As the four visitors approached the palace, it was evident that their arrival had been eagerly anticipated by both the palace's armies and royal guards. They huddled together, stealing glances at Princess Helena and exchanging hushed whispers. Tearfully, Princess Helena caught a glimpse of Prince Nimrod's silhouette amidst the crowd. She quickly averted her gaze, staring in the opposite direction.
Without wasting a moment, Prince Nimrod confronted his wife. "What have you done?" he demanded.
Princess Helena dismounted from her horse, seemingly ignoring Prince Nimrod's inquiry. She walked behind the line of horses that had accompanied her, confirming David's condition. Her head hung low as she attempted to untie the rope binding David to one of the soldier's horses, who had compelled them to return to the palace.
Prince Nimrod's face flushed crimson at the sight of Princess Helena's actions. He seized her arm, exclaiming, "Are you jesting?"
