Chapter 27: Rescue Mission (2)

"We have successfully killed the lights, captain"

A young dhampirs said before slicing the main circuit of the entire laboratory, saluting towards the dhampir leading the front of the group.

"Split up and kill the guards around the facility, make sure to leave no witnesses behind"

A dhampir wearing a black robe over his body ordered the 4 dhampirs following behind him as they travelled through shadows of the building, 

"Hai!"

All of them shouted in unison before disappearing from the shadows, minimizing their presence to not alert any of the scientist inside the laboratory.

"Show no mercy"

He said before diving in the darkness of the room and appearing behind a guard, patrolling the containment unit located at the northern side of the laboratory.

"Who-"

The man quickly sliced his body in half before slicing the devil's head off his body to make sure that he doesn't survive his attack.

"One down"

The dhampir said before searching for another target in the dark hallway surrounding the containment unit, swinging his katana to the side to remove the blood that was smeared on his blade.

"[Acceleration]"

The man casted as soon as he detected 4 devils walking at the dark hallways of the laboratory, causing his speed to increase by several folds as he charged at the devils in front of him while brandishing his blade.

"Hey... Do you feel that?"

One of the devils asked while cautiously holding his weapon in his hands, gazing at his surroundings from feeling the sudden change of the direction of the wind in front of them.

"Pfft! Why are you so paranoid? There's no way someone will-"

He said in ridicule as he stared at the new recruit standing beside him, not noticing the clean cuts located at his crotch up to his head.

"-intrude this place"

He continued his words before being sliced in half by the figure travelling in the shadows.

"W-what"

One of the devil screamed in horror as he watched his friend die in front of his eyes as friend's blood splattered on the 3 of them.

"W-Who's there!!??"

One of them screamed in fear as he tried to search for the figure that killed their friend, trembling in fear from the extremely silent kill performed by the figure.

"A dead person doesn't need to know who I am"

"What-"

The dhampir suddenly appeared behind him as he pierced his heart through his back before switching his grip on the hilt, slicing him through his side as he slitted the throat of a nearby devil with his blade. Killing both of them in quick succession without spilling a single blood on his robe.

"M-Monster"

The last devil called out in fear while pointing at the dhampirs standing in front of him while the corpses of his comrades fell on the cold ground of the laboratory.

"D-Don't get close to me!!"

The devil shouted in terror as he tried to run away but was immediately killed by the Dhampirs who stabbed his blade through his head.

"You're too noisy"

The dhampir said in an irritated voice before hearing the voices of his comrades through the earpiece in his right ear.

[The area is cleared, me and Samantha are now opening the door so cover us]

[Understood]

"Good job, I'll arrive at your coordinates at 5 minutes, Art, prepare the portal back to our headquarters, we'll immediately transfer them once we secure the containment unit"

[Affirmative]

"Everyone be careful for any ambushes"

[Hai!]

-with Justice-

"... So we're just going to charge in there?"

Judgement asked with a frown while pointing her thumb at the glass door where most of the scientist and the Nekoshous are currently located.

"Yep!"

Justice answered, giving her a thumbs up with a wide smile visible on her face.

"... What happened to the plan of not standing out?"

"What? We can't rescue the nekoshous inside the main laboratory without charging inside, based on the reports they don't stop their experiments since they do it in shifts"

Justice explained causing Judgement to sigh with a tired expression on her face.

"Remember, leave no witnesses behind. Since they'll all witness our appearance anyway, I think it's better if we kill them all in the get-go"

"We're going to get in trouble for this"

"Don't worry, we can just visit Lucias and 'apologize' to him"

Justice said as she winked at her direction, causing Judgement to blush from remembering their conversation a while ago.

"Well, we'll have to take turns since I want my first time to be just between us, we can have our threesome in the future"

Justice said as she smacked her shoulder with a wide grin on her face.

"Not interested"

Judgement immediately rejected while pushing her away with a slight blush of her dark pale skin causing Justice to grin at her while holding her chin with her right hand.

"What?"

"Nothing... It's just that, I'm somewhat aware of the reason why"

Justice said causing Judgement to jolt in her place remembering her hidden diary in her room containing her fantasies of Lucias.

"... What do you mean?"

Judgement asked, hiding her nervousness under a fake composed smile.

"You're not aware? I think most of the girls of his harem already know about this... 'romantic' side of yours, Judgement"

"..."

"Hahahaha, I was shocked when I read about your romantic fantasies together with Lucias. Maybe that's the reason why his more sweet and romantic towards you"

Justice said with a wide smile on her face causing Judgement to bury smash her head on the ground from the extreme embarrassment that she felt.

"Please kill me"

"Koneko!"

Rias loudly called out as she watched her rook crash against the large boulder in great speed from their opponent's attack.

"Don't let your guard down devil"

Erza muttered before kicking the hilt of her two handed sword at Rias who was kneeling on the ground while holding the large wound located at her waist.

"[Barrier]!"

Rias casted while holding out her hand causing a large crimson barrier to envelope her entire body, barely protecting her from Erza attack due to the massive force contained within the projectile.

"EMIYA's fighting style is... fun"

Erza muttered as she summoned several swords above her head made from different rare materials before jumping at the same level as the swords she pulled out of her pocket dimension, kicking every single sword towards Issei who was boosting his gear to launch a massive scale attack at Erza's direction.

"Shit!"

Issei shouted in shock before clumsily dodging Erza's swords from piercing several holes at his body.

"I missed..."

Erza muttered with a pout before dodging a lightning strike aimed at her direction.

"Haa... Haa..."

Akeno panted in exhaustion as she felt her mana being drained from her body due to the overusing all of her mana to protect her team.

"Rias... We lost..."

Akeno muttered before fainting at her spot due to mana exhaustion causing Rias to click her tongue as she gazed at the red haired little girl, confidently standing between her and Issei.

"That's enough!"

An loud androgynous voice shouted above them in a displeased tone causing Issei to bow his head in frustration and disappointment.

"Shit! Sandra-chan..."

Issei muttered as all of them were pulled towards the spectating room where Artoria was currently staying at to watch their battle.

"... *Sigh*... Rias Gremory, tell me. Why did your team lose?"

Artoria asked as soon as they arrived inside the room while massaging the bridge of her nose from the headache that she felt from watching their battle.

"..."

"What? Lucias has personally instructed you in tactics and strategies, don't tell me you don't know why you lost?"

"... We lack... coordination"

Rias said while gritting her teeth as both her and Issei kneeled on the ground before glancing at the unconscious Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko on the sofa.

"You're correct, all of you have the sufficient strength and skill to hold them off but you all lack the ability to properly coordinate your skills together as a team"

Artoria said in a loud voice before signaling for the maids to pour the health potion on the 3 unconscious body on the sofa.

"Tell those 3 to wake up, I'll give all of you a piece of advise so you won't end up being killed once the second round starts"

Artoria ordered causing the maids to respectfully bow their heads before walking towards the 3 unconscious devils, implanting their mana inside their circuit to supply their body with enough mana to keep them awake while their suits rapidly recovers their body.

"Then let's start with you Hyoudo Issei. You're rushing the match far too much, that is what holding you back. You keep on boosting your magic to its limit for an attack, but that is only recommendable if your target is standing still. You must know when to fire small scale attacks and when to fire large scale attacks"

Artoria preached as she crossed her arms on her chest, causing Issei to guiltily bow his head.

"Koneko Toujo, you were one of the only people that I trained myself. I expected more from you"

Artoria said as she gazed at Koneko who just woke up, kneeling on the ground together with Rias.

"Don't just charge in the battlefield if your team composition has 3 mages. You know that they out scale all of you in every aspect, so why did you ignore that and just blindly charged at them?"

Artoria asked causing Koneko to guiltily bow her head while clenching her fist from frustration.

"You're inside enemy grounds so think wisely Koneko Toujo. In that scenario your main priority is protecting the main sources of your team's damage since your body is more durable that this flimsy knight of yours"

Artoria said as she pointed at Kiba who was angrily glaring at her direction.

"Kiba Yuuto, you disregarded the safety of your king. Indeed you distracted the assassin of your enemy but you charged at him by yourself without regarding the huge gap between both of your speed and ability"

Artoria said in a tired voice as she stood in front of them in a refined posture befitting of a knight.

"As a knight, you must think wisely of your next moves in regards to the orders of your king, if you recklessly attack your enemy, ignoring the orders of your king, then you'll be the main reason of your and your king's death. If the king dies then so does the morale of the soldiers, so don't be reckless, Kiba Yuuto"

Artoria said in an angry tone while looking down at him in disappointment.

"The honourable title of a Knight is only wasted on someone like you, Kiba Yuuto"

Artoria stated before gazing at the last two devils in front of her.

"Rias Gremory, you did great in analyzing and creating a proper strategy to face your enemies but you're too soft on your peerage. They're all not taking your orders seriously and just followed their own decisions. You need to work on your prestige as the king of your peerage, set an example to them for them to follow your orders"

Artoria reprimanded while tapping her shoes at the floor with an impatient expression on her face.

"The only one who was able to fulfill his role with perfect results is Akeno Himejima. Not only did she deal significant damage to her enemies unlike you lots, she is able to support all of you to keep every single one of you alive causing her to suffer from extreme mana depletion. She adjusted herself to fix the coordination of your team. Indeed she disregarded your orders but she only did it since no one else is listening to your words, she needed to adjust her style since she is both the mage and the support of your peerage"

Artoria said causing Akeno to stare at her in surprise, not expecting for her to praise her all of the sudden.

"You all lack coordination as a team, this is what Lucias wanted for all of you to learn, that is why instead of continuing your training individually, he chose to place all of you in a mock battle to train your coordination and teamwork. Since you can only trust yourselves and your teammates in the battlefield"

Artoria said as she gazed at them one more time before a large magic circle appeared below the devils, indicating that they are being transported back at the simulation room of their faction.

"Remember my words, devils"
