Shinsoku no Ken

I met up with mother in the Uchiha clans Kenjutsu Dojo preparing for my first Shinsoku no Ken lesson a wooden Bokuto resting in the palm of my right hand as I reminded myself of learning the Raiton: Raikousou from her earlier.

Raiton: Raikousou LVL 2/50 - Once the hand seals are complete, the user channels their chakra into their dominant hand, shaping it into a sharp, spear-like lightning projectile. The user can then hurl the Raikousou towards the target. The sharp point of the improvised weapon can pierce the target whilst the electricity from the Lightning creates electrical shock damage leaving opponents paralyzed or incapacitated.

"Head towards the Dojo so I can begin teaching you the Shinsoku no Ken."

Was what she said so I assumed that this was the case. 

Of course other ulterior motives could exist but if that was truly the case then she wouldn't leave this place in one piece.

But I doubt it'll come to that. These pieces have proven to be loyal after all and any betrayal would have to be something made on the spot that was so drastic that it changed their views on me completely. In other words the truths I held.

But then what was the Truth? 

Of course we have already gone over this in detail before and this all pertained to my previous life but I have an example to share of a person believing something to be real when it is not.

This one in particular is dubbed as the White Knight in which a person has all of their problems solved by one person making them heavily reliant on this one person unaware that they were the ones causing all of the problems in the first place.

Wait why did I suddenly explain a basic manipulation tactic like that?

But before I could ponder on that question any longer then necessary the door to the dojo opened revealing a beautiful woman with long braided ebony hair that was of similar length to my mothers tied into a ponytail.

Consequently I did my own in a smiler way meaning I knew who she was immediately outside of the words spoken to me earlier.

"Coincidences can be freaky can't they Kaa san." I stated as she turned to face me.

"That is surprisingly true. Now let's get down to business. The main principle's of the Shinsoku no Ken is Adaptability, Swift strikes paired with precision and swift footwork." She explained to me before moving on to the next part. "The adaptability of the Shinsoku no ken can be attributed to many attacking, blocking, dodging and footwork concepts but this ability relies mostly on the Sharingan to predict an opponents movements in order to adapt to them." 

I have yet to reveal my Sharingan yet since I read that awakening the Sharingan due to pure Chakra Capacity has only happened once in history being Uchiha Yuta's awakening at 30 years of age after consistent chakra training every day for 12 years straight. 

Yuta was the first Uchiha recorded in history to have Uzumaki level chakra reserves and had spent years perfecting his advantage over every other Uchiha member creating the 2 techniques Madara would go on to use. Katon: Goka Mekkyaku and it's advanced form Katon: Goka Messhitsu. 

I achieved that level of chakra in a few months meaning that my rate of growth was insanely quick and possibly not slowing down any time soon. I need a reason for why it awakened first. Perhaps today would provide a good opportunity. 

"Now I will start with teaching you simple footwork patterns alongside strikes and other things then we will spar." I nodded my head in understanding.

Starting with simple steps she guided me throughout the entire process as I grasped the general concepts quickly and moved on fairly quickly the Skill appearing fairly quickly.

Learner Shinsoku no Ken LVL 1/20: The Shinsoku no Ken is a Kenjutsu that focuses on adaptability, precise and swift strikes and swift footwork to create a Kenjutsu style focused on dexterity primarily used by the Uchiha clan. The Shinsoku no Ken is inspired by the Senkoken. 1% effectiveness when using the style.

My leg left the floor as I moved forwards in a quick manner performing a precise thrust following a quick slashing cut from the upper right to lower left. I made more thrusts with my Bokuto as I swiftly and precisely cut my shadow opponent essentially everywhere in non vital areas. I then performed a horizontal slash before moving it into a diagonal slash on the second slash. I of course maneuvered my body in order to keep up with the swift footwork I was using as I just kept my attacks moving.

Learner Shinsoku no Ken has leveled up 2 times

The second I stopped moving to rest the text box appeared being immediately dismissed as I turned around making a swift chopping motion with the blade taking into account of the Laido techniques which focused on attacks straight from the sheathe.

A swift draw directed into a cut before being put into the sheathe and repeated with the sheathe not existing but being mimicked by my other hand perfectly. The several slashes I formed were precise and swift which was good eventually I stopped again as mother called out to me. 

"Now then let's spar after you've rested up for a bit."

Expected. 

I did as I was told and rested managing to get another screen to appear.

STR has gone up by 1 point, Dex has gone up by 2, Con has increased by 2 points.

Around 10 minutes passed before I stood up and readied myself into a counter focused stance which literally meant holding the weapon in front of me and griping it tightly. I also readied my feet into a way that'll help me dodge and block at the same time.

Mother came at me seeing the stance I was using at immediately swung her blade into a precise cutting motion that was blocked with a loud sound of wood hitting wood being produced as my feet swiftly moved away in a zig zag like manner as my Bokuto was thrust forwards. Being blocked easily.

Objective: Hit your mother with your Bokuto once.

Reward: 12000 EXP and automatic advancement to the Intermediate stage on the Shinsoku no Ken skill. 

Suddenly I don't feel as confidant as I was in this spar.

And I had yet to realize how right I was.

A loud piercing sound of a horn was heard as I woke up to a desolate white room with a bed of the same color. 

My eyes opened revealing the clear form of my current roommate. Golden blonde hair and deep violet eyes met my own eyes of brown as she walked up to me a smile spreading on her beautiful face.

"Hello Aki chan." She said with emotion not fit for this place.

"Hey Shiina." I said as I climbed out of bed and prepared for the exhausting day filled with tasks. 

"So what do you think we're doing today?"

"Don't know so long as it isn't troublesome."

"You sure are pessimistic. I mean come on one day we might leave this place alive you know." She sounded quite upset about that.

"That's too optimistic. So long as we are in this facility we will never know what the outside world looks like. Maybe that's obvious but the point is and always will be that unless a miracle happens we will be in this facility as mere test subjects."

It was at that moment our chambers door opened and as per our regular schedule we were told to leave and head to our first task or lesson of the day. 

"Head to the Climbing area." The cold voice spoke as we all responded by just walking there.

"Shiina over here."

I heard a group of female subjects speak as I tuned them out until they started talking about me.

"You know you are fairly lucky Shiina san to be the roommate of Akira."

"I know. I just wish she wasn't so pessimistic 24/7." 

I kept hearing them talk but continued walking towards the task's location reaching it in a few minutes. My mind focused as the door's opened revealing a massive wall of what was properly actual mountain with sharpened rocks and rough edges that we were going to climb up and down from. At the top of the 30 foot mountain were instructors who had stop watches on them.

We were going to be timed then. 

"Line up." Our order was from an unknown male instructor who had a clipboard in his hand prepared to write down our performance's for today. As another one appeared next to him although his uniform was different. 

All Whiteroom staff members had a bade on them that contained their ID and rank in the facility. This one did not instead he had a formal black tie and more formal suit that was still white but still signified his status as the founder and current head of the facility.

Ayanokouji Atsoumi. My father or well I only see him as such at the most technical level possible and I was certain he did as well.

"Hello subjects today I shall be overseeing you progress be sure to impress me with your results." His cold but well spoken tone alongside the orbs of an abyssal void was nothing more than just a symbol of power. And the way he referred to us only served to heighten that fact.

"Your task for today is to climb this structure behind me in groups of 4. The first one's to the top receives a reward. The last one to the top in these groups will get punished unless they manage to reach the top under 5 minutes. If everyone gets to the top in more then 5 minutes the reward is taken away and everyone is punished." 

As he talked I was already going through my stretches as I prepared for the task in front of me.

My breathing was unstable as I attempted another counter not hitting her but being blocked easily for the 1000th time today felt quite frustrating though I knew better then to let my vexation dictate how I fought.

It was very different from back then though. I had emotions and could tell which emotion was which. I cared for other people beyond the idea that they were pawns to my much larger game though that was only my family. I would have smiled at those thoughts if I wasn't a bit annoyed. 

As I continued my rapid strikes that was being blocked I found an opening that was her Shin and with incredible speed and focus I managed to land a singular hit on her taking her by surprise.

"You really improve at light speed don't you." She chuckled as she spoke the compliment causing me a small smile to appear on my face. 

"Well I am the daughter of 2 very prominent and powerful Konoha Shinobi." My immediate reply was as I felt a headache come on due to the sudden influx of new knowledge entering my mind.

"Well I think we are done for today. Have to cook food before your father attempts to set the house on fire with his cooking again." She laughed as she said that but the most surprising thing was a small almost inaudible giggle escaped my lips. 

It was only for a second but it felt so freeing to just laugh for even that length of time. I then felt a new bond form between me and mother.

Intermediate Shinsoku No Ken LVL 1/20 - The Shinsoku no Ken is a Kenjutsu that focuses on adaptability, precise and swift strikes and swift footwork to create an agile Kenjutsu style primarily used by the Uchiha clan. The Shinsoku no Ken is inspired by the Senkoken. 41% effectiveness when using the style. You are now capable of using 2 of the 5 signature technique's of the Shinsoku no Ken. 

To unlock the technique's you must talk to a person with either the Kenjutsu tutor social link perk or have somebody willing to teach it tutor you on the move and help you perform it at least once.

Well that was pretty expected actually. 

I started heading home with mother.
