CH. 7 First Gym

It was morning and Eileen was still in bed. Vulphix went to her bed and start using its paw to shake Eileen to wakes her up, but her effort was waste as Eileen felt comfortable. "Munchlax Munch" yawned Munchlax as it wakes up and finds that Vulphix is still trying to wake Eileen up. Munchlax walks toward Vulphix.

[Vulphix, stop it she won't wake up.] Munchlax patted at Vulphix. [But it is morning and I am hungry.] said Vulphix. Munchlax was sad and asked Vulphix to move back. [Vulphix this is how you should wake Master up.] and Munchlax jumped and used Body Slam on Eileen.

"BOOOM!"

Eileen immediately wakes up and hold her stomach, she looked at Munchlax and Vulphix. "Next time wake me up nicely.". After a few minutes Eileen finally gets out of her room, she wears a black shirt with a grey short and her normal lab coat. She walks to the counter of the Pokemon Center and was greeted with Nurse Joy.

"Hello Eileen, how was your sleep?" asked Nurse Joy. "It was great Nurse Joy.", "Oh Nurse Joy can I borrow your kitchen?" asked Eileen. "Yes" replied Nurse Joy and takes Eileen to the kitchen. The kitchen was huge, there are many ingredients. Without waiting Eileen start cooking her and her pokemon breakfast.

Eileen decided that she will make her special Pecha berry stew with Shuca berry bread. Eileen starts filling the pot with water and Munchlax was cutting the Shuca berry and Pecha berry. Once the pot was hot, she added Pecha berry along with other spices. Munchlax was kneading the dough of bread that has Shuca berry mix in it. After a few minutes, that stew and bread were ready. Eileen and Mucnhlax carried the food to their table and called her pokemon out. Eileen starts giving out stew to Munchlax, while the other she gives out the pokemon food that was created especially for them. But all her pokemon had bread for breakfast.

"Oh, such nice food." Eileen turned at the voice and found it was Nurse Joy. "Would you like to join?" asked Eileen. Nurse Joy and Chansey was now on their break and joined Eileen. "This is good!" said Nurse Joy as she eats the stew and bread. Eileen was happy that Nurse Joy and Chansey was enjoying the food. Suddenly, "Um, Eileen is this Shuca berry?" asked Nurse Joy. "Yes, why" Eileen was confused. "Well I don't usually know that Shuca berry could be made into this, but why didn't you use Oran or Pecha Berry?" asked Nurse Joy.

"Well, I am having a Gym Battle and Shuca berry helps them to have more defense against Ground-type Pokemon, so that is why I use Shuca berry," answered Eileen. Nurse Joy was surprised, she didn't know that Shuca berry could help against Ground type. "Really I didn't know that before!" exclaimed Nurse Joy as she opens a book and writes down what Eileen had said.

After breakfast, Eileen headed to Pewter City Gym. "So this is the Gym," said Eileen looking at the entrance. She went in and found a man was cleaning the floor. The man looks up and saw Eileen. "Are you a challenger?" asked the man. "Yes" answered Eileen. The man walks to the opposite side and the light of the Gym was turned on, as the man came back with two Pokeball in his hands and went to the opposite side of the battlefield. "Hello, I am Flint and the Pewter City Gym Leader." said the man.

Eileen also went to the battlefield, she then introduces herself to Flint. After a few minutes of talking, the battle starts.

Flint "Come out, Graveler"

Eileen "Come out Skorupi"

Flint stared at Eileen Pokemon, as he never has seen Skorupi before.

Without waiting "Skorupi use Poison Sting". Skorupi used Poison Sting toward Graveler. "Graveler used Rollout and Sand Attack". Graveler used Rollout and dodge Skorupi Poison Sting and it used Sand Attack which hits Skorupi.

Skorupi was surprised and try to remove the sand, but Flint didn't let that happen. "Graveler use Tackle." Graveler rushed toward Skorupi and use Tackle almost reaching Skorupi. Flint looked at Eileen and noticed that she was smiling. "Now Skorupi use Iron Tail." and Skorupi swing its tail to Graveler and it was a critical hit, which knocked out Graveler immediately.

"Graveler is unable to battle, the first round Skorupi wins." announced by the referee.

Flint "Go Onix"

Eileen "Skorupi come back, Go Milotic"

"Go Onix used Rock Throw" and Onix used its tail and throw the rocks toward Milotic. "Milotic dodge and use Ice Beam.". Milotic dodged Rock Throw easily and used Ice beam which hit Onix. Flint was surprised at Milotic speed.

Flint "Onix use Dig" and it rushed itself down underneath. Eileen knew that Onix would like comes out underneath or behind. "Milotic goes to the hole that Onix dig and use Water Pule." Milotic follow Eileen and use Water pulse into the whole. Suddenly the ground shakes as Onix rushed out because of the water. "Now Milotic use Aqua Tail.' Blue light covers Milotic tail. Milotic swing its tail which is cover in blue light toward Onix and knocked out Onix.

"Onix is unable to battle, the winner is Eileen." announced by the referee.

Eileen walks toward Milotic and patted its head. "You did well." and returned Milotic to rest. Flint walks to Eileen and handed her the Boulder Badge. Eileen was happy that she received her first badge.

"Eileen, I want to know how can Skorupi still attack after getting hit by Sand Attack," asked Flint. "Skorupi has an ability Keen Eye, which it can prevent other Pokemon from lowering its accuracy," answered Eileen. Flint was surprised and smile, "Thank you".

After the battle, Eileen went to Pokemon Center and to heal her Pokemon. Eileen went to her room after the healing has finished and rested.
