When I look back at it I regret it. I regret my actions and their results. Am I really the one to blame or was it my youthful energy or my attraction towards change. I don't know honestly, but it's me. The scent of death is all over me and it won't be long before I'm dead too, and I don't care anymore especially now that I have no reason to live.

So dear diary, I want you to listen to me before I'm dead. Hear out my little pathetic life story, one last time!

I'm Vikrant; I belong to the only oppressed community in Bharat, Ghatbor. We live in a confined state Ghatodan. All the privileged communities live in the cities of Vijaydaam, Maanpur, Rajesor, and many other princely states and cities. Ghatbor people don't earn much but enough, we have small businesses here, government funded occupations, and other odd jobs like sweepers. The sweepers, cleaners, manual scavengers or any other service providers are given tickets and time allotments for their work in the cities. I have never been to Vijaydaam; but my grandfather once went there when he was allotted to write a book on the famous statue of Kelzai. People say the statue of goddess Kelzai represents greatness of the Roha community. The Roha community makes up only 35% of the country's population; still they live on the outside of the gates and enjoy freedom, privileges, and rule over the entire Ghatbor community. The courts are ignorant to the Ghatbors, women are raped by the Rohas everyday but the justice is dead, there is no freedom of speech. Media is controlled by Rohian ministers. We are not allowed to go outside of the country; every Ghatbor kid hears stories about the vast oceans and dies dreaming about it.

Life is hell for Ghatbors in Bharat. They say equality was once sought after extreme struggle by the oppressed and untouchables centuries ago, maybe Ghatbor was waiting for one such struggle, one such revolution that will change the future of Ghatbors and Bharat forever. Little did I know that I was the one going to change the history forever!
