Chapter 2

I awoke to the ceiling of my cell where I immediately sat up and looked at my hands. I could feel more bones in my hands that and they were heavier than normal. (What do I do?) I thought to myself but then I realize was that I could see really in the dark like I had night vision. I was thrilled at what I had discovered as this could help me escape from this place a whole lot easier. When it was time for morning, I heard two of the guards talking about me.

They were talking about what I did last night "did you hear about what subject 5 did to one of the alchemists" Guard 1 said.

"Yeah, I heard he clawed one of their faces off" Guard 2 said.

"Yeah, I'm surprised they have not put him down yet" Guard 1 said.

There right now that I think about it. Why have they not put me down yet. I mean I attacked one of their personnel which means they aren't done with me yet and I wonder why.

It took them 7 days to mess with my genes again. This time they decided to give me gills and the only reason that I could think for why It would be to see how my body reacts to it. They surgically attached them to my neck, and I immediately felt I could breathe better thought it felt weird to breathe through my neck and my nose at the same time. When they saw I was doing just fine they decided to test if I could breathe under water by putting me in a test tube full of water.

It's been 2 years since they gave me gills and in those 2 years they have tried and failed to replicate my gifts that they gave me. During those 2 years I have trained my powers to my fullest but there is so much I can do in a cell. In these 2 years my body has change due to the many frog genes in my body. I now have webbed feet and a much longer tongue, and my skin is now a pale green. I was interrupted by a guard telling me to stand up. It would seem that I will be gaining a new power today.

When I left my cell immediately, I had a syringe to my neck that put me to sleep. When I opened my eyes, I saw a figure cloaked in darkness and it spoke to me.

"You intrigue me human" IT said.

"Who are you" I asked, "I am %^&*" IT said even though I could not hear its name I knew whatever it was it was strong.

"Why do I intrigue?" I asked.

"You intrigue me because even though you are weak you strive for strength" IT said.

"I have a deal for you" IT said.

" What is it?" I asked

"You are about to awaken to a test on your being. You have an option you could accept my help or remain here as a frog stuck in a well" IT said and I was shocked by the offer.

" What kind of offer" I asked.

" I wish for you to become my champion" IT said.

I was thrilled to have this opportunity, so I asked what I needed to do. IT told me that I needed to be given a new name and to head somewhere after I escape.

"Your new name shall be known as Kek, and you shall help me kill the false gods that rule this world" IT said.

" I will serve you faithfully" I said.

We then shook hands and I saw a pale green transparent screen appear in front.

When I saw that extra addition to the pale green screen in front of me, I knew it was time to escape. When I awoke, I saw that I was back on the table. This time whatever power I gain from this would be my key to freedom. But then something popped up in front of me.
