Chapter 5: Apologies

Prince Ryker's P.O.V

"I would like to apologize her lady Adalia would like to use the training arena for only one round and she has allowed for you and your people to witness and watch as her grace try out a new bow… if it's okay with you your majesty" the tiny man bowed in front of me. I look at tall woman in front me, her red dress shining brightly with her pale skin and black her contrasting against it. "It would be an honor for my men and I to witness a strategist practicing in front of us" I replied "your majesty may shine and eternal glory will be with you" he replied as he bowed and went back

"I can never get used to that type of greeting" Colin replied behind me "I think is nice" I smiled. A red flag waved up high and all the workers left in the area, I look at the lady and saw she grab a red ribbon and tied it around her hair. I can hear my men sight in her beauty as she then grab tied the riels in her waist and suddenly she took of quickly, her once poise manners and behavior suddenly switched to a strong and disciplined as she moves and aims, I was stunned to see her moves, and I can see the people around me staring in awe.

The feeling of wanting their alliance greatly fired when I saw the war strategies practice her archery skills, with that great talent receiving training under her is already an advantage for us. Never would I ever imagine that a woman like that could be incredibly talented "she sure is a jewel" Colin complemented besides me "we definitely need her, if her archery skills are spectacular imagine her with a sword" he said analyzing her. We stood up watching her on the last level in this arena, "will she make the shot?" Colin questioned "definitely" I answered but to our surprise it wasn't just one arrow but all five left and a bullseyes as well. "Bloody hell this woman is a warrior" he said with a jaw drop. It was completely amazing to witness such skills "we need her. We really need her, your majesty if we get to train under her-"I cut him off "I know, I'll try talking to her now" I said as I left and headed towards her.

As I approached her she was speaking in alahedia language, I couldn't understand her but as soon as my presence became known she looked over me and bowed. "Good day your highness"

"Good day" I replied and bowed my head in respect

"Here" she gave her weapons to her maid

" I wanted to compliment you in your skills, it is truly magnificent and I respect you" I said

"Thank you, It is just practiced and discipline" she said as she grab the cup near her and drank from it

"Well it made me feel optimistic for the upcoming war if ever you were to join us" I offer her a handkerchief

She grabbed the handkerchief and wipe her mouth and sweat in her forehead

"I know this is very un lady like of me and so do pardon my actions and this" she waved the handkerchief "Is mine now, will give you a brand new one if you don't mind" She said

"No please you can keep it, and it is absolutely normal if you sweat, remember soldiers don't even wear an armor just naked up when training" I added

"Do you also train?" she asks sitting down to a concrete bench near the lake, I didn't realize how far we have walk and completely left the building

"I do everyday from morning, usually around before the sun peaks and if it's fully display that is when I stop" I responded

"That is a great mind setting and it takes discipline to get out of bed" she commented

"Well I am trying to be a better person not only for me but also for the western kingdom"

"It is a big responsibility to uphold" She said looking down

"I can never thank you enough if this truly will come true" I said looking at her

"It goes both ways, and I can let you in a secret" she neared me

"I am actually excited for this to happen" she said

"This is a rare opportunity for a strategist to finally let out their skills, specifically in war, war don't come that easily anymore. The past war strategies died not even touching the battle field" She said looking at me

"Well, I am happy to hear that, at least I am confident with the strategies you make" I said

"Thank you even though it might sound incredibly stupid of me" she laughs

"How about you?" She asked

"Hmmm?" I questioned

"What's your take in this war?" She asked

"Well to be honest, at first I was terrified with the though of losing of my kingdom. But I won't lie if I say that the journey was not exciting. A little stress here and there but coming here is was fun.... if fun was the right term to use in this situation" I responded

"I completely understand it is not often we get to explore the world and see beyond out kingdoms" she said

"That is true and I-" I was cut off when a maid came in looking for lady Adelia

"Lady Adelia! Lady Adelia! Lady Adelia!" She came in looking for her

"Over here!" she exclaimed

"Lady Adelia.... huff... huff.... huff.... Sir Keilian is looking for you and asking for your report" The maid said huffing in sweat

"Oh no!" She stood up, she then faced me and bowed

"I apologies for my rude exit but I should leave for this is dignity or death for me" She said, I smiled and stood up next to her

"Don't apologies and go now before it is too late" I said as she gave me one last bow and run

I watch her as she run, her long black hair flowed through the air as she made a right turn, disappearing from my eyes.
