Exams

Time went by quickly, the fool and Novis studied quite hard every day doing their utmost best to remember everything.

"Novis, who revolutionized Magic and started imbuing?"

"That's easy Luce, it was Nikola Fusione."

"Great, and with that concludes today's session."

"Finally, tomorrow is the great day after all."

"I am still a bit nervous."

"Oh please, you studied with me ok, you'll do great."

"But I haven't really done anything physical."

"Have you seen yourself in the mirror? Your muscles are improving by the day, anyone would assume you lift weights every day."

"Really? I haven't had a good look at myself in a while, but why are they still improving?"

"Hmmm, should I tell you?"

"Come on Luce, please?"

"You can do a little better than that."

"Fine, could you please tell me why my muscles are getting better oh great Luce."

"With?"

"Please, with a cherry on top."

"Good job, It's because I told you before, your core is one in a billion, or million I'm not really sure."

"HUH? YOU NEVER TOLD ME THIS BEFORE, I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS THAT SPECIAL."

"Maybe that's why I didn't tell you?"

"YOU COULD HAVE SAID SO BEFORE, BUT THAT DOESN'T REALLY ANSWER MY QUESTION."

"You gain power by learning than exercising, the more knowledge you gain the bigger your core gets."

"How does that even work?"

"It shouldn't, but it does either way, I don't really think too much about genetic stuff, it takes a lot of brain power and usually ends up depressing."

"I guess, but this is still great news, now I really am confident about tomorrow."

"Well we should sleep as much as we can, tomorrow is going to take a lot of energy."

"That works, want to carry me again?"

"Of course."

"WHA-"

"Haha you thought, use those legs of yours, you may get stronger with knowledge but nothing beats personal experience."

"Fine fine."

They ended up walking back together, although the fool did annoy Novis on the way there by making fun of him and teasing him a little.

"Well, good night then Novis."

"You too Luce."

"𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸."

The fool fell asleep after a couple of minutes, Novis on the other hand took at least thirty, yet in the middle of his sleep, Novis somehow managed to leak his Magic out of his body flooding his bed and waking him up.

"𝘏𝘶𝘩? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘴𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘵? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?"

After analyzing the situation a bit more.

"𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘐? 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨."

With no second thought, Novis climbed onto the fools bed and leaned in on him

"Hey, Luce, I'm sleeping here now, no questions asked."

"Fine do whatever, probably, I guess, just let me sleep well."

The fool was too tired to deal with anything, he was enjoying his nice dream where he killed and got rid of everyone he hated.

Novis was quite glad the fool didn't really mind and tried to sleep quickly.

"𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘦, 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭, 𝘐 𝘬𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭, 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺."

The fool woke up first and realized Novis was extremely close to him, he didn't care too much about it, but he was clinging onto his arm a little too much.

"Novis as much as I enjoy sleeping and you being here, I wouldn't want my good arm to fall asleep."

"But, I mean, fine I guess."

Novis gets up and lets out a big yawn with his hair extremely messy.

"Well, time to get ready."

It may not usually happen but they both got up and woke up at the same time, they brushed their teeth together, styled each other's hair, and laughed a lot.

"𝘐 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯, 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭."

"That sure was something, anyways let's head to class Novis, can't miss out on the first exam."

"Of course, I've never felt so happy and confident about an exam in my whole life."

"I mean you haven't lived for that long, the longer you last the more unexpected it get's."

"Speaking of which how are you so old again?"

"Well, It's a little interesting."

He whispers the secret into his ear just in case anyone eavesdrops.

"REALLY? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I DID THAT?"

"Mess around and find out, you'd be surprised what Magic can really do, speaking of which let's hurry."

Together they rushed to class just in time, the first exam was history.

"Attention everyone, we will not allow cheating of any kind, now be nice, sit tight at your desk, and try your best."

Everyone was given three sheets of paper, there were about fifty questions in total.

"𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳-𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵, 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺."

The fool yawns and finishes first quite quickly, he hands over the sheet to the Teacher extremely impressed by his work.

"Hm, everyone the last question should be the easiest, so if you're stuck try answering that one and trying the hard ones later."

"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯? download𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵?"

Novis fills out the first forty-nine questions with ease and finally get's to the last question, and with a single look, he can tell that it was in fact the hardest one.

"𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘐 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵."

It reads out, 'Who is the strongest man in history.'

He glances at the fool almost asking for help to which he replies by smiling and giving him a thumbs up.

"𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳."

'Luce Solstice.'

After about thirty minutes the exam ended, everyone seemed quite stressed and tired after the first exam, except for the fool and Noivs, they were especially ready for the next exam, Magic Theory, and upon arriving.

"Welcome students, do not worry, as long as you have studied what I have recommended you should all be fine, except those two idiots."

"Whatever you say just start the exam already."

He scoffs at the fool and hands out the five pieces of paper to everyone.

At first glance it appears like more advanced math, except it uses the four elements to spice things up, it is quite similar to chemistry on paper but it is still in a league of its own.

At exactly thirty minutes in the fool and Novis both stand up and hand over their sheets of paper to the Teacher.

"Did you give up already?"

"Take a look for yourself."

He grabs both of their papers and slams them on his desk.

"I'd rather not waste my time."

They both don't exactly care and head back to their seats.

"𝘐𝘧 𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘴."

At the hour mark the rest of the students hand in their papers to the Teacher, they all seem almost exhausted from the amount of work and thinking they had to put in but there is still one more exam left, the combat exam.

"Oh yea Novis, you never really told me what this exam was about."

"Well, I thought you had a deal with the Teacher no?"

"Yeah but you know me, I love competing."

"You have to show the Teacher your own special move, and how practical it is."

"Hmm, I think I have an idea then."

Everyone formed a line, most people made a blade of Rock, some daggers some swords, and some even hammers, in the end, they were all bland and the Teacher started to get a little annoyed about it.

"IF ALL YOU'RE GOING TO SHOW ME IS A SIMPLE BLADE OF ROCK, THEN STEP OUT OF THE LINE."

Most students ended up sadly stepping out but some still stayed, the few that did made walls of Rock, and sturdy pillars, and surprisingly only one was quite innovative, he made brass knuckles out of his Rock Magic and showed off his fighting style which was quite similar to that of a boxer.

"Finally someone with actual talent here."

Novis simply showed the Teacher his special Water sword.

"So this is the sword that was able to cut me, go on how does it work."

"If you look closely you can see small blades of Water instead of a regular sword edge, and when I propel my Water with as much pressure and speed as I can, it turns into a chainsaw-like sword."

"No wonder you injured me, you can be quite impressive kid, good job."

"Thank you, Miss."

The fool walked up and asked, "Are you not going to test me?"

"You're getting the highest grade either way."

"Aren't you interested in Thunder Magic?" He snaps his fingers creating a shock between them.

"I've seen a couple of things related to it before."

"How about some Ice magic?" Snowflakes slowly appear flying out of his glove.

"Wait how can you-"

"Or maybe some Light Magic?" An almost blinding Light is released from his glove.

"OK I GET I GET IT, YOU'RE TOO COMPLEX JUST LEAVE ALREADY YOU GET A TEN OUT OF TEN STOP IT."
