I didn’t play any game ben,

you have to believe me, this is

what dad gave me", he hand the

letter to him.

    "Fine, so when are we moving in.?"

    "You can move in like now, if you

want." Ken said so happy to

know that ben has accepted to

 move in with them.

    "Ok, I will be expecting you, let

me see the boss."

    "Ok thank you ken" Miriam and

ben’s mom said.

    "Is my pleasure," and went away

to see the boss.

Ben was just looking at Miriam

and back to Ken when they were

 talking, "what is she doing? Is she

wishing that she was married to

Ken? Nonsense", he said and walk

away with the letter still in his hand.

    "Don’t mind your husband his

mom told Miriam, I know him, he

 has been like this since I gave

birth to him," she said trying to

calm Miriam down because she

 want to pick a query with ben for

 looking at her the way he did.

   "Ken.. how are you? How are you

 doing with your new life.?"

   "Thanks to you, my father left me

and inheritance no body new

 about so am good now."

    "That was a wise man, sit down

let’s drink."

    Ken sat down to drink with the

boss, and by the time they are

down drinking he was very drunk.

     "Victoria has the gut to sleep with

my father and me. but thank

goodness I am not the father

of that boy, my father is."

      "What…. You mean your father

is the biological father of

victoria’s son?" The boss ask

laughing because they are all drunk.

     "Yes, I can tell you that am not the

father of the boy," he said hitting

 his chest. 

     "You are drunk ken, you need to

stop talking nonsense" the boss

said.

    "No way, I can’t be drunk ok, am

 fine, more than fine", he said

 pointing at the boss.

     "So Ken is not the real father to that

boy.. I see, Miriam nodes her head,

I see, so why did ken accept to

 be the father of the boy? Was

victoria threatening him? i need

 to get to the root of this."

    "Where are you coming from?" ben

 ask Miriam.

    "Must I tell you everywhere I go

to?" Miriam ask 

    Ben walk out of the house, don’t

worry am moving out of this house

 first thing tomorrow morning, I

 have a beautiful and better house

 than this, is it because I decide

 to stay here nonsense."

    "Didn’t you see the beautiful house

 before you come here?" She

 wanted to say nonsense but

 pause when she sees Ben’s

mother.

    "What is going on Miriam."

     "Nothing ma, is ben, he has

started again."

    "Just over look him ok, we will be

 moving out tomorrow, I hope you

are coming with us?"

     "Hmm, I don’t know ma, I still have

 my business to run."

     "I agreed, and I also know that

your business is what have been

keeping us alive throughout this

 period so I can’t tell you to leave

your business and come with us,

but also remember that you are a

 married woman, when you feel

like coming back please do come

 back to us."

    "Yes ma, the kids will stay with me

for now". Miriam said.

    "No problem, I and Ben will go and

see things for ourselves then I will

send you a message to bring

 the kids."

    "Ok ma".

     Miriam keep replaying what she

 record from ken and the boss. 

    "What do I do with this now? I don’t

want to go back to that kind of life

 again, but I need to keep this in

 case."

     "What are you up to this time?" Ben

 pop out of nowhere, making Miriam

 want to jump out of her skin.

    "How many times do I have to tell

 you to stop doing that?" Miriam ask.

     "What are you looking at, or do you

want to call someone that I don’t

know?"

   "Whatever", she said and walk away.

    "Go ahead and call him, make sure

 to tell him that you are married oo."

    "Stop it Ben, why do you always

 look for her trouble?" his mom said.

    "She is the one looking for my

troublem, why will she be calling

 another man when am here."

     "And how did you know she is

calling another man."

     "Mom, just go inside and leave

 ben alone, he has nothing to say and

 beside he is drunk can’t you see.?"

    "Mom, did you hear that? She is

 calling me drunk. When I start

 my own you will side with her."

     "Please leave Miriam alone, she is

 trying so hard to keep us here,

the least you can do is appreciate

 her."

    "For what? She is my wife, is it a

crime if I stay here for a few

 months, and beside am leaving

 tomorrow to a better place."

     Miriam felt like killing him with

 her hands. She looked at him up

 and down and walk away.

     "Go ahead, can you kill me"? Ben

 keep annoying   Miriam all night

 because he knows that he is

leaving tomorrow.

    "Don’t mind your husband ok, just

go inside."

    "Ben please stop", his mother keep

hitting his shoulders but Ben

refuse to listen.

    "My love what have I done to

 you, please come to me," ben

 keep begging Miriam all night.

    "I don’t think you are ok ben, after

all you did to me during the day,

you are still asking me what you

 did to me?"

    "I can’t remember anything, and if

 I have done anything to hurt you

 please forgive me," ben keep

 begging

    "Just stay away from me, after

all you are leaving in the morning".

    "Am not leaving without you, you

 are my wife, and I can’t just

leave you here."

   "What about my business.?"

    "Forget it, we have enough money

 to take care of you, not this

small, small money you are

 making here."

    Miriam just looked at Ben and

turns the other way.

    "I thought I was talking to a

 human being she said."

    "Am your husband , you cannot

avoid me, and you can’t like me

 or hate me at this time, you only

do what I said. You are coming

with me."

    "I have talked this over with your

 mom, and she agreed so why

 wouldn't you agreed.?" Miriam ask.

     "My mom?, what has my mom

got to do with it? I need my wife

 near me, I need your touch and

you are telling me my mom."

    "Ben why are you so selfish, you

don’t think about other peoples

 feelings, all you know is about

 you and what you want."

    "Ok, I know what you want ben

said, you want to go back to

that guy I saw you with the

 other day."

     "Which guy are you talking about.?"  

    "The one that came with your

father the other day."

    "Did I tell you that I like that guy?

Just because I told you that he

 was asking me out and I said

no, you now hold it against me.?"

    "If a man likes a woman and ask

her out and she refuse, he will

not leave her alone until he

 gets her."

    "Look at you? So what are you

 saying?"

    "Am saying you are coming

with me, I will take care of you

and the kids, and I promise to

me a good husband from now

 on, I will work hard to make

 sure that we go back the

standard of living we use to know."

    "Are you sure?, Miriam ask with

 a hug smile on her face.

    "Yes, am sure, I will work with

ken to make sure we bring back

our lost glory."

    "Thank you," Miriam said and hug

 her husband.

    "So will you come with me and

 close down this business.?"

    "If you promise to work hard and

bring us back to the Jackson

 standard then yes, I will do

whatever you said." Miriam

 claps her hands like a baby.

    "Come here, I love you" Ben said.

    "I love you more," Miriam kiss ben,

and he kiss her back.

    "How did it go"? Gina ask Ken the

next day.

    "He agreed to move in with his

family."

   "That’s goodness then, when he

 moves in what next?

    "I was planning to start another

 company with the money my

father left us, but I don’t know

what type of business to invest

in."

    "Why not go back to oil and gas."

Gina said.

    "No, am planning to invest in

hotel."

    "Hmmm,, that will be a good

one too."

    "Let me ask ben if is ok."

    "You know him, he might not

 like it."

    "Then he will have to bring is

own suggestion then."

    "Ok, let’s wait for him then."

    Ken peek through the cuttings

and saw Ben and his family

 moving in with a very big van. 

    "They are here," Ken said and

Gina rush to peek with him.

    "Hmm, look at his head, always

 a truble maker," Ken look at his

 wife and the both laugh.

    "I love you Gina", ken said.

    "And I love you too," he kissed her

and they lock in an embrace. 

    "Thank you for staying with me,

I promise to make it up to you."

    "I know, I have never lose faith in

you my love". Gina said.
