"I guess that is my father…" Zaos thought after he felt a strange link between them.

The man had the face of someone who had few friends, and even his few friends probably don't invite him to have a few drinks after work… Zaos couldn't understand why he thought that when he barely could understand the meaning of that comparison.

The tall man suddenly said something that Zaos didn't understand. He assumed that was about him since he didn't took his eyes out of Zaos. His mother also said something, but with the sweetest smile on her face. She even raised Zaos as if she told him to hold Zaos for a while, but he just said something and then left. That made Zaos frown and also made his mother show a sad smile.

"All right… my first impression is that mom scored one hundred and dad scored forty on their respective roles," Zaos thought. "I am not sure if this is common sense, but a man should at least be present when the mother of his son is giving birth."

It looked like Zaos's father was busy, but that didn't work as an excuse, at least for Zaos. Still, despite all that, Zaos decided to be a bit more lenient. After all, without that man, he wouldn't have been born.

Although Zaos had many questions in his head, time began to pass rather fast in that house. Fortunately, or perhaps, unfortunately, several things became clear as the days passed. First of all, his mother really had a weak constitution. She spent several weeks recovering in that bedroom from birth. Zaos couldn't help but feel guilty about that since he probably caused many problems on his delivery. He couldn't confirm that, though.

Another thing that became evident was that his father barely spent much time at home. The armor and the sword weren't just to show off, he certainly had a job that required those, and the job also demanded a lot from him. Despite the fact that Zaos didn't leave that room and only saw a single woman dressed like a servant would bring his mother food and his mother, time passed fast since his body required him to sleep a lot.

"I guess this is something normal as well since the mother doesn't seem troubled by it," Zaos thought.

Since Zaos didn't have anything better to do when he was awake, he decided to pay attention to his mother's words. He had to learn how to use them, after all. Speaking was probably impossible since his vocal cords weren't developed yet. Still, at least he learned simple things like good morning, good afternoon, and good night. Those were the sentences that his mother used whenever he woke up.

When Zaos woke up faster than his mother, he had the chance to analyze his weird dreams. The same thing happened several times where he saw himself standing in a weird room, and whenever the room was about to be freed from the fog and darkness, he would wake up. However, after several of those, Zaos finally had a different dream. While some things were covered in fog and darkness, he saw himself in another place and surrounded by shadows that represented people.

"Those dreams sure are weird… I feel like I am more grown up in them, but… since I don't move and can't see my body, maybe it is just my imagination." Zaos thought.

Around one month after his birth, Zaos noticed that his mother was strong enough to leave his room. She dressed herself in a single-piece blue dress and also took Zaos in her arms to leave the room. He was quite excited since he was going to see something aside from those boring walls and ceiling. Still, Zaos frowned when he saw a statue in front of the room… a statue that was wearing a full set of armor and a sword.

It looked like Zaos was born in quite a wealthy family. That bedroom was just a small part of a massive mansion… a militarized mansion that had many statuses using different sets of armor and weapons. Despite that, the place looked quite refined and well-maintained.

While they were crossing the corridors, Zaos and his mother found several other women dressed in servant clothes. When they showed up, they stopped and bowed at his mother, but once she passed through them, Zaos noticed that they would whisper something at each other while looking at his mother.

"I guess you guys scored even less than father… thirty points to all of you," Zaos thought.

Zaos thought he would pass by a living room before leaving the mansion, but that didn't happen. It looks like his mother's bedroom was closer to the garden than he thought. Now that Zaos thought about it, her bed was quite small… Apparently, his mother and father don't use the same room.

Regardless, those thoughts disappeared from his mind when he and his mother arrived at the garden. Although the mansion's interior apparently belonged to someone who loved armor and swords, the exterior was much different. The garden was much greener than anything that Zaos had ever seen. There were also several bed flowers that made space even look more dazzling.

Zaos looked to the side and noticed that the garden was divided into two parts. The Eastside and the Westside. Between them, one could find the path that led the gates of the residence to the entrance of the mansion. At both sides of the path, Zaos found two unusually large camps, each one of them was at least one hundred meters long… he had no idea what that meant, though. Regardless, in one camp, he found some dummies with targets marked in them, and in the other, he found nothing.

Zaos's mother sat in a chair in front of a bed of flowers, and then she took a deep breath to feel the sweet fragrance in the air. Zaos also felt quite relaxed thanks to the small and perfect temperature he felt thanks to the season that early in the morning… in that relaxing moment, Zaos noticed that he had been transmigrated.
