Chapter 3

She woke up drenched in sweat. She knelt and prayed against her nightmare. 

  She saw herself, the cute green-eyed boy and the annoying Chad in a wide expanse of space.

Chad stabbed the green eyed guy with some kind of sword and the green eyed guy fell to the ground. 

He stabbed her too and she collapsed. He walked over and collected some kind of crystal from her.

The whole universe went black. 

In school the next day, Ariel dragged Jero away from oogling his unrequited crush,  Adriana kurroine, whose parents where rich enough to buy the whole school fifty times without their wallets getting lighter. 

Adriana's twin brother was also Jero's friend and although he helped Jero, Adriana would have none of it. She hated the very air Jero breathed but that didn't derail him though. 

"Hey what'd you that for, she was about to look at me! ",Jero shrieked in indignation. She rolled her eyes. "You can admire your darling another time, I need you to help me look for someone", she said. "Who?, Chad?, he doesn't go to this school so I doubt very much that you'll see him", he said. 

Ariel angrily smacked his mouth,"Who told you I'm looking for Chad, I'm looking for a guy with supernova green eyes, you idiot", she said. 

"You mean like yours but green",Jero asked while caressing his mouth. "Even brighter, like times ten", she said. 

Jero's eyes widened drastically. He usually mistook Ariel for a cartoon character because of her brighter than most eyes. For someone to have eyes even brighter meant that the person was phenomenal. He suddenly wanted to meet the person. 

Ariel and Jero walked around the whole school but couldn't find him. "Sorry girl, I have fifth period technical drawing so I can't come with you anymore, tell me when you find him", he said and jogged to his class. 

Ariel smiled at her best friend. He didn't need technical drawing for what he wanted to major for in college but he still took it because Adriana was in the class. 

The moment he knew Adriana was there, he jumped to the class. Later though, he found out that he actually liked it and he always topped the class followed very closely by Adriana. For his sake, she hoped Adriana noticed him one day. 

She had fifth period free and decided to go to the library. 

She was so immersed in the book she was reading that she didn't even notice that someone was standing beside her chair. 

He blocked her light, "Hey can you move...", her voice trailed off when she saw who was blocking her light. Chad was dressed in a yellow bright shirt and pencil black jean trousers.

He absolutely did not pull off the casual look. His stylist probably had a problem with aligning colours. But she couldn't deny that he still looked gorgeous. His muscles struggled to burst out of the shirt and his eyes  smothered...

"Hey Ariel", he said in a low voice. She felt her cheeks getting warm. "Hi Chad", she said in voice she couldn't recognize.

Chad chuckled at her and sat down on the seat next to her. 

"Oh I wanted to ask, most aliens arrive in rockets but you just crash landed ",she said. 

"You stated a fact but didn't ask a question,"he said. She rolled her eyes, "fine then, why did you crash land?", she asked. "Because I hit the ground with a terrible amount of force", he replied. She grunted, "Why did you hit the ground with a terrible amount of force?", she asked again. "Because I couldn't control my speed", he said with a hint of mischief dancing on his lips. She full out growled at him, "Why couldn't you control your speed", she asked through clenched teeth. 

Chad finally smirked fully. A look that perfectly suited him. "Because I crash landed", he said. 

Ariel released a long breath and stood up to go. "You might have never been told this but you are very frustrating, why exactly are you in this school. You don't go here", she asked. 

'He's not gonna give a straight answer' she thought.  "The principal asked me to tell you about myself ",he replied straightforwardly for the first time. Ariel suddenly felt like shouting a content hallelujah but she remembered she was in the library.

"Thanks for your company, I'm out of here", she said and left. 

Chad stayed there confused and annoyed that a girl could just leave him hanging like this.
