After that day, Michael and I grew closer and more in love. I could finally move forward from Daniel. Being with Michael was everything I had hoped for and more. Michael was so different from anyone I had ever met. He was enough for me.

We hung out at his house on the couch when Maverick walked in and handed him an envelope.

/"What’s this?/" He took it from Maverick.

/"It looks like a wedding invitation,/" Maverick said.

He opened it, and sure enough, it was. He read through it and noticed there was a spot for a plus one. /"Do you want to be my plus one?/" He asked me.

/"On one condition./"

/"What’s that?/"

/"If the wedding sucks, we can leave./"

He chuckled. /"Yes, we can leave if the wedding sucks./"

/"Then yes, I’ll be your plus one./" I shrugged.
