Chapter 93: Trihexa

"I'm full!!"

Gon happily shouted while looking at the pile of empty plates in front of them, all of which was cooked by Lucias who had excess ingredients from the cooking test that they had a while ago for the second phase of the exam.

"Are you planning on becoming a Gourmet Hunter, Lucias?"

Kurapika asked with a curious expression on his face, causing Lucias to smile before shaking his head to the side.

"Cooking is just a hobby of mine, I don't plan on becoming a Gourmet Hunter"

He said as they watched everyone start to enter the giant aircraft om the ground to get ready for the next phase of the exam.

"Oh yeah, I haven't asked you yet, but why do you want to become a hunter, Lucias?"

Gon asked as they all got up from their seat, before walking towards the aircraft.

"Hmm... I'm searching for something but... it looks like I've already found it"

Lucias said with a mysterious smile on his face causing Gon to look at him with a curious expression on his face.

"You found it already? What were you searching for in the first place, Lucias?"

Gon asked as all of the hunters stepped inside the aircraft before it flew to the sky.

"... I'll tell you 4 once we arrive at your rooms"

He said as they ignored the explanation of the old man at the front of the crowd.

"Is it something private?"

"Yes, its not something that people I don't trust should know... but I guess I could trust you guys, except for Leorio... especially the stunt that he pulled last time"

"H-Huh!?"

Leorio muttered in shock as the scene of Leorio's lost suddenly replayed in their minds, causing Kurapika and Gon to chuckle while Erza and Mordred just glared at his direction.

"Here we are..."

Lucias said as they all entered a spacious room containing a few supplies and a blanket at the corner of the room.

"Mordred"

Lucias called causing Mordred to sigh in annoyance before leaving the room to avoid anyone from eavesdropping their conversation.

"Now then... Gon, let's talk"

Lucias said as he adopted a serious expression on his face unlike the usual friendly smile that he had when he conversed with them.

"Me?"

Gon asked while pointing at himself as all of them sat down at one side of the room while Lucias sat down opposite their direction together with Erza.

"If I said that the thing that I am searching for is in your possession... what would you do?"

Lucias suddenly asked, causing both Kurapika and Killua to glance at him with a serioues expression on their faces.

"Are you talking about my fishing rod?"

He asked as he immediately gave the fishing rod in his hand to Lucias without hesitation.

"No... not that... It's not really a physical possession but... more of an item that is directly attached to your soul"

Lucias said as he shook his head to the sides, causing Killua to frown from his words.

"In my soul?"

"Yes, it's something that originally shouldn't belong in this world. Of course, I have a way to extract it without damaging your soul, but I still want to ask for your opinion since this might severely affect your strength"

Lucias said as he looked at him deeply in his eyes.

"Your strength and power is the product of that item in your soul... Gon, it's something that I really need to protect my home... That's why I need to have it all cost. Of course, I'll provide you with appropriate compensation-"

He tried to explain but was stopped by Gon who had a large smile on his face.

"You're not making any sense, Lucias"

Leorio said while scratching his head in confusion.

"No need for compensation, Lucias. You can retrive it if you wish, we're friends so we're supposed to help each other, isn't that right Killua?"

Gon asked as he turned his head towards Killua who was glaring at Lucias' direction.

"How can you guarantee that Gon won't be in danger?"

"... Then, [Contract]"

He muttered causing chains to appear on his neck as a large piece of papyrus suddenly appeared in front of them.

"I, Lucias Frey, swear on my life that I will not bring any harm to Gon's physical and spiritual body during the extraction of the room"

He said causing a choker to lock on his neck as the chains suddenly engulfed Gon's hand, causing Kurapika to frown from his action.

"This is my skill. If I ever break any of the conditions of the contract, this collar with kill me regardless if I'm immortal or not. Is this enough for you to believe me, Killua?"

Lucias said causing Erza to look at him with a weird expression on her face as she couldn't understand why he would do this when he could've just showed him his true capabilities.

The only reason why Lucias did something like this is because he knew himself that they aren't the type of people to back down just because they're facing someone stronger than them based on what he observed for the time they were together.

Obtaining a rune of Virtue forcefully from their host is unlike taking a rune of Sin, since once they are forcefully taken. The rune would automatically corrupt and destroy itself if it's taken by force so he had to negotiate with them to obtain the rune inside Gon's body.

"Is it necessary to do that, Lucias?"

"Yes, if it's what it take for you to believe me"

He said with a friendly smile on his face before glancing at Gon.

"Lucias, you didn't have to do this. I'll give it you regardless if I get hurt or not. Even though it doesn't look like it my body is strong enough to handle a bit of pain"

He said with an anxious expression on his face while glancing at the collar on his neck.

"Don't worry, it will dissapear once the contract is accomplished..."

He said as Gon suddenly grabbed his hand with a serious expression on his face.

"Do it"

"Gon!"

Killua shouted in protest as Lucias smiled while looking at Gon, before his hand suddenly entered his chest.

"Oy!! What are you doing!?"

Killua shouted as Erza suddenly blocked his path with a frown on her face.

"If you stop him, they'll both die"

She said causing Killua to grit his teeth in anger before glaring at their direction.

"Hmm... It feels a bit weird"

He said as Lucias spread his mana inside his body to not only improve his physique, but also control the excruciating pain that the extraction might cause.

"[You won't feel a thing from this, Gon]"

He said while amplifying his voice with [Reality Manipulation] causing all of the pain receptors in his body to shut down temporarily as Lucias suddenly grabbed the rune directly from his soul. Creating a powerful stealth barrier around them to avoid alerting the other people inside the aircraft.

"Got it"

Lucias said with a light smile on his face as he retracted his hand, causing an incredible amount of pressure to press against their bodies due to the extreme aura that the glowing rune in his hand contained.

"W-What is-"

Leorio tried to ask as the pressure suffocated him while Kurapika and Killua kneeled on the ground due to the tremendous pressure on their bodies.

"Thank you, Gon"

He said as the rune entered his body, further improving his resistance to the 5 runes of sins on his body, causing his strength and status to significantly improve like before.

Gon said with a large smile on his face, causing a kind smile to appear on Lucias' face as he placed his hand on top of Gon's head.

"I'll repay you for this generosity, Gon. So tell me what you want, and I'll grant it for you"

"There's no need for that!"

Gon said as he raised both of his hand on front of him between him and Lucias.

"No, I insist. I'm doing this for myself, Gon so please don't refuse"

He said before glancing at all of the people inside this room with a light smile on his face.

"I'll help you guys out in your goals... Gon, you want to become a hunter to understand the reason why your father left you. I'll give you something that might help you along the way"

He said before taking a necklace with a green gem in the middle with the image of an angel carved on the surface of the gem.

"This is something that I made, the [Angel's Blessing], its a special type of gear that will grow as you grow stronger. It has the ability to regenerate you from any injuries and protect you from lethal attacks that may pose danger to your life"

He said while placing the necklace on Gon's hand, causing a warm and comfortable mana to engulf his entire body.

"I can't accept something this valuable!"

"Take it. I took something more valuable from you, Gon"

He said before glancing at Kurapika with light smile on his face as he took out blood red chains from his inventory.

"This is the [Executioner's Chains], it will seal any power that your opponent has, even though its a weaker version of the one that one of my subordinates have, it is enough since this chains focuses more on surpressing mortal beings. It can change into any form as you wish as long as you inject enough... energy in it"

He said as he threw the chains towards Kurapika who caught it with his barehands, staring at it with a complicated expression on his face.

"For Leorio... Well, maybe this should be enough"

He said as he threw a dimensional ring towards him, causing Leorio to hurriedly catch the ring with his hand.

"This ring is a spatial storage that has a total space of 300 cubic meters inside. You can store any non-living things inside it, and... there is a few billion jenny inside so have fun with it"

Lucias said as Leorio looked at it in shock due to the astronomical amount of money that Lucias said was inside the spatial ring.

"For Killua... Maybe this would be good"

He said as he took out 4 mythril bracelets from his inventory before giving it Killua, causing him to take it with a hint of suspicion in his expression.

"This is a bracelet that would allow you to locate and teleport to anyone that wears another one of it. Even though it's not much of a use for you now, it might save your skin in the future if something ever happens"

He said as he took out a ring with the insignia of the Forsaken Faction imbedded on top and gave it to Gon.

"This is a special ring that gives you a certain extent of authority, as long as you activate it. 2-5 of my subordinates will immediately appear on your side to protect or fulfill one of your requests. You can only use it once per week so use it wisely, Gon. My subordinates will immediately go back once they fulfill their duty"

He said with a light smile on his face before glancing at Erza and Mordred who just came back inside the room.

"Again, thank you, Gon. This rune will truly help me a lot in the future. If you need any help then just activate the ring... I'll need to return back to my hometown since I already found what I was looking for"

He said as a large dimensional rift appeared behind them, sucking all of the air within the room as both Mordred and Erza entered inside without hesitation.

"I hope we'll meet again in the future, Gon"

"Mn! I hope we meet again soon, Lucias, and thanks for the items you gave us!"

Gon said as he energetically waved his hand at Lucias, who took one step inside the portal.

"Don't mention it"

-with Rimuru-

"How powerful is Trihexa?"

Rimuru asked Great Red who was staring at the rift in space with an excited expression on her face.

"That guy is as powerful as me, even now when I improved a bit thanks to Lucias. That guy can still stand toe to toe with me, but... with your strength, you can win against him... It's still a bit uncomfortable to think that a slime was able to surpass me in strength"

She said with a sour expression on his face as the rift above them suddenly fluctuated, causing powerful waves of mana to travel across the world, sending pressure and shivers down everyone's spine as the rift expanded.

"... Ophis did you do that?"

Great Red asked out in confusion as she glanced at Ophis who had a neutral expression on her face.

"No, I thought it was you who did that, Baka-red"

She said causing both Great Red and Rimuru to look at the rift in confusion as they haven't done anything to cause this kind of reaction.

Slowly, the rift futher expanded engulfing the entire sky, as an extremely large creature suddenly peaked out of the void.

The creature immediately let out an ear piercing cry as it slowly came out of the void, revealing it's large figure to the 5 of them.

It has seven necks, seven heads, with ten horns, as well as seven long thick tails of different shapes. It also has four stout arms and two legs that are even thicker than its arms. Its main body is that of a primate leaning forward and is covered in black fur and what appears to be scales all over its body. Its size is well over several hundred meters, causing it's body to cover the entire sky before it landed on the ground.

Creating a powerful earthquake around them as the ocean and seas close to them trembled in response.

"What a noisy creature that is"

Gilgamesh said as he stared at the large creature in front of them with a serious expression on his face, as all of them readied themselves for battle.

Trihexa who noticed their existence let out a powerful roar as it stared at Rimuru, Ophis, and Great Red who all let out incredibly powerful auras from their bodies.

"It's been a long time, buddy"

Great Red said with a large smile on her face before kicking the ground below her, causing it to shatter into pieces as her body was propelled towards Trihexa's direction. Kicking it's body with her current small feet, causing it to slide backwards due to the incredible force contained in Great Red's attack as a large dent in its scales appeared on its chest.

*ROAR!!!!*

The creature roared as one of its head spat out violet flames from its mouth, causing Great Red to immediately jump up with all of her strength as the flame burn everything on the ground to crisp.

"Tch! Taste my kick!!!"

Great Red shouted as she striked an axe kick towards one of its heads, causing it to launch at the ground at full force, breaking the ground to pieces as its other head suddenly opened its mouth, planning on biting Great Red but was stopped as a powerful beam of concentrated purple mana exploded on its head.

"[Dark Flame]"

Rimuru said as powerful black flames suddenly engulfed his entire body before launching at it towards Trihexa's direction, while a giant golden magic circle appeared above the sky, containing several ancient staffs before it fired golden lightning towards Trihexa's direction.

*ROAR!!!*.

Trihexa roured as it took both of the attacks head on, destroying its scales as it felt its skin and flesh burn causing it to swing its giant tail at Rimuru's direction.

Rimuru who saw its attack immediately erected a multitude of barriers around her body, blocking its attack completely as Great Red suddenly launched a powerful kick on its back, causing its entire body to bury on the ground while Ophis launched a concentrated beam of mana towards its feet, piercing a large hole on its limbs as the cold and hard ground engulfed its entire limbs to keep it in place.

*ROAR!!!*

Trihexa roared in pain from the multitude of attacks launched at its direction, causing all of its 7 head to spew out violet flames from its mouth and scattering it across the land, burning everything to crisp as Gilgamesh immediately erected a barrier around him and Enkidu.

"Your breath stinks so close your mouth!!"

Great Red shouted with a large grin on his face before kicking the jaw of one of its head upwards, causing the it's mouth to close as the fire exploded inside of its mouth, as it slashed it's claws at Great Red.

"Shit!!"

Great Red shouted as she immediately blocked its attack, causing her body to propell high in the air as Gilgamesh suddenly summoned thousands of weapons from his gate before raining it all down at Trihexa who was quickly recovering from its injuries.

"This guy is tough"

Rimuru muttered as he launched [Dark Thunder] together with his [Dark Flame], causing a giant lightning strike to hit one of it's head while he fired a ball of dark flames towards its body, causing the flame to explode and expand on its body, inflicting more damage.

*ROAR!!!*

Trihexa roared as it struggled to break free from the multitude of attacks aimed at its direction, even though its regeneration helped it recover, the amount of damage that they inflict was more than the rate of what it can recover.

It then tried to stomp its gigantic feet and Enkidu and Gilgamesh, but was stopped as a giant blood red dragon suddenly stepped on its back, causing its body to press against the ground as it issued another painful roar.

"Pick on someone your own size"

Great Red said in her dragon form as a large smile floated on her face, causing Trihexa to struggle to break free only to get imbedded on the ground by Great Red who rode its back.

"NOW!!!"

Rimuru shouted as thousands of golden chains suddenly engulfed Trihexa's entire body while Rimuru increase the gravity around Trihexa's body, affecting Great Red who was on top of him in the process.

"OY!!"

Great Red shouted as she struggled to move her limbs, but couldn't as the amount of gravity pressed on her and Trihexa's body was more than what they're strength can handle.

"I will awaken the breath of the planet, for I walk with humanity"

Enkidu started chanting as she charged at Trihexa's direction while his body suddenly released a powerful wave of mana.

"[Enuma Elish]! Humans, let us bind the gods!"

She shouted as her body started to transform into a divine construct, creating large, golden chains around Trihexa's body as it immediately binded it to the ground, weakening the creature in the process as soon as the chains touched its flesh.

"[Infinite Prison]"

Rimuru chanted as he flew above Trihexa's body, causing large amounts of concentrated mana to appear on the ground, around Trihexa's body, creating a powerful prison around it as Great Red and Enkidu immediately jumped out to avoid getting caught up from the spell.

*ROARR!!!!!!*

Trihexa roared in anger, causing it to launch a powerful wave of violet mana towards the barrier, but was caught in surprise as its mana suddenly dissipated before it even came in contact with the barier.

"Mission accomplished"

Rimuru said with a light smile on his face as he landed on the ground where Enkidu and Gilgamesh were.

"Great job subduing him for a while"

Rimuru said as he looked at both of them with a friendly smile on his face.

"Our contributions are nothing compared to yours, Rimuru-san"

Enkidu kindly smiled as both Great Red, who was back at her human form, and Ophis descended down the sky towards their direction.

"Hahaha!! I wonder what kind of reward will Lucias give us if he finds out that we captured this guy"

Great Red said in a loud tone, causing her voice to echo across the burnt and destroyed land that they were on, where half of the place was burned to crisp by both Rimuru and Trihexa.

"... After what we did to this place. I don't think we'll be recieving any reward"

Rimuru said as he glanced at their location with a complicated expression on his face.

"Let's go back"

Ophis said as she glanced at Trihexa, preparing to transfer its entire body back to the headquarters until Lucias returns.

"Not yet... We still have some business here"

Rimuru said as he glanced at the lare rift in space which still hasn't dissapeared with a light smile on his face.

"Are we waiting for someone here?"

Enkidu asked, following Rimuru's line of direction as thousands of white figures suddenly came out of the void. All of them having pairs of golden wings, wearing a clean, white military uniform on their body as they all flew out of the void.

"Angels?"

Enkidu muttered while looking at the figures in the sky out of curiosity as the angel in the front of the army suddenly descended to the ground, right in front of them.

"Kind of"

Rimuru said as the Angel arrived at their location before she glanced at Trihexa's direction.

"You must be the Major General of the Ancient Angels, Azazel has spoken a lot about you in the past"

Rimuru said causing the Angel in front of him to widen her eyes in response.

"You know her? So she was still alive, huh?"

She said while looking at Rimuru with a deep gaze on her face.

"I'm Camael, one of the current Generals of the Ancient Angels. I hope to ask you a few things if you don't mind"
