The New Life

He couldn't wait to start his new life at the university. He had always been excited about the idea of living away from home, but now that the day was finally here, he was feeling a mix of emotions. He was nervous, of course, but also excited to meet new people and experience new things. As he drove to the university, he couldn't help but feel like he was on the brink of something big. The campus was huge and sprawling, and he wasn't sure where to begin. He had a map, but it was hard to make sense of all the different buildings and paths. As he wandered around, he started to feel like he was being watched. It was probably just his imagination, but he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following him. He tried to brush it off and focus on finding his way, but the feeling persisted. Was someone really following him or was he just being paranoid? He finally found the building where he was supposed to check in for his dorm room. After getting his keys, he made his way to his room, which was on the fifth floor. As he stepped into the elevator, he noticed a man standing in the corner. The man didn't look at him, but he felt that same feeling of being watched. The elevator ride seemed to take forever, and he couldn't wait to get out. When the doors finally opened on the fifth floor, he stepped out quickly and headed down the hall to his room. As he fumbled with his keys, he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around, but no one was there. He shook his head and unlocked his door, relieved to finally be in his room. But as he looked out the window, he saw the man from the elevator standing outside, staring up at him. He quickly shut the blinds and locked the door, feeling more uneasy than ever. Who was this man and why was he following him? He decided to call a friend from home to tell them about the strange man following him. As he was on the phone, he heard a knock at the door. He froze, unsure of what to do. The knocking continued, growing louder and more insistent. Finally, he mustered the courage to open the door. It was the man from the elevator. He pushed his way into the room, and the door slammed shut behind him. He turned to face the man, who was now holding a knife. "You should have never come here," the man said in a low voice. The man lunged forward, and he dodged out of the way. He ran to the door, but it was locked from the outside. He was trapped.
