Agnes couldn’t contain her shock as she watched Lucas swing one of his dual blades at Alec’s neck.
“What the hell does he think he’s doing, attacking Alec like that?” she exclaimed, half-expecting someone to answer her, but Arthur merely snorted, observing the scene with interest.
“What’s Lucas up to? Don’t tell me he’s been mind-controlled, but even then, he should know that it’ll take more than that to catch Alec off guard,” Brandon mused, scrutinizing the battle to decipher the unfolding events.
Indeed, just as Brandon speculated, Alec feigned a backward retreat, however, as Lucas changed direction to follow, Alec did something unexpected.
The crowd’s eyes were glued to the scene as Alec shifted his stance and launched his right leg forward, moving so swiftly it appeared as a blur.
A burning black flame seemed to cling to his boot.
Bang!!!
Three thunderous impacts echoed as Alec’s boot struck Lucas’s lowered knee, waist, and neck.
