Chapter 8: Whispers of the Abyss

As the trio stood at the edge of the oasis, a palpable energy lingered in the air. Orion and Emily, their eyes filled with curiosity and concern, turned their gaze toward Kael, who emerged from the water with an ethereal glow enveloping him.

Orion, his voice carrying a mix of awe and uncertainty, asked, "Kael, what just happened down there?"

Kael, still resonating with the newfound power, recounted the surreal encounter in the oasis. With a gesture, Belial approached the trio. He cast a glance at Emily, who bore the physical toll of their journey. Her leg, broken by the wyvern attack, left her unable to walk.
