Chapter Eighteen

Nate P.O.V

Everyone at Tyler's place was gathered in the living room making small talk and laughing with one another but the moment i step foot in the living room everything went silent. It made me feel as if i was not allowed to be here, as if i did something wrong. "Who invited you?" Tye questions me with a stern look on her face and her arms crossed in front of her chest. I knew this was too good to be true. "Aaron asked me if I wanted to come so I took it as an invite." I said. Katelynn stood up and walks towards the kitchen and everyone around me goes back to doing what they were doing before i got here. "You can stay. Drinks are in the kitchen." I'm so grateful that Tye gave me an opportunity to go inside the kitchen. When I entered the kitchen there was an immediate nostalgic feeling that filled the air between us. She moved towards the sink to pour her water in a glass. I took a few strides to the bar fridge and accidently touch her hand. The sparks were flying. "Uhm excuse me." She says moving out of the way so that she can pass by. "Katey wait please." I say to the now empty door way. I really wanted to talk to her but how am I going to do that if she doesn't even want to look at me.

"Guys i want you to meet my friend Jessica." Tye says. I'm in such shock at the moment because how does Tye know Jessica. What is Jessica up to? I'm so sick of these deliberate games. "Jessica what you doing here?" I question her and everyone else look between Jessica and I with a confused expression on the priceless faces. "Why won't I be here? Tye and I have been friends for so long now." Jessica explains confusing this situation even more. The fact that she's friends with a human and Katelynn's best friend of all people is just bonkers.

"Tye I hope you don't mind that I invited my boyfriend over, he'll be here in about a few minutes." Jessica says in an nonchalant tone. I wonder who might this boyfriend be of hers. I took a seat next to Molly seeing that she's the only one that doesn't mind me being here. When I just got comfortable someone knocks on the door. "Oh that must be him, I'll get the door." Jessica exclaims. She seems so excited to this boyfriend of hers it's giving me the creeps. "Baby I missed you." I hear Jessica say. When I took a peak to see who this person was, I couldn't believe my eyes. His just standing there at the door waiting for an invitation to come in.

"Tye invite him in please. He has this respect phase going on where he doesn't disrespect others." I couldn't help but laugh. Before anyone could comment on my laughter I cover it with a few coughs. I wonder how long this night is going to be I can't stand her already.
