Chapter 1 : Reborn in a GAME

This Fic originally created by an author known as holyJoker, I chose to pick up this Novel after it was abandoned in the first few chapters.

===================

In a small village named Yellow Grass Village in a small hut, the screams of a woman can be heard.

...

Inside the hut, in a small dimly lit room a woman was in bed she was covered in sweat. She has dark hair and a pale face. While another woman with blonde hair and blue eyes tries to calm her down and with strange green light covering her hands.

...

"It's a boy mis... the baby is... healthy."

Though the healer doesn't say anything she noticed that the baby doesn't seem to be crying that is abnormal and he might be stillborn. She already knows that the woman is going to die so the least she can do is to allow her to pass on peacefully.

"I -I am so glad." Says the woman.

The woman who gave birth died with a very tired smile on her face.

But as the healer was about to check if the baby is truly dead. Suddenly the baby opened his eyes. For a second the baby's blue pupils seem to have an unnatural look in them but it passes as soon as it came and then...

"UA! UA! UA! UA!" The newborn baby starts crying.

'Must have been my imagination.'

Then she rocked the baby to calm him down ...

...

But the baby had a whole different thought process from her.

'What is happening... I was alone in my room... and suddenly I am in a new born's body.'

...

And just like that two years pass by.

'In the Yellow Grass Village, a village of a population of 50 and it is known for its yellow grass that can help players tame pigs or boars.'

He looks at himself in the mirror and he sees his reflection. Black hair and haunting blue eyes. With an average looking face but his blue eyes make him seem like he is above average.

'It has been two years since I have been here. This village is not unknown to me. It's a village where you can buy grass that gives you +30% at taming Pigs or Boar pets. This was from a virtual reality capsule game that I used to play a lot in my first life. I even played so much that whenever I wasn't studying for college I was playing it. There used to be around 76 million players in the game worldwide.'

He steps down from the wooden stool. Then he goes out of his bathroom and towards the kitchen and looks at his new… so-called mother. She has blond hair, blue eyes and she has some wrinkles on the side of her eyes. Stating her true age. But still, the beauty that she had when she was younger… there are still traces of it.

The name of the game was Legendary Choices.

One of the things that made Legendary Choices so great was that not everything was black and white. The player chooses one of the kingdoms that he wants to be summoned and he starts to adventure after there. They have to try to get missions first and so on.

But if you chose the Holy Kingdom and you were suspected to not be a true believer they would kill you. If you died in the game unless you had a rare rebirth item which was VERY rare or you didn't have a Legendary Pope cast Holy Revive on you... the other option is that you would have to restart with a new character.

'The game was also very unfair if a high-level player stayed in the city and started spawn killing all of the new players as soon as they got out of the city but people could pay other high-level players real money to kill that player.'

'My guild also had a small business like that some of our secret members did. They would be the bad guys and people would pay us to be the good guys and help them.

We also made 30% of our real money revenue from a rich guy that we scammed repeatedly ... man that guy really was dumb ... My guild members didn't even need to work part-time with the money that we made in-game by scamming other players.'

Alex then sits down. Gona then looks at him and smiles.

'If she is a healer then she should be from the Holy Kingdom or at least allied with a Holy or Healer God…'

When she sees Alex walking around she smiles and says. "Oh I am glad you woke up so early today Alex. I made your favorite again, rice with cheese."

He just smiles and thanks her.

Anyway, the surest way that he knows that he is in that game world is... by...

'One thing different from the game also is that I could raise my physical stats with only training.'

Also, people only get Perks from surpassing specific bottlenecks in stats or getting a rare talent from rare dungeons. I suspect mine came from the System sensing that I have higher intelligence than the average baby of this world. So it might have mistaken me as a baby and labeled me as some kind of genius.

Players couldn't get any other Perk unless they got it from stat bottlenecks. After all the players were so many on one server so they definitely weren't the Main Characters.

The heroes were the so-called main characters from each country that came together to fight against the Beast Waves. Depending on how much the players contribute the battles could have had different endings. That was version one of the game called Awakening of The Beast Emperor. That is where the heroes had the most major role.

So yeah the NPCs were the actual heroes.... the players were the side characters. Yeah, it is true that you could interact with the different MC's and even become close friends with them... or their enemy ... depending on the player's choices.

One major thing in the game that we had was freedom. You could do literally anything as a player from being a plumber, or farmer…. to becoming a traitor of the human race or an army general. Even race changes were available like… become a Vampire or something like that...

While he was deep in his thoughts Alex was planning all of his moves 100 steps ahead. After all, even though he lived like an average human in his first life he did have a VERY big flaw... he was a control freak. He wants to know everything about everyone and have everything go according to plan.

He used to be a guild leader in the game and even made some good money by playing the game but he still chose to go to college. Still, even when he was born he wasn't really surprised and immediately started crying to act like a baby.

After all… even calling him a control freak is a great understatement... his thought process is along the way of thinking that every possible series of events is happening all at once.

Live that way and nothing will surprise you. Everything that happens will be something that you've seen before. That is his twisted thought process...

....

Upon finishing his meal he thanked his 'mother' and went away to play in the yard. Which mostly consists of running around and thinking of different possibilities and how to prepare for them.

Also, he has a specific class in mind that he played most during his playthrough, it was versatile and it had a lot of evolution choices.

When he walks outside of his house he starts going towards the river close to the village. After walking through the muddy road for a while he arrives at the river. He sees the bridge over the river but he doesn't even take a step on the bridge.

Alex then looks at his own body.

He should be grown up enough to swim. Especially with all of the body training he has been doing. He has a 3 in Constitution that is as much as an average adult. And I am only 2 years old. Though my HP conversion is half of an adult after all the average adult has 30 HP but I only have 15 HP. I guess that makes sense I am only a kid after all.

He then takes off all of his clothes, he was as naked as the day he was born or... reborn.

And then with a perfect jumping form, Alex goes in the water.

*Splash!*

Immediately he starts shivering a little... and after his body gets used to the cold he takes a big breath and goes underwater. Alex was a good swimmer in his first life. He used to live close to a lake so yeah that was pretty much a necessity... to have fun.

'It better be here.' Thinks Alex while searching underwater. After 20 seconds he comes back up above the water to breathe again.

As expected with a child's body I can't hold my breath for a long time. So only 20 seconds. Thinks Alex with a contemplating look on his face.

....

After some time Alex finally finds what he was looking for.

'FINALLY'

Alex has a red egg in his hand as big as his head. This used to be very difficult to get in-game. It really was already here... even after diving underwater for about six times only then was he able to find it. But it was definitely worth doing this.
