Chapter4: Exam day

All the women in the castle were nervous. The first day of the trials have begun no one has been informed on the tests yet. Many of the women were being flooded will telecoms from their fathers and mothers telling them what to do. Many of the parents were telling their children to use their looks to attract the king others their sexual appeal. Y/n was simply standing off to the side watching their nervousness. One of the women was so nervous she slipped on another girls dress making a domino effect. Five girls lie on the floor groaning in pain. A small chuckle can be heard behind Y/n.

"Please for graceful ladies of court they seem a little clumsy" says a girl leaning against the wall behind me. "And who might you be?" I ask. "Jillian, and you?" "Y/n pleasure to meet you". "Now I don't mean to sound rude but you don't exactly look like you want to be here" Jillian remarks "I didn't want to come you don't look like you want to be here either" I say. "I don't I am not even interested in men" Jillian says "I can't help but observe but the emperor seems to have an eye on you" Jillian continues. "Yea you could say we had a past but not a romantic one" I say "what were you like childhood friends" Jillian says "more like enemy's" I say "ah, he looks guilty when looking at you" "ha I doubt it" I remark "really then what's that look he is giving you" Jillian says looking over my shoulder. Sure enough Jimin walks into the room giving me guilty puppy eyes. "What the fuck is his problem" I whisper "I don't fucking know but I think he likes you" Jillian says "I mean who wouldn't" she also says. "Ladies please return to your places his majesty has arrived" Jimins right hand man says. "Bye" Jillian says and walks down to the end of the line. I step over to the line and stand in between two of the other women. "Good morning I hope you all have had a good rest" Jimin annonces "today is going to be a long one". "Each task that will be provided will determine whether or not you are worthy to lead the nation" some of the women straightened up their backs 'worthless' I thought 'he isn't going to want you for your fucking posture' I kept thinking 'maybe he would how would I know anyway' "Y/n" Jimin calls "yes" I say. "Did you even hear what I just announced?" "Yes?" I say "what did I say then" he raises an eyebrow "something about how the tests will determine is we are fit to run the nation" I say "after that" he says "well I wasn't listening extremely sorry" I respond "well then you should pay more attention next time "he says 'fuck you' I think "yes sir" I say.
