Chapter 19

     Nova frowned and snapped his fingers in front of her eyes. She snapped out of her admiration and had a new kind of respect for him. She couldn't help it, she was a materialistic person, she began thinking of a way to get close to his girlfriend so they could go on ridiculously expensive shopping trips together. 

       Then she noticed something, this wasn't the place where she stayed for more than 6 weeks. "Where are we? ", she asked.

       "My house and your living quarters for the next few months", he said. She furrowed her brows. "What country are we in? ", she asked cos this was sure as hell not her familiar country. "Country Al", he replied. "Huh? ", she asked. How come she never saw a country 'Al' on the world map before, not that she particularly checked out a world map before. 

          "Country Al, the biggest country on Neptune", he said. "Ooohh, THAT country Al...wait, NEPTUNE!!!! ", She practically screamed. He furrowed his brows. "Young woman, I'll have you know that I have a very thin thread of patience, and you're cutting of some of it. You don't want to see me mad", he said in his calm voice. Although his voice, expression and body appeared calm, his aura suddenly shifted from lazy and powerful to crazy and powerful. 

          She recoiled and quickly nodded. He sighed and kept walking. Finally they reached the front door. Much to Ariel's confusion, there were no maids or workers around. He seemed to be the only one living in such a big mansion/villa/castle/really and extremely big structure. He showed her to a beautiful room. "You'll sleep here for the mean time, don't worry about being bored. Andrews and Asimuthia will be here from time to time. You navigate your own way to the training ground each day and practice with the demonstrational videos you'll see there. Good luck", he spoke like a game system spouting off the do's, dont's and point awarding rules of the game. 

         She nodded and then, he was no longer in front of her. How did he manage to always do that. She entered the room and soaked in a bath. When she was done, she emerged in a decent-enough-to-turnoff-a-playboy bathrobe. She left the room to look for her 'Kid napper, or was it savior? 'she thought. 

         She walked a little and saw a beautiful wooden door with shiny deep brown wood and an elegant looking door knob. She twisted the knob and entered the room. There, she saw Nova behind a computer, his hands flying at the keys. 

        He looked really serious in this state. There were a couple of files on the desk and there was a bookshelf behind him. In the dim light of the room, he looked even more handsome. His eyes were reflecting brightly in the dim lighting and his jaw line seemed more defined. His eyebrows looked stable and all helped to complete the handsomeness of a certain man named Nova. Well named by her and Jero at least. 

        She considered turning back so as not to disturb him but it seemed like he sensed her presence. The temperature in the room dropped by a couple hundred degrees and Ariel suddenly started shivering. "Why is miss Powers in my study? ", he asked, clearly annoyed about someone disrupting his work. 

        Ariel turned back to him nervously but bravely. He narrowed his eyes dangerously at her. "Uh...i need clothes", she said. "Don't you already have clothes? ",he asked confused. "The ones I have were damaged by YOUR saving, and then I washed them. I'm sure you don't want me to walk around your home in a bathrobe", she said indignantly.

        Nova frowned hard but sighed. He stood up and grabbed her sash as the waist. He pulled her to a large room. The room was covered with black and white colors. Only black and white. The room exuded a male aura. She didn't want to enter. The last time she entered Levi's and Chad's rooms respectively, she nearly vomited with the annoying over production of male pheromones.

         He felt her hesitate. "Don't you need outfits anymore Miss Powers?", he asked surprised. "I do... But I'm not entering your room", she said firmly. He chuckled. He actually chuckled. It sounded deep and hypnotic, Ariel actually felt like she could listen to the sound forever. "You're safe with me Miss Powers, I won't attempt to rape you like Mr West", he said and froze. He quickly turned and was about to start walking when she grabbed his sleeve. 

        "How do you know that Levi tried to rape me? ", she asked like a mother who caught her son stealing cookie from the jar. He cleared his throat. "I heard you and Chad talking about it", he said confidently. Ariel narrowed her eyes at him. "Chad and I have never talked alone for more than two minutes, much less talking about Levi plus Chad doesn't even know Levi's last name", she said. 

          "I'm a really good guardian, so I know everything happening in the lives of other guardians, now get in", he said. Ariel frowned and stubbornly shook her head. He sighed and bent down. This time, since she didn't wear trousers, he carried her bridal style. 

          She struggled and squirmed but eventually relaxed when she felt that safe radiant energy envelope her. Then she realized something. Nova was her protector. The two were one and the same. Chad never saved her, Nova did. 

         She felt respect and trust the moment she saw him. This wasn't because he was more handsome than the rest, although that played a factor, it was because her subconscious knew that he had saved her time and time again, and will never harm her. 

          While he was walking her into the room, she tightened her arms around his neck. He stopped and raised an eyebrow inquisitively. "Thank you", she said and jumped down from his arms. He frowned and walked over to a walk in closet. "I have no female clothes so you have to endure wearing mine AND training properly in it", he said. She nodded and grabbed a white set. 

         When she emerged, Nova smirked. "Looking like my junior already", he said and bent down. He tied the waist of the top and rolled the trousers up. He rolled up the sleeves of the coat and released her. She smiled and walked out of the room with him.
