Beast Identification Procedures

"Huh?" Bai Li knitted his eyebrows to the man in front of him.

The receiving end's nonchalant expression made it more sullen. Unknowing why he would make such a request. He was the only obstacle of Bai Li of a good nights sleep so he tried to get over the issue quickly.

"Why?" He seemed extremely tired as he spoke with Zhao Fei.

"I want your room."

"Why would you think I would give you my room."

"No reason, I just wanted it."

Bai Li stood silently, how in the heavens was he gonna ever strike some sense to the stubborn man in front of him. His cold and loner-like attitude also made it hard to continue the conversation.

"Look, I'm tired okay, do whatever you want but I'm not gonna openly give you the corner room."

"Whatever? I will surely do that."

"..."

"..."

Both just watched each other for the other to respond.

'What seriously goes in your mind?'

Zhao Fei left with just that short conversation they had between two robots sharing some dialogue.

Bai Li didn't know why but he finally used his room key card to enter.

The light illuminating the room was most likely fueled with an energy source here.

The room was extremely nice, on par to those top story condo in the capital. A total luxury.

A huge wall was to his left with a door pressumably a closet to put in some outdoor wear or as a normal storage.

A huge glass pane was on the corner from the front wall and the right wall, which could overlook the area they were in. He opened the curtain to see bustling lights of the school with some students attending night classes. Instructors were usually powerful warriors and fatigue doesn't deter them from doing their job. They could go on for a week before needing a rest or something similar to one to function well. But they could still get mental fatigue so they would opt out every week for one day in which another teacher could take their place.

The system for the teachers made sure their was always an available lecture at one time of the clock and for everyday.

He forgot all of his fatigue from awhile ago and continued to explore his room a bit more.

A personal shelf filled to the brim with books near a small work desk caught his personal attention.

Material objects from his world could not be brought over, which most likely meant these books were using material from here.

He spent an hour skimming some to see biology of monster books and certain studies. He found two books on history of the Soul Realm and another for archaeology. Needless to say that they held little focus on those subjects so his chosen subject wouldn't go far. But a legacy of the dorm was found.

Seen from a rather large book as an index of some sort. But with close observation, the large thicket of paper was rather misshapened and folded, compensating the weight of something as it pushed down.

He pulled out the large index and opened to show what it was.

Lo and behold, a small magazine was found, the cover was taped and cleaned extremely well, pristine condition.

He thought it would be a random article of some sort depicting the lifestyle of the Soul Realm but he was wrong.

On the first page he flipped through, he could see two voluptuous mountains towering near one another. Sturdy as it forms, but when looked closely, one could see that with just one touch, it would most likely spring back.

He opened his eyes wide and hid the book back inside the index, he cleaned it to make sure there would be any evidence of any touch and continued his expedition.

A small kitchen with two units of counters, a stove and a fridge was near. The fridge seemed to be much more strange as the insides, one could see the blue glow of something and the cold sensation it gave. The power given to the fridge was self-sustaining.

And next was a living room. A small tv was seen, a strange sight to see in the Soul Realm as a television somehow made it to this side. A thickness of the screen made it seem some crazy reactions occur inside of it, as the screen let out a low hum.

And just like that, the television turned on to show an advertisement of some energy drink. He turned it off and thought he wouldn't really watch anything on it.

To the right was another wall which faced towards Zhao Fei's room was.

He felt extremely puzzled on what Zhao Fei was gonna do but left it to see a set of weights, a bench with an arm bar. The Multi-Purpose Combat Analysis Machine was near with a letter attached which was an A. An A-Grade MPCA machine was here and he was extremely happy. Not only did it have more functions than the standard, it had more precision of determining one's strength and build up upon it to some hundredth decimal.

After checking every nook and cranny of the room before entering another section of the room, which was a corridor to his bedroom.

It was a queen-sized bed with two pillows laced with a red string embroidered with flowers. Same could be said with the red blanket with a large flower on it.

The showers looked extremely average with a shower and a bathtub connecting together. The toilet was a white marble sense made it cold to the touch.

He took a brief hot shower to relax his muscles and dried himself with one of the most softest material he felt to this day. He was dazed as he continued wiping himself with it. The ability to absorb the moisture on his body was very high.

His hand sunk into the bed as he scurried over to the middle, arranging the pillows as he wished.

After fidgeting for awhile, he went into a deep sleep.

unbeknown to the events happening in the room over.

Sleeping like a brick, he got up, brushing his teeth and washing his face. He continued dressing up in the school cadet uniform and wore a stylish green band on his arm, signifying his role as an Elitist showing that enforcers don't have to do anything when the other courses had their mandatory classes.

He walked over to an electronic display to see a calendar showing the day. August 1st 4027 of the Union Calendar. On the day, a section showed which classes were available, with when and where of the class.

He found numerous subjects doing lectures while he found one that would help him in the future.

A miscalleneous class for Beast Identification Procedures.

It was open for the newcomers so most students would be there if they had a brain to know determining what they were fighting was important. Knowledge was usually power in most circumstances.

He walked out of his room to see that a red outline still appeared to the door of Zhao Fei.

'Is he gonna skip the first day? He's not gonna make a good impression to the teachers.'

He walked on the hall, hearing a strange locking sound in his room as he passed by.

The campus was large with student couples spending their time leisurely, hugging and kissing about.

His face showed some disgust as he head over to the building of his lecture, shortly arriving.

He opened it to see vast rows of students with seats vacant in every area.

A female teacher with a militarized skirt was showing a monitor of how to determine a beast's strengths and their usual weakness. The lecture was starting very soon and she was ready to start.

After a few minutes, she began her presentation of the lecture.

Showing the usual way of classing warriors.

They were three ascending categories of Warrior, to Surpasser, to Evolver. There were two additional categories after that, but the teacher showed that they wouldn't need it since becoming an Evolver already took a large portion of time to reach. Each category had nine stages and were divided by three by Low Tier, Mid tier, and High Tier. At the 9th Level, they were usually given the Peak status if they were gonna breakthrough to the next stage. The level they were at was an unorthodox term not usually used by the Union as they did not have enough power to coexist with the three categories.

To which were either called Beginners or Novice.

Every student were a Novice in the school before they graduated to become Low Tier Warriors.

All the student's goal were to reach high enough power to ingest a Soul Crystal so that their growth could be more profound and they reach more potential.

The categories were usually determined by their body fitness level reaching certain key points.

From a fitness score of 10, which usually everyone had, they were determined as a Low Tier Novice. Going more specific was that were Level 1 Novice.

Each 10 would signify their spurt of power and reach the next level.

While in the Warrior Level, each 100 determined the next level advancement. 1,000 by the next as a Surpasser, and 10,000 as the max as an Evolver.

She began her real presentation of how to identify beasts.

New species of monsters appear everywhere and so, they were usually given a scale to sort power called a Soul Scale, which comes to an appearance of a slick armband that was similar to a heart monitor. And another determinant of a way to determine a beast's strength was a bloodline. Which needs a portion of its blood to reduce and shows its true power of the blood.

The soul scale depended on its soul power, soul manifestation, and soul aura, separated into Ordinary, Abnormal, Primordial, and Saint Grade. The first region, the soul dimension area they are in is known to have much ordinary and abnormal grade monsters. Primordials were an even rarer occurence and Saint Grade was exponentially more rare than a primordial. Even encountering a Saint Grade would be considered lucky in their life in the first region.

The instructor put emphasis that the monsters from the same grade actually do not follow linear power grade so as an cautionary to not underestimate their opponents.

The class ended like that and any other classes seem unnecessary to Bai Li and was returning to his room to use the MPCA. He was extremely happy and saw that Zhao Fei was still locked in his room and was worried if he was okay.

He came to his room and used his key functioning card only for his worry for Zhao Fei to dissipate.

The whole right side of the wall, which faced Zhao Fei's wall was gone.

And there Zhao Fei was using the now conjoined training room with two MPCA side to side.

"What the fu**."
