Chapter 52: Misaka Sisters

-with Mukuro, Valerie, Kuroka, and Yami-

"... So did you find anything Yami?"

Valerie asked as the 4 of them along with Mikoto  and a beautiful woman with sporting long straight hair of golden color, and pupils shaped like stars, all sat down inside the dark room of the dormitory.

"Why are they both here nya?"

Kuroka asked while staring at the two unfamiliar girls inside the room.

"... this is my room. Shokuho what are you doing inside my room!?"

"Ara, can't I even join in the fun, Misaka-san?"

"Get out!"

Mikoto angrily shouted before kicking her out of the room without hesitation while the other 4 girls watched their interactions with amusement.

"... *Sigh*... So why are we all gathered inside my room?"

Mikoto asked before sitting down on the bed, gazing at the two new faces that she hasn't seen before inside the room.

"We're here to discuss something important Mikoto-san, is it alright with you?" (Valerie)

"I guess it's fine if it's something important so... What's this important thing that you girls want to discuss about?"

"Do we tell her about this, Valerie Tepes?"

Yami asked as she stood in the middle of the two beds, staring at Mikoto with a neutral expression on her face.

"Hmm... Mikoto-san what we are about to discuss... is kind of sensitive, can you promise that you won't uh... go on a rampage once you know the truth?"

"The truth? The truth about what?"

Mikoto asked in confusion from her words.

"Do you remember the DNA sample you donated when you were young?"

Valerie asked before glancing at Yami, signalling her to take out the documents she stole from the laboratories.

"Yeah, what about it? 

"... I think it's better if you read it yourself, Mikoto-san"

Valerie gave her the documents given to her by Yami, containing the information about the Radio Noise Project, the Level 6 shift program, and it's relation to Accelerator.

"What this?"

Mikoto grabbed the documents in her hands without minding the strange expression that all 4 of them had while gazing at her direction.

"Are you sure we should tell her about this nya?"

Kuroka asked while tapping Valerie's shoulder before placing her gaze at Mikoto reading the documents given to her with trembling hands.

"It's better for her to know the truth early on... or else it might hurt her even more when she finds out about this in the future..."

Valerie answered, looking at Mikoto with a worried expression on her face, watching her crumple the documents out of anger.

"... Is this true?" 

Mikoto asked as sparks of electricity came out of her body.

"... I think you already know the answer to your question, Mikoto-san"

Valerie answered causing Mikoto to burn the paper in her hands as several powerful sparks of electricity came out of her body, destroying all electrical appliances inside before standing up from the bed and running towards the door of the room to charge at the laboratories indicated inside those documents.

"Stop her"

Valerie ordered causing Yami to immediately move and wrap her long golden hair around Mikoto's body before transforming them into insulators to block her electricity if she ever tried to use it on her.

"Let go of me!!!"

Mikoto struggled, wiggling her body to try and escape the hair wrapped around her.

"Calm down Mikoto-san... What you're doing will only endanger all of them, so calm down alright?"

Valerie gently advised while signalling for Yami to place her on top of the bed.

"Calm down and we'll let you go, if you just charge in there without a plan, then you will fail to accomplish your objective so relax, alright? We'll help you free them and stop the project once and for all since our objectives align with each other"

Valerie says in a gentle voice while cutely patting her head to try and calm her emotions down, since if she rampage through the laboratories, there only chance for completing the quest will disappear.

"..."

"Have you calmed down?"

Valerie asked while observing her expression to see if she has calmed down to check if they can finally release her, ensuring that she wouldn't do anything reckless like charging towards the laboratories.

"... Yeah... I've calmed down... thanks Valerie"

Mikoto answered as she tried to stabilise her breathing to calm her anger from exploding.

"Great! Yami you can let go of her now"

Valerie said causing Yami to untangle her hair on Mikoto's body, releasing her from her grasp as she sat down beside Kuroka.

"So... how are you planning to stop this?"

Mikoto asked as soon as she sat up from the bed, facing the 4 girls inside the room.

"We want the Misaka Sister's alive but... we need them to submit their loyalty to us to make it happen" (Valerie)

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"We need all of them to submit their loyalty to us  so that we can bring all ten thousand clones with us back to our home"

"Home? I thought you were lost?"

"We were lost, because our home isn't from this world... but from another"

Valerie honestly answered causing Mikoto to look at them in confusion.

"You wouldn't understand it, Mikoto-san... just trust us and we'll definitely stop the project. Free of charge"

"We never back down on our word nya! Just like how Lucias taught us"

"Indeed, do trust us for thy task, thee will take the responsibility of every consequences that might happen"

All of the girls assured, causing her to unconciously smile as she faced the 4 of them to ask her previous question again.

"So... what's the plan?"

"We need to stab at least one of them with this dagger"

Valerie answered as she took out a contract dagger from Kuroka's obi, that Lucias gave to them before they left the base according to the suggestions of Nia when she used her ability to gather information about this dimension.

"You want to stab them? Are you girls trying to kill them?"

"No, that's only because you don't understand the concepts and the mechanism of the dagger. It doesn't really kill the person that is stabbed with it"

Yami explained as she took the dagger away from her hands using her hair before stabbing herself on her stomach with the dagger.

"W-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?"

Mikoto shouted in surprise from seeing her stabbed herself in front of them, quickly running towards her to check her Yami's condition.

"Are you craz- Eh? There's no blood?"

Mikoto muttered in surprise from seeing not a single drop of blood on her stomach while the blade of the dagger was deeply imbedded inside her stomach.

"The dagger is unable to harm anyone but... It has a special ability that amplifies the loyalty of those who were stabbed by the dagger to the one who stabbed it"

Yami said before pulling the dagger out of her stomach, revealing not a single scratch or wound visible on her slim body.

"W-what the..."

"The only downside is that that person must hold at least a small amount of positive emotion towards the stabber or else the effects of the dagger won't work at all" (Yami)

"W-wait let me digest everything first"

Mikoto said while holding her head from the weird events that happened lately ever since she met both Valerie and Mukuro.

"So... You only have to stabbed one of them?"

"Yes"

"That's it? There's no other procedures?"

"Not that I remember"

Yami patiently answered her questions while comfortably sitting down on the soft bed, next to Kuroka who was laying down comfortably on the bed.

"Wait... How did you two get your hands on a contract dagger anyway?"

Valerie asked out of curiosity while looking at her deadpan expression.

"Because of Nia, she can momentarily see the future or obtain information of any timeline and dimension as long as any of the spirits are inside those dimension... but it is limited since she can only see it once, and it's scope is narrowed down to the basics" (Yami)

"Nia predicted this?" (Valerie)

"Nia already expected this to happen that is why she requested that we are given with one contract dagger before we enter this dimension... And because of the network connecting all of them, we only need to stab one to capture all of them at once" (Yami)

"Did she have any other predictions on how are we going to rescue all of the Misaka sister in every laboratory around this city?" (Valerie)

"The gate will automatically pull them all back to the base as soon as it is activated by either the two of you, if that doesn't work... then we will have to go back to the base and request for reinforcements from the Dhampirs to rescue them" (Yami)

"... I can't believe this will be solved so easily just because of both Nia and Lucias... We were stuck here for months and still haven't made any progress" (Valerie)

"Don't let it get you down since the same goes for both Cerberus and Kuroka who were stuck in their dimension for one year if not for Lucias helping them out" (Yami)

"Hehehe~" (Kuroka).

"A-a year!?"

"Yes, coincidentally Lucias is now 11 years old... A lot of things has changed inside the faction"

"... I-Is Lucias back at the castle?"

"No, he needed to assist the other pairs with their quest... but he told me... he was waiting for all of us to come back"

"..."

"I also advised that you should hurry and complete your quest so that you won't be the last girl Lucias confess to"

"Eh?"

"Huh?"

Both Mukuro and Valerie muttered in shock as they stood up from the bed.

"Lucias already confessed to both me and Kuroka"

"We're his fiancée nya!"

Kuroka proudly stated as she showed the ring on her finger with a crystal carved into an image of a sleeping cat located at the middle of the ring, while Yami showed her own ring finger to the two of them, showing the same ring but unlike Kuroka her crystal was carved into the shape of a rose with thorns decorating the sides of the crystal rose.

"Hehehe~ He promised to marry us all when all the problems are done nya!"

Kuroka said with a sloppy smile on her face as she couldn't contain her happiness causing her to squirm on the bed while Yami looked down at the floor with flushed cheeks from remembering his confession to her as soon as they were alone together before they entered this dimension.

"Did you 4 just forget that I'm still here?"

Mikoto muttered but found it strange that all 4 of them agreed on sharing the man, causing her to become more curious about Lucias Frey who was always mentioned by either Mukuro or Valerie every time they hang out or chatted.

"Lucias, huh?"

A certain blond haired girl eavesdropping behind the door muttered in amusement as a large grin formed on her face.

"It makes me want to meet him even more~"

She muttered before continuing to press her ear against the door to listen more to their conversation but was smashed by the door opened by Mikoto who noticed her eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Ouch... What was that for, Misaka-san!?"

"Are you seriously asking that?"

"Mikoto, don't mind her, we already noticed her presence way before we even started... just let her in if she want to help" (Yami)

"Really!?"

"No! And stop eavesdropping!"

Mikoto slammed the door on her face with all of her strength before returning back to the group.

"Mukuro..."

Valerie called out while smiling brightly at her direction.

"Yes?"

"I think you already know what on my mind"

"Indeed"

"Let's finish our quest as quickly as possible, alright?"

Valerie said with a sweet smile on her face while holding the contract dagger in her right hand as a chilling glint shone on the blade of the dagger, sending shivers down the girls spine.
