The night beasts

l was about to move to run towards him, and he stopped me using his hand signal and not his mouth this time around.

"I told you right. Don't move," I cautioned her once again.

He commanded me with his voice hard and stern. I saw the little fire inside his eyes turn big burning with danger and warnings. I swallowed hard as i finally realized that this situation was more dangerous than I thought. I wiped the sweat on my forehead thinking of what was going to happen next.

"Are you used to seeing bloodshed", was the next thing he told me still looking behind me. I nodded my head continuous my cause I couldn't find the voice to reply him with.

" Close your eyes, Zenobia," I told her without sparing her a glance. "Now! And do not open them until I say so."

It all felt like my body was under his control as my eyes forced itself to close and in the next second I felt my body turn ice and my eyes closed tighter like a blindfold was placed on it.

I began to hear the growling of the night beasts and the unsheathe of sword. I heard slashing and kicks, my ears began to hurt from the sound of the beast crying in agony. "I might become deaf after this," I said covering my ears but that didn't stop me from hearing the sound of a crack or something, maybe its the bone of the night beasts, I said assuring myself that all was well. Everywhere became silent and seconds later, I could hear more bones cracking, thumps and thuds and even the falling of trees. The auras around me were so murderous to the extreme that i almost puked out my guts.

My heart began to pump widely cause I could feel the fight going on there was very dangerous, there were so many growling and howling around me before everywhere became silent. I still kept my hands on my ears not sure if that was the end till minutes later I tried opening my eyes but couldn't, I wasn't even concerned about my eyes anymore all I wanted to know was Aiden's safety.

"A-aiden? Are you alright? I don't know where you are at this moment, cause I find it hard to open my eyes. Please answer me if you are safe". I was worried to death about him and desperately wanted to know of he was alright, I know he is a though one but I can't help but get worried about him, I could feel my tears dropping I felt so useless and miserable. It is understand able why I feel this that way but, the sudden care and affection I have for him was a surprise to me. I remembered when the fight was going on everything happening there felt like a déjà vu to me.

" Aiden!" I called out again but got no response.

I watched her, and just couldn't understand how women get so emotional to things, the thought of it made my head ache, I felt satisfied seeing how hurt she was but something inside me ached a lot. There was something in me that couldn't bear seeing her this hurt and her tears, her tears! it was just like the toppings on a ice cream. I immediately went to her freeing her from the ice barrier I placed around her and her eyes. Her eyes fluttered open, her swollen and reddish eyes made me feel more guilty even when I was just trying to protect her.

" Aiden is that you?," I asked the person in front of me cause everything looked blurring. When everything got cleared and I saw that he was the one I felt relieved and hugged him tightly like he was going to disappear any moment.

I frozen in place at her reaction. I didn't know what to do or how to console her it all felt like a shock to me and a feeling of déjà vu, I wrapped my hands around her waist sluggishly like she was going to disappear into thin air.

I - I thought you had left me, I tho- thought something had happened to you. I - I don't know what I'll have done if anything had happened to you. I - I feel so useless and weak I - I am so sorry Aiden for all the troubles am causing you. She said those words to me sobbing and tightened her hands around me.

"Those words," those lines! am sure have heard it somewhere before, I closed my eyes to remember where i heard them before but kept trying to no avail I was interrupted by her tears once again and I felt guilty for hurting her. How I wish I had just answered her when she called me.

"Zenobia, You are not useless and weak you are my little red and you are my responsibility, no body can ever take you away from me or hurt you, am sorry for making you cry." I widened my eyes in shock at what just came out of my mouth. Why is everything feeling so familiar to me, its just feels like something like this has happened before. I pulled her away wiping her tears.

"I just can't take this anymore," I can't become this weak when it comes to her. How will I take revenge on her if this is how weak I am becoming when it comes to matters about her, but this is what have always wanted from the day I sent my eyes on her, to make her fall in love with me and take revenge on her for her father's sins. It just seems like am bound to her forever, first i need her to destroy my enemies and I also need her as a bait to trap and kill her father and now I am feeling this way towards her. Just whats this?, what's the meaning of this feelings?, I need to tell Gaius to prepare a potion for me cause I think my heart has gone berserk.

I closed my eyes and opened it only to find a pair of green eyes looking at me with concern.
