The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

The Apocalypse descended as the world turned into a game. And while everyone panicked, I couldn’t help but wonder if there was something wrong with my eyes. [Logging into the Game Master’s Account!] And my ‘oh-so-average’ destiny, changed into ‘is this a cheat life?’ Kind of destiny. [Would you like to Create a Skill? GM Points will be consumed!] While others struggled to kill a single goblin, I was searching for stronger monsters. While they were happy with getting even a random weak skill, I was customizing what kind of skills I needed. Even my Talents and Gifts can be customised. The only limit was my imagination. Heck, even the hidden quests that people would trigger randomly were present in front of me even before the scenario began.  It wasn’t fair by any means. But isn’t that how life is already? [Would you like to make changes to the quests in the next scenario? GM Points will be consumed!] Is this how an apocalypse is supposed to be? I don’t know. I just tried following the script in front of everyone while trying out my cheat in hindsight. Don't get me wrong with the ‘pig eating tiger’ kind of thing. I just don’t like attention. I would rather stay with two trusted friends than with 10 fake ones. [Would you like to Initiate a Custom quest for the Players? GM Points will be consumed!] And for the players who were bullying the ‘weak’ me. One may even wonder how they ended up losing half of their stats and skills in a randomly triggered impossible type of quest.  Fate can be truly scary, you know?  One must always be careful of it.

[Blood Gaze!]

"Shit!" I woke up with a sudden jerk as I looked at the outer field in front of me. Gazing at the sleeping players, I observed Mark, Alice and everyone else who was in deep sleep. And looking at the dark sky, I sighed in relief as not much time had passed.

Looking at the tutorial time, exactly 4 hours have passed since I blacked out. Best guess was the effect of that potion.

On that note

'Better,' I thought before looking at the increased stats. With this, I should be able to build a proper foundation of my mana based skills. Maybe I can accustom my [Gift] along with Mana?

"Now where could he be?" I looked around for the white goblin, wondering where he was.

"What are you?"

"?!!"

Alarming, I hurriedly moved a few steps forward. And turning around, I almost took my weapon out before I saw that white goblin looking at me with his eyes narrowed.

"That scared me," I breathed in relief as I looked at him. He was still staring at me with that narrowed gaze, his eyes didn't look pleased at all.

"Can you let me use the [Shop!] now?" I asked, trying to ignore that stare of his, while he just mumbled,' monster' under his breath before opening the [Shop] for me. It was ironic hearing that from him, so I just shrugged my shoulders before looking through the skill present there.

I needed a skill that could help me kill a lot of mobs at once. Something that would increase the hunting efficiency.

'Hmmm… will this work?' I thought as I looked at a particular skill.

It was a utility debuff skill that went well with my [Perception!]. If I take my future [Gift!] into account… The synergy was good. Infact, given the right situation, it was kind of broken.

"All right, let's go with it," I thought as I bought the skill, before wondering if I should buy something else as well? Though everything else that I wanted was costly, so I left it for until tomorrow when I will have enough points.

Standing up, I then stretched a little and began walking outside the area. It was still an hour till dawn, so the darkness still remained. Even the moon was gone, making it pitch black dark. If not for the [Perception!], I would have been pretty much blinded.

"Hmmm?"

At a distance, I saw someone walking towards me, or to be precise, the safe zone. He was the same guy that had scored the most points in the second tutorial. If I remember correctly, his name was Alex, wasn't it? Though why was he alone?

'Didn't he go with an entire group with him?' I thought as I observed Alex, covered in blood. As he walked closer, he paused to look at me. His eyes glowed a little red, while he looked at me. But after a few seconds he walked past me without saying anything.

'Hmmm? Strange,' I thought as I turned back, and saw him walking until he reached the gate, paused and then spoke,

"Don't underestimate the monsters here."

"Sure," I answered as I knew it the first time when I battled with that goblin warrior.

Alex then continued walking, while I also began moving towards the direction where he had come from. My eyes observed the few goblins that were walking around at a distance of about 500 meters, and I sighed before moving faster.

[Agility: 7.2 -> 9.2!]

Given the situation, I decided that if I wanted to hunt faster, I needed my agility stat up more than anything.

-Whoosh!

My speed increased, as I kept running towards those monsters. And at my fastest speed, I covered the 500 meter distance in less than a minute. And as I reached them…

[Blood Gaze!]

[You have killed an F-Grade Monster: Goblin!]

[You have killed an F-Grade Monster: Goblin!]

[You have killed an F-Grade Monster: Goblin!]

[You have killed an F-Grade Monster: Goblin!]

The hunt began as I killed the first 4 goblins and moved towards the next.

[You have killed an F-Grade Monster: Goblin!]

[You have killed an…!]

[You have…]

The notification rang as I kept killing them, and within a minute, I killed 8 Goblins.

I paused, took a deep breath, before I searched around. Found another Goblin group 200 meters to the east, and began running in that direction.

Time passed as I kept killing one goblin group after another. Minute after minute, my hunt started getting faster as I killed more and more. Some of them had Goblin Warrior, and another type of Goblin, Goblin Fighter, but it didn't increase the difficulty at all.

Unfortunately, I still did not find any monster stronger than an [E-Grade] one. By the end of my hunt, I looked at the time and sighed. It was a pity, but I had to stop since it was near dawn, now. In about 10 more minutes, the sun would come up, so I gotta get back to the [Safe Zone!].

Took a minute break before I started running back as fast as I could.

[Points: 23,200 Points!]

[GM Points: 816!]

10 minutes later, I was back at the [Safe Point!]. I saw the area was getting brighter as the dawn appeared. It wasn't pitch black as before.

My eyes then observed everyone, including Alex who was dyed in blood, still sleeping soundly on the ground. Despite sleeping on the rough surface, they slept peacefully without any tension, making me sigh a little.

'The Apocalypse must have taken quite a toll on them,' I could only pity them before observing moving towards Alice and Mark, before trying to wake them up. But perhaps they were so tired that they didn't budge at all.

"Now what should I do?" I mumbled before I looked around the safe zone. And then a certain idea popped in my mind…

"This should be interesting," I smiled as I called out that goblin again. It was a bit cruel given the situation but I guess it's the best way to get a head start over everyone else present in this place.

And understanding what I was going to do, even the goblin widened his eyes, before a smile appeared on his face as spoke," that's so evil. I like it!"
