Reunion

Arlow's gaze looked across the open Necron fleet before him and he felt a sense of satisfaction rise from inside him. The way everything was going was all according to his design. He had placed a series of physical quantum anchors he had designed to pull off a massive shift of targeted forces into a new dimension of his creation. The nodes acted as an extension of his arms, extending his reach so that such a large area could be covered.

Even though it felt like he had already experienced all this, he was still enjoying the process of it in the moment. It was the same feeling one had when they had practiced for a performance for an uncountable amount of hours, and now that it was time to perform, it was effortless and even enjoyable.

He glanced over towards the Old One Krork command ship and considered the 4 chosen people with souls out of the hundreds he sent out would officially meet him in the Warp after a few seconds. Slagar was not a surprise for him and Gork and Mork were also within his considerations. But Aymon the Khaine Aeldari was an interesting choice.

Arlow mentally commanded the Incensia around him to shift him into the Warp. He stepped into the Warp as easily and seamlessly as taking a stroll. The Incensia energy alone allowed him to permeate dimensions with an effortless command. The Embers who had chosen their life partners soon appeared in a small bubble space of silver winds, separate from the chaotic red of the usual Warp.

Four mist-covered souls formed in front of Arlow as the short meeting of his first 4 Ascendant Candidates appeared before him.

"POPZ!!" A gigantic green Krork twins screamed happily and immediately jumped to attack him.

*SMACK* *SMACK* *WACK*

The two Krorks attacked Arlow's soul form and Arlow effortlessly moved his arms to block their blows as if he already knew where their attacks would come from. Aside from the two twin knuckled-headed Krorks, Slagar and Aymon appeared as souls as well. Slagar had an emotional look in his eyes as he finally saw his teacher again, while Aymon had his jaw open in undisguised admiration and awe at Arlow's beauty.

"Teacher, it's good to see you," Slagar said emotionally.

"It's good to see you too, my foolish student," Arlow said back.

All while he spoke, Arlow continued to block the punches, kicks, and attacks of Gork and Mork like it was nothing.

"Teacher, I- you deserved better from us," Slagar said, guilt heavy in his voice.

"Stop. I know what you want to ask." Arlow stopped him while continuing to fight off the two Krorks with preemptive movements.

"I will take back what was stolen from me. But I can forgive your part in it, and the children of the Old Ones, who do not know what was done." Arlow commented.

"However, your people will pay their price," Arlow said with finality.

"Hello Aymon, I am pleased to meet you." Arlow greeted, directing his attention to the Aeldari who still had his mouth agape.

"O-oh, hello" Aymon replied.

Arlow nodded at him with a slight smile, before he finally turned more of his attention to the two Krork troublemakers who were still trying to wrestle with him. Despite what it might seem, Arlow liked these two kids. Their souls were incredibly pure despite their violent tendencies derived from the bodies created by Weklor. They only needed a little discipline from their father and they would make fine leaders of their race.

"That's enough!" Arlow's voice boomed as the silver winds in the area stirred and restrained the two Krork children. He then gave them the equivalent of two bonks on the head with his hand.

"I know you both are excited, but we can fight some other time." Arlow continued, his voice lowering and becoming more gentle.

"OK, I call first FIGHTZ!" Gork agreed, while quickly calling dibs.

"NO! ME!" Mork said, disagreeing with his brother.

They seemed like they were about to get into another fight so Arlow spoke.

"The Embers, have chosen each of you. Ascend the Incensia, defend this universe alongside me. There are many external threats like the C'tan which may come." Arlow explained while looking at each of them one by one.

"I'm counting on you." Arlow finished.

The souls disappeared from in front of him as their souls returned to their bodies on their respective ships. Arlow also faded himself from the Warp and appeared back in reality.

Arlow's eyes slowly moved towards the central Necron command ship, which contained Og'driada.

*Brzztt* *Brzztt* *Brzztt* *Brzztt*

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom*

*Pew* *Pew* *Pew* *Pew*

A desperate battle collided all around him as Og'driada forces were attacked from three separate sides by Arlow's Necron rebels, the Aeldari Warworld, and Slagar's Krork forces. If any attacks approached him, he either adjusted himself slightly so it missed or deflected it with some Incensia quantum-matter manipulation. His eyes were instead focused on the arrival of Og'driada, who would soon come to face Arlow specifically, in his arrogance as a 'higher' C'tan.

A small smile made its way onto Arlow's face as he saw a Krork vessel, covered in green Waagh energy, brutally ram itself into a Necron command ship. These guys were A bit silly, but it works quite effectively.

Finally, after waiting an entire minute. Og'driada's giant repulsive figure appeared from the vessel and he launched a pulse of grey energy across the battlefield, which caused the instant death of hundreds of thousands of Krorks and Aeldari.

Arlow held up his hand and channeled the Incensia within his body. Lightning arced from his eyes as a powerful barrier expanded at the speed of light, acting like a solid wall, preventing the grey death energy from extending any further than it already had.

The pulse retreated inward, reaping the lifeforce of all those he killed like a scythe culling wheat in a field, pulling it in for Og'driada's empowerment. However, it was at this moment that Arlow moved.

*Tension* *Tension*

*Spring*

Arlow's leg muscles clenched before he launched himself at an incredible speed, towards Og'driada. He arrived in front of him, just before the grey energy could reach him, and punched him with a fist infused with dense silver and gold lightning.

*CRACKLE* *BOOM*
