping was coming from" Karla said looking into the box again but there was nothing inside, Starblaze rolled her eyes and picked up the book and left the attic with the book in her hand.

The girls had been so focused on the book they didn't hear their mothers call for dinner, as soon as they got to their room door they met their mother there. "Where were you two" Starblaze hid the book at her back making sure her mother didn't see it.

"Uh we were in the attic… looking for my remaining coloured pencils" said Starblaze, trying her best to look calm, as calm as Karla could get, she could literally hear her heavy breathing.

"Oh don't worry I got you a new one now come down dinner is getting cold" their mom said before living. Starblaze and Karla rushed inside and closed the door.

"Why didn't you tell mom about it" Karla asked while Starblaze breathed out in relief she put the book under her pillow then left for dinner with Karla.

The dinner table was unusually quiet and that didn't go past both parents, Karla was as oblivious to the air around them but Starblaze definitely felt it, which led her to think more and more about the dragon hunters.

"Mom, dada can I ask you guys something" Starblaze spoke slicing through the thick air

"Wow I can breathe again" Karla said, Starblaze rolled her eyes and looked to her parents who nodded

"Do you guys know anything about dragon hunters" both parents froze confirming her suspicions, her parents knew something.

"Uh we've heard something, why?" Starblaze shook her head and started to down her food, now she really wanted to find out what was in the book and why it was in her house and her attic.

After dinner both girls went to their room to finish homework which Karla was half sleeping as always meanwhile Starblaze was already done and was about to start on her new found book she took in a deep breath before opening the very dusty book, she started at the first chapter which basically told her stuff about dragons, most of which she already knew. She stayed up really late reading, she was now going into chapter 4 the name of this one was called the hunting party, she started the chapter planning to go to bed after this one. This chapter spoke more on elves and humans, wizards who were close to the dragons, why the dragons were hunted and who hunted them, Starblaze was really tired and seemed to be getting nowhere she was about to close the book but then she came across something, a word, a name her last name Cernunnos
