"Such scary beings. Every one of them had the ability to sense the environment like my spacial perception but different. It felt like countless eyes were watching me as I entered the large building." Alex spoke aloud to himself.
He shivered as he remembered the feeling the angels radiated.
Alex opened his eyes as he felt the end of the rift coming up.
He smiled as he smelt the scent that earth gave off, after being away for so long it stood out like a sore thumb.
Alex walked out of the rift and prepared to get a better lay of the land. Unfortunately, he was immediately tackled by an unforeseen assailant.
'The woman from before?'
'I won't be able to survive this.' Alex thought as he created a portal below him, just barely being able to finish it as his head sunk through the ground.
Alex reappeared several hundred feet above the ground.
With someone clinging on to him that is.
"You! You just came through a rift!" Merilda exclaimed as she held herself in place with a steady control of the wind.
"I did, you could have killed me." Alex said addressing the more important issue.
"And?" Merilda said looking at him questioningly.
Alex looked at the woman an incredulous look on his face for a moment.
He shook his head as he turned away, and reappeared back on the ground.
'That's right, I how many people just get killed then swept under the rug. With my nearly invisible background, it would be all too easy.'
"How did you come through a rift?" Merilda asked as she appeared behind Alex.
"I walked through it." Alex said as he began climbing a tree.
He was in such a glum mood that he couldn't sugarcoat any of his words.
"No shit. I meant how are you not on some foreign planet fending for your life."
Alex smirked. "I was, I even met my creator. You would be happy to meet him, he is a very nice guy. After we had a talk he sent me back."
Alex watched the woman's face as she held herself back from chopping him into pieces.
'I'm sorry, but you are just too emotional. It's not a bad thing though, you helped me out of my bad mood.'
"You know, I could just capture you and get the information from you by my own means." Merilda said as she cracked her knuckles.
Alex reached the top of the tree and looked around. 'Not far from where the fighting occurred I can get home without getting yelled at.' Alex thought as he looked up.
'Less than an hour has passed. Thanks for sending me back in a reasonable amount of time. I can't even imagine having to explain where I was.'
He looked down towards the woman. "There's no need, Drak heard it all and I'm sure he knows that I'm not lying."
Alex then looked up. "Right?"
From within the spacial dimension, Drak was seen with a surprised look on his face.
Alex smiled, he could see the thin slits in space that Drak was peering through. He could even see ripples in reality as Drak's energy poked and prodded him, all thanks to the new dreamlike energy he wielded.
Drak stepped out from a portal and spoke.
"There is no need Merilda, no matter how strange it sounds, Alex either believes what he is saying or it is the truth." Drak said as he looked at the boy climbing down the tree.
'The way he worded that, sounds like they definitely would have captured me had I not spoken up.' Alex immediately put a guard up against them. The trust he had in Drak shattered in an instant.
"How is everyone else? My instructors, they aren't too badly hurt are they?" Alex asked as he reached the bottom.
"They're fine, other than a bit of whining when towards me for not intervening sooner, they are completely fine." Merilda said as she looked at the strange young man in front of her.
"Almost halfway through the school year and you have so many people looking out for you. Your using your luck up pretty quickly aren't you." She added as Alex patted away the foliage that clung to him.
"Yeah, a mixture of the relationship we had built and a large investment they are making for the future. If I survive they will have a strong ally in the future." Alex said as he spoke what he had gathered from all of his instructor's mannerisms.
"It's the same for you and Drak, although I haven't been able to build a relationship with you two."
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my name is Alex. I have to get going though I've got work to do." Alex said with a nod of acknowledgment before turning around, his mood falling once again as he expected a messy laundromat.
Merilda was about to stop him but held herself back as she realized she had no reason to do so.
'He is smart, too smart. His mind energy rejected mine as soon as I said one sentence to him.'
Drak sighed as he watched Alex sprint away. 'he is a very careful boy, something as simple as interrogation broke his trust with me.'
"Let's go, he will be fine for the time being." Drak said as he opened two portals.
Merilda snapped from a daze as she heard Drak. "Are you sure he is just fourteen?"
"I don't know anymore, but he isn't the only one to change so radically in such a short time. We have to return and prepare for the temple's retaliation" Drak said before stepping through and disappearing.

"I'm happy that they have finally left." Taylor said as they floated down the cave.
"I am too. An entire week of them just giving out promises that they would never fulfill, was funny to watch but things did get pretty rowdy towards the end."
Alex created two halos of light and the Taylor sat down to absorb the energy.
Alex sat down on the hood of the car. His eyes settled on his hands as he focused on the new power he had unlocked.
Alex's head started spinning once again. Looking around he could see everything warping around him. The two halos twisting and turning violently compared to how calm and still they looked before.
While fighting the nauseating feeling, Alex found that his energy was flowing differently.
'Finally.' Alex thought as he couldn't feel if he was even awake anymore.
"Hello! Is anyone up there? Hey, can someone throw me a rope or something? I can hear you up there." Alex turned quickly as he heard a voice from the other side of the room.
'Is that the skeleton?' Alex thought as he saw a man looking up.
"Damn it, this country has gone to shit. First I lose my job, and then I get trapped in a sinkhole."
"Hey, you bunch of assholes, at least call the cops or the firefighters or someone, there is no service down here at all." The man said as he checked his phone.
Alex heard a loud crash as the look on the man's face changed. He screamed for half a moment before his body fell limply to the ground.
'That... I don't even know what to say about that.' Alex lifted his hand and a notebook appeared in it.
He quickly copied the pattern he had seen the man put into the phone.
'At least I can now confirm that people were slaughtered by something or someone.'
Alex was so surprised that he hadn't even taken in the fact that he completely understood the man who was speaking English.
He reached through a portal and grabbed the phone from within the car.
'Phew, I thought I was gonna have to ask someone to hack into the phone.'
Alex looked at all the icons on the screen and froze for a moment.
'Since when…? Oh. At least tell me when you put knowledge into my head.' Alex thought as he realized he could understand the once foreign words.
He sifted through everything and tried to see if there would be anything to learn.
Nearly half of the apps didn't work as there was no internet connection.
Alex sighed as he continued to look through what was left. [Latest news: The United Elite Taskforce has Arrived Back On Earth Safely.]
Alex tapped on the news notification hoping to finally get something.
He put the phone down for a moment as nothing seemed to be working.
'I need to connect it to the internet from back then to get anything. The possibility of anything from that time working is very low.'
Alex looked at the car behind him. 'But not zero, I've already found one relic in working order.'
Alex got up, put everything away, and sat below the two halos, absorbing the energy around him.

"Did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"There is a petition going around to have the principal removed."
"Haha, that's good! Serves him right, kissing up to those men caused way too much violence. I'm surprised he wasn't fired earlier."
Alex listened to the students around him as he sat in the gymnasium.
'This is the first I've heard of this. It must be because they were ready to kill, I can tell that the secret society is pushing the petition. Such a big war is coming up, to think that I will be at the forefront in a few years, it's scary, to say the least.'
"Alex come on hurry up! We have something to show you!" Taylor yelled from the entrance to the magic building.
Alex smiled and started jogging. He followed Taylor who dove into a room.
"Surprise!"
Alex looked across the room, all of his friends were present and there was a table filled with a banquet of food.
"So this is why you told me not to eat lunch. Thank you all for this, this is my first surprise party so you will have to be patient with me." He said as he looked at all the delicious food trying to keep his stomach from growling but failing.
"I'm surprised you were able to get these guys out of class."
"Shh, we are supposed to be touring the magic building, but I didn't tell you that." Clay said while eyeing the desserts hungrily.
The group ate the food merrily and had lovely conversations.
"Look, it's raining." Tom said as he walked to the window.
"That's not rain that's hail." James said as he arrived next to him.
"Is it already that cold out?" Alex asked as he also walked up to the window.
"It is and it's only going to get colder." Paul said from behind.
"Last one out gets a handful of hail shoved down their shirt!" Damon said before sprinting out of the room.
It took a few seconds but Taylor was the second to sprint out while grabbing his coat. Then Raven, Alex, the Captains, Ana, Janet, Dylan, and Derek sprinted out behind them.
Alex neared the door and he felt the cold air. He stepped outside and felt soft snowflakes landing on his head.
"Alright everyone, move out of the way. Who was the last one to get out." Damon said with two handfuls of ice pebbles and a little snow.
Everyone stepped aside as Clay pushed the door open. "You guys that wasn't fair, I was still eating. What are you doing? NO, NO!" He screamed as he ran from Damon who chased him with an evil laugh.
Alex smiled as he watched everyone attack each other with the snow.
Alex stood in the snow looking at the buses pulling in, a bright fire could be seen in his eye.
"Alex! Are you pumped, the competitions begin this week?" Taylor said while hopping out of his mother's vehicle.
"I couldn't be any more pumped, all the training we have been doing was in preparation for this."
"I can't wait to blow the other schools out of the water." Taylor said as he started shadow boxing the snowflakes that neared him, his arms becoming blurs as they moved at high speeds.
"Save your energy for later, besides we don't get to fight anything other than beasts this year." Alex said calming him down.
"I know, but there is always the possibility that there are ninjas hidden and I might get to fight."
"That's true."
