The dwarfs
Zakai was flying in the air, sighing
"This is not going to work."
"Oh trust me, it'll work," Dryad said "I watched the dwarves do it about 1000 years ago"
"Are you sure you're not going senile? you're an old woman after all"
"Shut up."
inputting the mana into the sword, the sickle and sword shone in the light and then went
"We're getting closer."
Zakai flew further up and muttered
"The signal is at max here."
Zakai thrust his sword in the air and twisted it
"opna!"
A large island suddenly appeared in mid-air, a long barrier of mana stretched around it.
Zakai pulled out of the sword and walked in, before slotting the sword back in and locking it
"Huh." Zakai said "Interesting."
The island was comparable to the land of 4 capital city's combined. yeah, it was large
"I swore I flew across here," Zakai muttered
"You did, it's just that the island was invisible"
"Permation magic maybe?" Zakai wondered, walking to the island
the island was large, but Zakai didn't know what to compare it to
maybe a bit bigger than the capital?
the island was filled with large skyscrapers that reached towards the top of the barrier, and many small houses that spanned vertically
the place was run down, and nobody to sight. it was run down to the ground. even the mighty tall skyscrapers were on their last legs
"What do you think happened?" Zakai muttered, looking around the run-down place "Something.... doesn't feel right about this."
The dryad seemed to agree, as Zakai walked into one of the houses
the houses seemed to be made out of brick, which was rare because it's normally thatched in the forsaken realm. however, all the houses are bricked, something only the noble realm could achieve
seeing 3 skeletons, Zakai's intuition was telling him to run away, and never come back. if he stayed, he might die
bringing out his scythe, Zakai slowly made his way to the large skyscraper, listening to the tense and eerie silence that filled the town.
walking closer and closer, Zakai saw more and more skeletons on the streets as he walked into the skyscraper
skeletons and swords were on the ground, with bloodstains staining the stained glass windows
(Try saying that.)
"What happened here?" Zakai asked the dryad
"Something isn't right" Dryad muttered "I would keep that scythe on you at all times unless you want to die from a sneak attack."
"You sense something?"
"No, just being realistic."
A Spatial portal was on the first floor, causing Zakai to walk through it, as he found himself on the next
"How is this magic still holding up?" Zakai thought "After all, those skeletons were not fresh."
after going to the top floor, Zakai found himself in an office that overlooked the rest of Eiden
looking around the room, Zakai found a bunch of papers, as he created a chair and read them all

When the first magic king killed the demon that wreaked havoc, the nobles announced that the time would be reset in honour of his deeds, Lc stood for Lumiere Clover, the first wizard king
"A year after?" Zakai muttered.
"Hey dryad, what did you know about the demon that wreaked havoc 300 years ago?"
Zakai knew what had happened, he did this to test the dryad
"I don't know."
"Oh please, not only was it 300 years ago, when the elfes gotten slaughtered, I dream about who I think to be licht wearing a neck bracelet with 12 magic stones in. which I'm coincidentally looking for." Zakai said "He was holding his dead wife, and passed his son and a grimoire to a man with a red and blue outfit. that was me, wasn't it."
The Dryad was silent
"So what does that make me? 300 years old? I want answers"
"..."
Zakai smashed some of the windows "TELL ME!"
"..." the dryad didn't respond "Tetia survived."
"Huh? who's tetia?" Zakai said, before squinting his eyes "The "dead" woman?"
"Her and her daughter. meanwhile, you were passed to Lumiere, as Licht begin his transformation."
"He... became a demon?" Zakai eyes were full of rage , although Zakai didn't know where the rage came from "What was Lumiere's role is?"
The dryad stayed silent "That's all I'm telling you."
Zakai punched the wall, causing the glass from the skyscraper to shatter and fall to the ground below. not that anyone would hurt themselves anyway, since there wasn't a single mana signal in this ghost town
calming himself down, Zakai looked towards the diary

12/4/1 Lc - forced to escape from the wrath of the demon that destroyed the many villages and human towns. the beast was heading south from its location and starting to come closer towards Eiden, making it so an emergency meeting was held with the council for possible solutions. after a meeting with the commanders, the head of Susanoo' clan wished to fight against the demon, since it was coming closer and closer, but the rest of the clan disagreed. it was agreed that the permation magic-user would create a magic tool with the help of all the other dwarfs to create a sphere around eiden. the magic tool was made in 3 hours
13/4/1 Lc - the demon was defeated, and the permation magic was scrapped. but we dwarf faced another problem, as a small squad of humans came and requested magical tools from us, to help them win a war with a neighbouring kindgom. we declined.
21/4/1 Lc - The Susanoo' clan had become experimental with a new force of power, which they simply called Ki. the Ki was derived from a visitor from the land of the rising sun, and he promised to teach the dwarfs Ki-in exchange in a magic tool that could help him slay an eight-headed dragon. the Susanoo' clan agreed
01/6/1 Lc - the humans had made more and more aggressive attempts in trying to make magic tools by using magic to sneak in and steal them from the forges. the Susanoo clan had successfully learnt ki, but they were keeping it from the other clans in a form to boost their power.
5/8/1 Lc - The Witches had come over and wanted an Odd stone the Susanoo' faction had found one day. the Susanoo clan accepted, although at a steep cost for the witches. I fear for the safety of the other dwarfs and factions. the Susanoo clan had become more aggressive when it came to land stealing. rumours of them being infatuated with a certain god rose across the townsmember but the claims were publicly shot down by the Susanoo faction. the 2 other grand factions the Qshi and Heph family had made an effort to provide support to the smaller clans that were getting swallowed by the Susanoo' clan. my power was wavering, and the townsfolk had begun to take sides. some desired power out of the Susanoo clan, as their powerful Ki power was resecured by the most talented minds in eiden, and some say they had made the technique better than the original in just 4 months. they must be neutralized if they became too much of a threat.
4/1/ 2 Lc - a temporary peace treaty was signed, as the 3 great clans decided to merge for a project that all thought would benefit the power of the dwarfs, and be able to stop the advances made by humans. they simply called it "Alchemy" the power of my family had become minimum as it ever had been in my long line of members of my prideful family, who pride themselves on ruling over Eiden for centuries. now, I feel nothing more than a puppet, where opinions that aren't mine are voiced by myself, but in reality, the three great clans are pulling the strings to my heart, manipulating me like a marionette.
it needed to stop. I need to gain power over them. show them why they are insignificant under me. my family had given them everything, and they DARE gain more power than me. I needed to show them... who really rules this town.
