The noises of a bubbling potion came through the Communicator and Sascha could see in his mind the old man at the foot of his old cauldron, stirring some compound with his slender, dexterous hands. When the old man finally answered his question, a flash of astonishment and disbelief shook Sascha's body.
"He can nurture the manic force in your body, as well as that of babies." Sheamus's tone was serious, his absolute assurance.
Manic transfusion? Was it even possible? Wasn't that scientifically impossible? As if responding to the doubts in Sascha's heart, the old man clarified. "It is possible as long as you are both compatible, as a result of her getting you pregnant, it is one hundred percent safe to speculate that you are compatible. Besides that, at this stage, the mana circulating in the twins will only be compatible with that of both parents "
Sascha pursed her lips thoughtfully, a thin, pale finger rubbing the lines of tension that quickly grew between his brows. He pinched his nose as he thought and thought. The thoughts of her chasing the old man's words.
"Good. I do not promise anything, but I will keep your words in mind. " She finally sighed.
"Okay." Sheamus readily accepted Sascha's words. He had been the only father figure in the young woman's life, so he naturally knew her better than anyone.
"However, I have no idea how you expect me to contact him. I don't even know how to find it. " Sascha shrugged feigning concern, but inwardly she was shamelessly clinging to the burning nail before her. If she didn't know how to find the monster, no one could blame her for anything in the future, right?
"Oh! I wouldn't worry about it. " Enigmatic words came out of the old apothecary's mouth. Sascha narrowed her eyes, her bright gaze seeming to want to pierce the device illuminated by the mysterious ruby glow.
However, no matter how many times she asked, the old man did not reveal another word. A foreboding feeling crept up Sascha's spine. This she pressed her lips together, feeling as if she were standing at the foot of an abyss, watching helplessly as a storm brewed before her. A storm that would not hesitate to strike and throw her life out of balance.
She shook her head, pushing the sudden foreboding away from her.
"What did you tell the witch?" Did you tell him something about my situation? It was the hidden meaning in the words of this of hers.
"Do not. I only told him what was necessary, the rest is solely yours to say. " Properly reading the apprentice's words from him, Sheamus replied in a rare soft voice.
"Good." She let out a deep sigh of relief filled with complicated feelings.
Despite her prickly temper, Melida seemed like a good person and she liked him. Or was she that she was naturally conditioned to be liked by this type of person? Most likely. However, the other party was a witch, a guard dog serving the kingdom and human laws. A guard dog who would not hesitate to kill to get his job done. To say that monsters were the natural enemy of humans was just natural. Without being aware of it, Sascha hugged her belly, where her two magical bugs grew. A feeling of protectionism pressed her soft lips into a fierce grin.
At the time she did not know Sascha, but from now on her perception of the world could only be shaken and destroyed from the very foundations of her foundation.
They spoke for a couple more seconds and when Sascha's stomach began to growl in protest, the magical bugs in her womb demanding attention, they said goodbye to her with the promise to keep in touch. After this Sascha wasted no time, but rather she left the shed without studying it in depth.
Last night she had been so exhausted that she had given him only a slight cursory glance before falling directly onto the pallet. This would change later, obviously, but for now ...
She breathed in the fresh air outside, shielding her eyes from the harsh daylight. She looked up and blinked in disbelief. No wonder her teacher had been so surprised to find her sleeping, the sun hanging high in the sky signaling lunchtime. As if wanting to corroborate her earlier thought, Sascha's stomach growled again with more insistence than before.
A cool breeze playfully caressed Sascha, tugging at her dress and tousled hair. She heard the sound of wings in the air and took a slow look around her. Sascha's eyes twitched as she spotted the myriad pixies swaying through the branches and lurking among the buds of medicinal herbs.
Bodies the size of butterflies, with all the colors of nature, their tiny figures wrapped in beautiful halos of diffused light. Hair wound with green ivy threads and dresses made of leaves and flowers. Almond-shaped eyes black as night stared at her without blinking.
A chill prickled Sascha's skin and a trace of panic momentarily crossed the emerald depths of her eyes.
She drew back slightly when a group of pixies approached her, they fluttered around her like butterflies. Sascha had no way of knowing, but the truth was that the little creatures were curious about her, as the only human they had ever seen from close to her was the witch, who just didn't count. Not when she had the power to manipulate spirits, monsters, and demons at her whim.
The pixies fluttered, playing and tangling with her hair, others just gently tugged at her clothes. Her manner was cute and pampered, like little children after coming to terms with a stranger. A surprised smile tugged at Sascha's lips, she couldn't resist the childish charm of the mischievous creatures.
Another group buzzed in her direction, a wicker basket dangling between them. With a flutter, they held the basket within reach.
"Is for me?" the sound of chimes in the wind answered the question.
She thanked them and took the basket. She snorted in amazement, for this one was heavier than the little creatures implied.
The strength of a monster no matters its size could not be underestimated! She gave the pixies a wary look before rummaging through the basket.
There she found sandwiches, fruits, and a thermos, finally! food! Sascha's heart leaped happily and she drooled automatically.
She wiped the corners of her mouth with the back of her hand. Besides the food, Sascha found a note from the Witch.
... Rest for today, I will return at sunset, and then we will talk. Under no circumstances or reason do you enter the Forest, do not touch anything, and wait quietly ...
