Wendy and Jacob

I drove to the location Madison gave me, which led us to a very quiet suburban neighbourhood, we pulled up infront of a decent two story house. Which currently rock music was blaring through the windows.

Well then.

I parked the car and turned to Mads "You sure this is the right house?"

She rolled her eyes "Just because that one time it ended up not being recruits and we had to fight off a bunch of dudes does not mean that everytime I get a call I will believe it."

"Yeah whatever you say Mads."

"Whatever." She muttered.

I stepped out of the car, Madison following close behind. I rang the doorbell twice and waited. Two minutes passed and no one answered. I looked at Mads and she shrugged giving me a 'I don't know' expression. I sighed then rang the doorbell again, I heard a faint 'I'm coming'. A second later the door opened.

"Thank god are you Maria and Madison?" The woman sighed and gave us a smile.

"Uh, yes you called earlier about your children, we're here to have a little chat with them." Mads looked to me and then looked back at the woman now leaning on the door.

"Oh yes no problem. I'm Juliette by the way and I was just trying to thaw out one of my cushions Wendy froze why it took so long for me to get the door." She gestured for us to come inside and shut the door behind us.

"Maybe you couldn't hear because of the music blasting upstairs." I muttered to myself but Madison gave me a look which meant she heard me.

We came to stand in the living room looking around. A few family photos sitting on the walls. The place was kind of a mess magazines and books were on the ground and not on their shelves, a plant had broken and the dirt was all over the floor.

"Wendy, Jacob we have guests." Their mother called out from the bottom of the stairs, she then turned to us "I'll be thawing out my cushions, they'll be down soon make yourselves comfortable." She smiled again and walked off into the kitchen.

The music was really getting on my nerves so I flicked my finger and ta da it was off. I heard a 'Hey what's going on' from upstairs.

"Really." Mads chuckled beside me.

A red haired girl around the age of ten and a brown haired boy who looked thirteen came down the stairs and stopped infront of us.

"Who are you two?" Jacob asked with annoyance.

"First of all pipe down with the attitude buddy and relax. We're just here to have a lil' chat with you two." I said.

"We don't want to talk to you though." Jake replied with the same attitude.

My eyebrows rose up, Madison saw my expression so she took over.

"Well first off I'm Madison and this is Maria, your mom told us about your... powers."

"And how do we know your not some evil scientists who wanna experiment on us?" Wendy narrowed her eyes.

"Well first of all we've been doing this for over a year, and even if you don't believe that then I guess you don't really know. You'll just have to trust us and I'm sure your mom wouldn't put you two in any danger." Mads replied.

Wendy squinted her eyes looking back and forth between me and Mads then she skipped over to me "I kind of froze this girl who's always picking on me at school and I got into alot of trouble for it especially since I couldn't unfreeze her. My mama says you can help me control it better especially when I get upset it kind of just happens. So can you?" She stared up at me.

"First of all, give me a high five for freezing that bitc-" Mads widened her eyes at me. "-hacho." I cleared my throat.

"And of course I can, just think of this as a summer programme but a fun one." I smiled at her she giggled and nodded

"I still don't trust you two." Jacob stood in the same spot with his arms crossed.

I rolled my eyes, looks like I'm gonna have to put on a show. I raised my hands and pointed at the tables and chairs in the front room, a red light shone from my hand then the magic happened. The stuff started floating and dancing around the room.

"What the-" he gasped "That's so cool."

"Woah." Wendy looked around.

I never really understood how I had a mixture of powers. I was able to control magnetic forces and anything that was metal then after an incident I found out I had magic, chaos magic. It's really hard to handle but I've gotten the hang of it so far, over the years I developed flight too. That wasn't easy either but thanks to Madison I learnt to not drop on my ass everytime I landed.

"We both have powers, Madison is a telekinesis and I have a mixture of powers." I said to the two of them. I used my magic and fixed the pot back together and put the dirt back inside and then rested it back onto the table. I picked up the magazines and books, slid them back into their shelves. I then nodded my head to the kitchen and spoons and forks started floating out the kitchen.

Their mom ran out, when she saw it was just us she laughed "I have to admit that is very cool."

"Mom look at what she's doing." Jacob ran over to his mom.

"She's cleaned the place better than you two." She replied, raising her brows at the two of them.

With a flick of my wrist the utensils trudged back into the kitchen. Showtime over.

"I can generate and control magnetic fields." I said, when they looked at me as if I spoke another language, their mom chuckled.

"I can control anything metal, just like those spoons and forks." I said slowly and they both looked at me with an 'ohh' expression "Among flying, and a little magic." I winked.

They looked at me with shock.

"That. Is. So. Awesome." Jacob said with aw. Well I guess he's not so grumpy anymore.

"And Mads here is pretty awesome too infact she taught me how to fly."

I smiled as their faces glowed with excitement and Mads nudged me with her elbow smiling.

"If you guys do decide eventually on coming with us we'll be able to help you to better your abilities and we won't keep you there forever. It's not a prison we just want to help make sure your can protect yourselves and anyone around you and if you don't feel comfortable you don't have to stay." Mads said.

They nodded and looked up at their mom.

"Well whenever you guys feel ready, I'll let you go." She said to them.

They looked back at Madison and me and smiled and we returned it.

"Well we'll be on our way now, it was nice meeting you Mrs. Parker." Madison spoke with her mind.

"How did you- oh telepath." She chuckled.

It was around one when we arrived back at the house. As I parked the car, I saw the garage door already open. We stepped out the car locking it as we walked over. As I turned on the light since inside was still dark the culprits froze. Liam, Ashley and Calum all dressed up.

"Well well what are you guys up to?" I raised my eyebrow.

Each of them looked at the next one to say something.

"Um we were juss gonna test out the car to see if it worked. Looks a lil rusty ya know." Calum said patting my brother's black Suzuki jeep.

"Dummy, Mads can read your mind." Ashley scolded him.

The car they were planning on 'testing' was Caleb' child. He loved that car so much I feared he loved it more than me at times and he also wouldn't even let me drive it. But being the sister I am I smiled at them and said "Take it." then walked off.

Mads stopped me and looked at me confused.

"You do know what will happen if he finds out that car's gone right?" She said slowly as if I wasn't in my right mind.

"Yup but he won't and if he does then oops." I gave her an inoccent smile. She shook her head and chuckled.

I heard them all questioning if I really meant what I said. I used my powers and turned the engine on.

"Now go before I change my mind and be safe." I said to them.

They didn't need to be told again as they jumped in and drove off in a second. I chuckled to myself.

These kids will be the death of me someday.
